Property Ratings at The Pearl
Management is not very responsive or actually able to manage the paperwork and interworkings of a property well. They seem to have no control over the rent portal, location is meh and it is over priced
This complex is not worth the money, and does not provide the things it advertises. The doors don't shut properly. Windows that are not a sliding glass door do not open. There hasn't been a single month in which all the amenities advertised were fully available to tenants. The Pearl is marketed as a "Luxury Complex" with plentiful amenities listed on its website. Unfortunately there is nothing Luxury about it. Things are continually broken and in disrepair. Safety is an issue, with building access points not locking and garage doors not functioning. Gates broken for 6 months, car was broken into on-premises. Elevators broke 7 times since January, the gym is out of towels, Comelit call boxes do not work, package mailboxes were broken into and vandalized and tenants are unable to obtain packages, federal mailboxes were tampered with requiring tenants get new mail keys. When emailing the leasing office regarding an increase in price for renewal, I waited 3 days and still had NO response. The excuse I was given is "We are working on it". The Pearl has been "Working on it" for going on 1 year now. If you want to get your money's worth and live somewhere that is as advertised, with even just the basics such as functioning building doors and being able to access your mail, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!!
Overall my stay has been very good. I absolutely love my brand new contemporary and modern apartment. It's perfect. I couldn't be happier. Neighbors are warm, friendly and socilable. I love the amenities; the beautiful 1st floor lounge and conference room, the 2nd floor business/study lounge (for those who work remotely) the gorgeous rooftop clubhouse, pool and hot tub and gym. The entire front office, Nicole, Amber, Mariana, Bridget and Ashlyn are down to earth, friendly, helpful and most importantly responsive whenever I've have questions or concerns. Their customer service is excellent. Resident activities and opportunities to meet others are sponsored and organized by the front office. They try hard to provide community atmosphere. The maintenance crew are fantastic and happy to help. Management is very good about communicating to the residents through the resident portal app. Bulletins are sent frequently. That's definitely a positive. I'm very happy with my decision to move here. It's a great community.
When I tell native Austinites how much we pay here they are horrified but overall I’ve found it money well spent. I love the clean lines of our modern apartment and it makes it easier to keep clean. The amenities are wonderful and the front desk is generally very helpful. I do wish a few basic things such as the back gate and package system being broken would be addressed in a more timely manner. After 5 months here I would highly recommend the Pearl.
Move in with the pearl has been wonderful, not only is the community beautiful but the staff are so helpful. We look forward to our time here
The team at The Pearl made my stay excellent. Like many, I have rented in Austin for decades. Usually the most glaring issues are with the office teams being unresponsive or downright rude and uncaring. There couldn't be a more stark contrast with the Pearl. I was treated extremely well and through all the personal issues I faced both getting into, and then having to leave my apartment, they did everything to help. Just plain old HELP. Really can't say enough about how much I appreciate them through all of this.
