Bordering the university’s main campus, Baseline Sub is home to the University of Colorado Boulder East Campus. The university dominated the northeastern corner of the neighborhood, giving the area a youthful, park-like vibe. Staying true to Boulder culture of sustainability, Baseline Sub has several parks, bike corridors, and while trails that weave through the Boulder Flatirons are less than 15 minutes away. There are multiple large shopping plazas, restaurants, and breweries directly north of Baseline Sub, so residents have plenty of amenities close to home. For more variety, especially with nightlife and entertainment, many residents head to University Hill and Downtown Boulder, which are both about two miles away. Although Boulder is known to have upscale properties, there are more affordable options available as well. When searching for your next rental, you’ll find houses, apartments, condos, and townhomes.

Property Ratings at The Phoenix
This apartment complex is great for college student at the University of Colorado Boulder. The walk is so simple and easy, feels like I'm living right on campus. The apartment it self is very cozy, Living area, bedroom and open dean (great for an office or second roommate with curtains for privacy) have carpet. The bathroom, dining area and kitchen/hallway are all cheaply hard wooded. Downside, the hallway is a kitchen and vice versa. Sucks to walk through to the bedroom when someone is cooking or the fridge is open. Stove is old, creepy and extremely hot, it causes the smoke alarms to go off all the time. The walls are textured with an odd smooth bumpiness that doesn't allow anything to stick on to them. My towel hanger is constantly on the floor and none of my posters can stay up unless I use thumbtacks (which i don't want any more holes in the wall). Because of this feature, I'm unable to decorate my apartment, leaving it all bland, white and creepy. I try my best with creative inventions like bookshelves to hold up paintings. The windows are nice and big, great for a cat to look out at the world. Besides all the little nit picky things that bug me, I enjoy the apartment, for the price I pay for it. It's a place that I'll call home for a while during my college life.
The apartment is an awkward 1 bedroom Den. We have converted the "den", a little cubicle next to the kitchen, into a bedroom. There is no air conditioner, and the apartment becomes very stuffy very fast. Thankfully, it is in walking distance to the University of Colorado Boulder. From what I can tell, the apartment is a converted and renovated motel. The kitchen seemed to be an afterthought because the gas stove has many vents and heats up the apartment and sets off the alarms almost every time we cook. I dislike that there is no counter by the sink, and there isn't even a dishwasher. Therefore, counter space is very limited. The bedroom is fine; however, the closet is open and makes the room look messy. The nicest looking part of the apartment is the bathroom, but good luck getting hot water. For some reason, there is hardwood in the bathroom as well, when I would think there should be tile. But, it does look nice. On the plus side, the price does make up for the flaws, and the window sills are perfect for my cat, and the administration are very knowledgeable and professional. All in all, on a budget, I would recommend this apartment (and den).
I have two roommates with a dog and a cat, our apartment only has 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom. We do not have and AC or a reliable heater, so in the summer all of us live in an oven, it is especially hot and we feel extremely bad for our pets. What is worst, during the winter we don't get much hot water, if we are lucky we get "warm" water, and the summer the water is extremely HOT!!! I have always love to cook and bake, but my current kitchen is way too small, we don't even have enough room to place a dish rack. My roommates and I have purchased our own microwave which takes more than half of the counter space, so we don't have a kitchen counter. I am currently living in the living room since the 1 bedroom is way too small to fit 3 people, but privacy is always a big issue. I would really like some help to get myself, my friends, and our pets into a more comfortable living space and be able to enjoy our lives and not have to worry about finding the cheapest place to rent. Please help us find a better place for ourselves, and thank you so much for this opportunity.
