Roaches in the apartment. Common pool area filthy all the time. Common bathroom spaces never have soap, paper towels, and are dirty. Amenities close to early or don’t work. Dog park is filled with dog poop everywhere.

When I first moved in my washer and dryer didn’t work, and mind you I was the first tenant in that unit. It took three months to fix. Shortly after that mold started growing and they essentially cut it out leaving a large hole in my ceiling for about 2 months. Finally was able to get someone to patch the hole, however it was never painted so it was quite the eye sore and still hadn’t been fixed when I moved out. There was also a constant dripping noise in the ceiling in the kitchen area that was never fixed so that will be fun for the future tenant. Air conditioner broke in the middle of summer, my apartment got so hot and uncomfortable i slept several nights in my car. It took multiple calls to management to fix the problem after being told new tenants moving in were more important than my air conditioner being broke. Maintenance walked in my apartment without knocking, ringing doorbell or announcing themselves while i was bathing and proceeded to walk in my bathroom. Management never even so much as apologized. Aside from all of that, the most frustrating issue by far was my upstairs neighbor. With a combination of stomping, yelling and two large dogs running around starting at 5am until after 11pm it makes for a miserable environment. Complaining to management did nothing, it only seemed to get worse. Unfortunately management only seems to care about getting people in and not maintaining the current residents. In the end I pleaded with management to help me fix the issues and was given two options. Move to another unit or move out. I ultimately decided to move out and it was the best decision I have literally ever made. I have never written a review but if I can save one person from what I went through it will be completely worth it. What’s sad is the amenities are nice, just nothing else. There are better options in the area where you will not have the same issues.

Beware these apartments covering up and not disclosing that some of these apartments have prior water damage. Everywhere from the base boards, walls & doors. We found cockroaches probably from all of the moisture inside the walls. Leasing office try to hide these details from us and pressured us to sign leasing documents before we could inspect the apartment. Tuesday November 1st 2022. We got our keys and and did a pre-inspection and found the apartment was never cleaned every surface was untouched. We address this to the assistant manager she encourage us to clean it ourselves. We came into the office the next day and talked with the Head Manager. We sat down and explained our situation. She was defensive and acted like this was business as usual. She’s told us she’s been an apartment manager for last 20 years. It seems like she us numb to caring about these problems. She made no attempts to make it right. She wouldn’t even come to the apartment to investigate. She knows the truth and is trying to avoid & deny what’s going on. We tried the entire to be courteous and professional. Even with what’s going on we feel sorry for her. How can you come to work each day treating people like this. I’m just glad we took several pictures and video of the unit prior to moving in. Apparently they are so short staff. They only have 1 cleaner for 390 unit so apartment’s go uncleaned for new tenants & with 1 maintenance Rep he’s a month out on work orders. Our water damage apartment will not be fixed for the next 30 day

I’m a current resident at The Penwell, and as a resident I can say that I’m really happy living here. The application and my moving process was so easy thanks to the staff in the office, Chasity the community manager was really nice and helpful, like everyone at the office. I love the fact that I have a 24/7 gym and valet trash. My apartment it’s beautiful plus I have everything that I need included. I made a great choice moving to the penwell.
