We all really hate it here and be suffering but they slick cheap. I use to live in the hood on the south side and lived better but came her thinking I moved up. Its hella worse!! Management dont do nun and be lying thru they teeth. Cant trust these folks frfr but if you desperate just make sure you keep up with all your papers.
I have been here for a month (May 1st - Today)!!! I was assigned to an apartment with a dirty filter, foul smell like mold or something and I became extremely sick. When I contacted multiple higher ups (Property manager, Regional manager, director or tech services, HVAC) It took them 2-3 weeks to even believe me even with all my videos and pictures until I came home to my apartment bathroom flooded , wires sparking , a pungent smell and smoke throughout the whole apartment to actually take me serious & find me another unit to move to. After 2-3 weeks of trying to make me stay during my sickness and hell I finally was assigned to move to a new unit. Just when I thought things were getting better and was somewhat accommodated for my first month inconvenience, I moved in this new unit to a drain line pipe from the AC above my bathroom shower leaking dirty cold full buckets of water. The dirty water is even leaking on me while I’m taking a shower!! I spoke with other residents who stated their apartments were not doing the same thing and in my first apartment I was assigned to had no leak. When speaking again with the regional manager and property manager on site about the leak they stated that it is suppose to do that and that there is no fix to it. Why would y’all not tell tenants that before moving in?? Can you imagine taking a hot shower or washing your hair and a pool of cold water drops on you from the ceiling?? Can you imagine hearing water NOT DRIP BUT continuously POUR in your bathroom 24/7 while you get ready for work, use the restroom, or even hearing it leak at all. Does that sound habitable or even a comfortable place to live?? I even had an HVAC contractor that I know personally come take a look and he stated the problem and that it can actually be fixed, so what are we doing? HVAC came today and stated that only SOME apartments leak but I am not the only one. SOMEE!!?? So what is in the other apartments that aren’t leaking that is different from mine?? And why can’t it be fixed?? And who cares if I am not the only one when it’s dirty pipe line water dripping 24/7 and while I’m showering?? Because I am so clean it is a major problem for me to have to clean my shower before I step in because there is dirty ceiling water all in my tub. This is a horrible experience.
If you go on there actual apartment website they screen they reviews so that it’s only good ones but they or horrible! I’ve been here for a week and moving in i had roaches! They do not car about you! Can’t get in touch with anyone in the office! Call or email! Maintenance won’t even come for the simple things
Terrible experience!!!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE! I have been staying here 2 months and have had issues since day 1. I was out of water for 2 days 2 weeks after moving in and the first night I couldn’t get in contact with anyone to let them know, not to mention I haven’t had AC since I moved in and it seems like they are not in any type of rush to get me any AC. I was also told they don’t give concessions so I couldn’t get any off my rent for any of my troubles.
Mailbox has been broken for almost the entire month and they refuse to give us a concrete answer as to when it will be fixed. Haven't received any mail since. Took them 3 months to fix maintenance issues from WHEN I MOVED in. Absolute joke of a complex
The Piedmonts management staff were very helpful with the apartment selection process as well as being attentive to any questions or needs I have. Management has been very friendly and a few of the maintenance staff have been as well. I feel comfortable and at home living here.
The community looks great both inside and out and i never had any complaints until this year. The new office staff are not great with communication when it comes to work orders. I understand that they are short staff but there would be no hesitation to remind me about a rent payment.. i need the same energy when it comes to the upkeep of the units.
Not the best place to stay, slow responses to any concerns. Never spray for bugs. Valet trash spills the trash, doesnt clean up after themselves. Very noisy community. Area not kept clean.
I rarely had any issues at first when we moved here but after management and new employees were hired, maintenance and management has gone down hill. Takes forever to get maintenance to resolve issues. When the office doesn't answer the phone, which is most of the time, the emergency maintenance number only allows you to leave a voicemail and they do not return your calls. We constantly have issues with our a/c either going out during the hottest months or it leaks in our bathroom. Walking around wet towels and emptying pots full of water is not fun. I shouldn't be uncomfortable to use my bathroom in my own apartment. They finally advised that I need a part replaced on the a/c unit and its been a month so far and still not repaired. I have to call to the office numerous times, explain my situation again and still no resolve. Their solution is to provide one window unit for a 2 bedroom apartment when I have a roommate which makes zero sense to either of us. I normally don't write bad reviews but I've honestly had enough. And in addition to that, the whole apartment complex has a water bug/roach issue which is disgusting and of course embarrassing when you have guests over. The only pro that I would have about this place is the space but thats about it.
Ok before i moved in i wasnt a fan of Valet Trash because I am capable of taking my own trash to the trash but the problem with that is i asked for a 1st floor apartment when i was asked if there were anything i wanted in specific. I advsed the guy i spoke to i have gout so i need a 1st floor apt. So Im on the 3rd floor and would have issue getting down the steps with a bag of garbage.. Now the reason im writing this post is because i just got and email about Valet Trash, mind you i have lived in these apts for over a yrs and had no problems, now there saying that you can't put trash bags on top of the garbage cans so that means that every thing you have to toss have to fit inside that tiny garbage can and i do mean tiny. Now before we where allowed to put larger bags on top of the valet can but now they will charge u $25 if you don't put your trash in the valet can. So that means if you have a few guess and you have extra trash you will be charged if you put a bag on top of the valet can... The bad part is you don't have the option to opp'd out of Valet and take your own trash to the garbage.. I don't think im going to renew when my lease is up again.. If i was on the bottom floor i wouldnt have really cared because i could walk out my door and to the garbage but i can't do that because im on the 3rd floor and i have real bad gout flare ups. I when i found out i was on 3rd floor it really wasnt a problem considering i had valet. If they want trash to stay inside the valet cans then they need to get larger cans..

My wife and I stumbled across the Piedmont Homes while in search of a new home from NYC. After having done a little bit of research, we decided that this was were would would like to begin our journey in Charlotte, NC. The Piedmont homes were convenient and close in proximity to everything we would need including my wife's job. The apartment DEFINITLY meet our requirements in size and in cost. In my brief experience living here; should you have a maintenance issue, you would place a work order via email, or just call the main office. The turn around time has been pretty good. The home is not super modern, but it does seem to be built well above standard, with quality materials. Lots of closet space and spacious rooms. I love the the layout of the three bedroom apartments (which we have), with the master suite located on the 3rd level and every other room on the 2nd level. The 1st level is the outer door and staircase. Sound doesn't travel that well in the apartment, and that's not a bad thing. We don't hear our neighbors unless they close their outer door or someone is on the balcony, but generally everything is pretty hush and quite. The Cons of living at the Piedmont homes and there are not many; would be Parking. You can find parking, just not right in front of your unit all of the time. So if you are doing shopping or trucking some large packages, there may be some concern with walking your goods. Garaged parking is on premises, but its not plentiful and they are also not often close to your unit. Lastly and not by any fault of Piedmont homes, often walking to our unit you may sometimes encounter residents driving a little bit fast through the complex roads. Not a serious concern for my wife and I. I would just be a little concerned for children that maybe playing, walking across parking lot, going to the pool area or just walking a dog. Otherwise, Piedmont Homes is great, has been great, and without any real complaints. We love it!!!

Experience at the piedmont has been very bad, a lot of noise upstairs, had a family above me with four are five kids plus husband and wife! Kids running from move to room a lot. My experience has been a nightmare only been here five months!

Don't move here unless you like the smell of pot in your apartment when you don't even smoke pot. Don't move here unless you like possibly having your mail stolen or boxes broken and not working. The office staff are awesome, but other than that, it's not that great. The trash service they use, you will have to take pictures with a time stamp just to prove that you put it out, tied it, and that it meets Valet Service requirements. They periodically do not pick up your trash as advertised and are now picking up the trash early, or sometimes just don't. Document everything when you deal with Valet Service. The Account manager will talk to you with disrespect and try to blame you as a resident of not following their guidelines.

I moved in about a week ago, and so far the Piedmont apartments have been a great place to live. The office staff is friendly and patient, the maintenance staff responded to a request by the next day, and generally everything seems well kept. So far, so good!

I have been here a month everything is been ok the parking could be better and I just had to kill a huge waterbug/ roach whatever you wanna call it need pest control to come spray immediately

I love it here so far!! Ive had no major issues as far as the apartment goes. For the price, the one bedroom is very spacious. Totally worth the money! The staff is also so friendly & willing to help with no problem. Communication is a huge thing when trying to lease & get information on the apartment and they did wonderful!

I love my apt but the only problem i have is the parking and the package delivery.. Im not use to having to park 2 or more building down because of no spaces in front of my building. I have had atleast 6 packages mishandled by the delivery carriers during the few months i've been here but other than that everything else is fine..

Poor management, alot of suspicious activity throughout the day, problem with the homeless people sleeping on the property, no response from the resource officer when he's needed.

The piedmont at ivy meadow has some amazing amenities. This complex was perfect for me, I get a nice spacious living area and bedroom, huge closet, up to date appliances, and the big factor was that every unit gets a washer and dryer and I don't habe the stress of buying one or renting.

Absolutely love it! just moved in about a month ago, very first apartment. wonderful neighborhood, peaceful i have no disturbance or anything making me uncomfortable here. very spacey, Worth it all most definitely! & the office, they are ALWAYS positive & ready to help me with anything i ever need since the beginning of my application process!

I have lived in this community almost 5 years now. Love the partial woody feel of the property. Gates were removed although broken most of the time was a feature I enjoyed having. New management have strategically removed some of the trees opening up the property. Still has a great feel! The roofing has been replaced and last year all buildings were repainted. Overall I am pleased with the outward appearance of the property.
My stay at The Piedmont at Ivy Meadow in the pass has been a pleasure. I have experienced a few changes in the pass year. But overall the Staff, Maintenance and the Services are excellent, Thank you !
