Property Ratings at The Piero
The pool will be under maintenance again for more than 12 days. It was last under maintenance about 3 weeks ago. There are three BBQ grills in building one, but only one next to the pool is working, and you have to wait for hours if you want to BBQ with friends. After reaching out to the Piero office, each time they say they will fix it within a week, but it has not been working for 3 months. I do not recommend this place if you want to enjoy the pool and BBQ.
I will certainly always recommend "Piero" as you are the best! It would be great if there were more lawns around our building instead of muddy ground. I often walk to “Visconti” and the grass situation is much better there.
I've lived here for two years and unfortunately the bad reviews are true. This is not luxury living. Resident services does not answer the phone or respond to emails, but perhaps they will get back here. Whether it be the pool or the gym closing down indefinitely and suddenly for long periods of time, or safety and cleanliness, they just don't seem to have the residents in mind. Packages get stolen because Security is only on one side of the property and often the stairwells stink of urine and are littered with drug paraphernalia. Don't even get me started on the extreme noise pollution and crime in this area. I was ok with all of this but the final straw is that they decided to remove our secure daytime guest parking which leaves only a couple of spaces to serve all 550 units! This is ridiculous to me and I will not be renewing my lease because of it. For what reason would would they want to make it even harder for our friends and loved ones to get together?
I have lived here for almost 3 years. This is not the place it used to be. The management keeps changing, the security keeps changing and no one seems to care. They have some details online and the reality is completely different. The elevators never work. The gym has been out of commission for more than a year, They hire new staff and few months into their job, they clearly don’t know what they are doing. The property manager is never at the office and never available to assist any residence once the lease is signed. They will false promise a lot of things
Horrible building, bad deal. Elevator was broken for SIX MONTHS. Cockroaches in many units.
Location is decent. That is all. And it does look alright from the outside. - Elevator was out for 6 months straight - Key fobs stopped working - Dirty atmosphere - Trash in the hallways - Trash shoot always clogged - Homeless all over - Rude staff - Infestations - Major construction. Shakes the apartment building
First I love my apartment. The washer and dryer (stacked) in unit, my included parking space and the location(close to everything). That being said the building sucks. The maintenance people here who fix things are horrible as is the management. A lot of the amenities are always broken and they are in no haste to fix the problems. The people who work here are lazy and rude. I always have problems with getting my packages. They need to hire more staff or staff who care about their jobs. They also have a lot of times throughout the year when they ask you to inconvenience yourself for so called repairs. I will be happy to leave because for the amount of rent the hassle with staff is very far from luxury.
I have been staying here almost 3 years, my overall experience with Piero is okay, but have couple unpleasant experiences. 1st, Location. I think Piero's location is the best among all complexes this company owns, especially the view from swimming pool. It's walking distance to most places in Downtown. This location saves me from parking headache; and also, not much traffic around. But recently, more and more homeless coming to occupy side walks. One path driving home is the 110 Wilshire exit, becoming a waste yard. 2nd, The staffs. This is the only part I am not happy with this site. The maintenace staffs are very nice, polite and genuine, and they try to fix things when needed. Some people from the office make me uncomfortable, I am not sure it's cultural difference or some people are just not nice. I feel like they are playing games or even arrogant sometime. From business perspective, being genuine is always the best strategy associate with people to me. But... 3rd, The neighbors. I think my next door neighbor is a college student, I can hear music at 3:00 am all the time. I can hear my upstair neighbor gets up, walks, runs, and sometime drops something. Mostly, I don't think my neighbors effect me, only a few times I smelled alcohol in hallway made me think some people need good manners. 4th, The management. Not perfect, but it's fair, I think it might be much better than average. 5th, The rent. It's kinda fair. The raise rate every year when you renew lease. I'm still waiting to know how much they would raise my rent. I don't feel they give much discount to old residents, it is almost the same as current rate, which I'm not that happy. Overall, I feel safe here. it's clean most time, maintenance response quickly, most people work here are friendly.
I really love the property & the apartment. It is very safe, and well-maintained. I've been living here for over two years, and I don't want to move out.
I love my apartment because it's very nicely designed and all unit comes with laundry washer and dryer. Apartment is located a block away from major freeway so it's very easy to travel to all locations. Apartment also includes a banquet room for resident, library, computer room, exercise room and pool with great downtown LA city view. The 24 hour security always walk around the apartment to keep everyone safe and 24 hour maintenance is also available incase of any malfunction. I have lived here since 2009 after my house went foreclosure and I love it and plan to live longer here.
