Ensley provides a quiet location on the north side of Pensacola, slightly removed from the beaches but still within a short drive. Ensley sits between Interstate 10 on the south side and the University of West Florida to the northeast. Property Ratings at Pensacola Grand
I like living here, I really do. However, there are some things that need fixing. The sauna worked for about two weeks and broke with no estimated time as to when it will be fixed. My packages get delivered to the front desk and sit there for days without any notification. Or expensive items marked for signature only delivery get placed on my door to sit all night long without any at home. My fan has been making a very loud noise when on for several months. After a month or so of asking, maintenance came out to replace it and then said “We could replace it, but that model does that. Nothing we can do.” I was finally told weeks ago it was a rod the workers took out when installing, but they can get the rod and fix it. That was a month ago, still no rod, and still a very loud ceiling fan. We were also promised a gate with security, that we will never get. Package is atrocious. Now for some positives... The place is beautiful and spacious. The bathrooms are gorgeous. The bath tubs are huge. Aside from the ongoing construction (which I don’t really hear unless I go outside), it is quiet. If they could fix the downfalls, it could really be great.
First, the pictures of the Pensacola Grande are not on the actual Pensacola property website. The Alabama property pictures are on all local apartment searches due to the community being under construction. On Jan.18th, 2018, several cars were broken into, one car was stolen. When the community manager/office was asked if there was any surveillance or type of "patrol" that night, a definite answer was not given to either question. No gate is available to stop misc. people of trespassing the property. Yet, the office has stated to residents that there is supposed to be a gate. Several cop cars were parked there that night. Law enforcement that supposedly resides there or visiting, and now only one police vehicle is parked since the break in's occurred. Why did they all decide to not park their units at the community after that night? Does the Pensacola Grande have a courtesy company that patrols, staff or will they ALWAYS have a courtesy officer? Also, have residents been informed on how to report to this courtesy company or courtesy officer??? Not only is the advertisement of the property disappointing, but the amenities for pre-leased residents are really shorted due to the community being under construction. A brand new community should give residents dates on amenities being finalized. OR don't have it advertised to prospects and residents until the community is fully built. Dates were given to residents that amenities were to be available for use, yet some people have resided 12 months without using a single amenity. Cable and internet is not an amenity, you have to pay the $60.00 bill on top of marketed rent that is non negotiable.

We’re sorry to learn of your negative impression of our community, Alexandra. To address some of your feedback, we openly inform everyone who contacts our office that the photos on our website belong to a sister property and are only meant to give prospective residents an idea of how our community will look once completed. As for finalized amenities dates, we understand that our community members are anxious to know when they will be able to enjoy everything we have to offer. However, we want to be open with our residents but did not wish to release any dates and fall short of delivering, so we will refrain from providing exact amenity finalization dates. Currently the sauna is the only amenity not available, we are working to get that finished this month. The AT&T media package is considered an amenity because everything is pre-wired, so there’s no activation fee and everyone is notified prior to move in that the media package is required. For the continued comfort of our residents, our community is currently patrolled by four Courtesy Officers, 3 of which have police cars. Our Courtesy Officers, as well as our office and emergency maintenance service, can be reached via the phone numbers listed in the information we gave our residents in October 2017 and to new move-ins after they sign their lease. Ultimately, our team prides itself on providing accurate and consistent information to our residents but acknowledge that sometimes updates and changes within our community can lead to miscommunications.
