Property Ratings at The Pines at Carolina Place
I am so glad that I took those old reviews w a grain of salt and called the pines at carolina place. the new staff is amazing! this group actually cares and it shows!! I’ve been a resident since March 2020 and hear horror story’s about what’s happened before w the only management company but also heard how much of an improvement it’s been this year. check it out yourself.
I moved to the property a few weeks ago and I have been pleased. Management has gone above and beyond to accommodate my family and I. The 2 bedroom apartment that we are renting is nice and spacious. The appliances are a little outdated but for the price it’s definitely reasonable. I would totally recommend this community!
I should’ve looked at the review before moving here. There’s roach infestation, nasty neighbors, the landscaping is neglected, dumpsters always overloaded, no bug control inside or outside, random employees constantly. The pool area doesn’t look appealing, the clubhouse is apart of their office now, the gym looks run down and outdated. The community is embarrassing. You can’t even invite guest over because it’s not inviting
Where do I start first been here for going on 3 years had 5 mangers 3 set of office employees. N 8 maintenance teams .... the pool hasn't been open for a whole year since I been here ... the lights on the building is out it's so dark u can't see u hands .. the law care is horrible it patches of grass the pictures they put the website are fake .. the workout room is a treadmill and yoga mats ... dont get cool moving here I WARN YOU
TERRIBLE place to live they change staff every month they put the wrong rental amounts in the Ledger they add rent to Residents accounts late so they can charge them a late fee even when the tenants have paid their rent on time these pictures that you see on this website or fake the pool has been shut down for years this is not the same workout gym in the pictures they don't have a computer for use for the residence anymore 95% of these pictures are fake run away from this property it's a terrible place to live
Ever since ownership changed the place is getting worse by the minute. Supposed maintenance crew and office personnel change constantly. Had multiple issues in my apartment that i put in work orders in so that maintenance would come to fix but after 6-7 months and multiple attempts to no avail. I eventually just fixed them myself to which i wasn't even reimbursed for the parts i had to buy. The pool was one of the things i was really looking forward to because my 2yr old daughter loves to swim. It was open a total of maybe ten days this past summer, and when it was you were bombarded by 20 or more teenagers (half of which didn't even live here) running and jumping all over the place. They raise the rent every year boasting these amenities that you barely get to use. Not to mention the first photo you see above is a pool that's not even ours
Move in at your own risk. There have been more management and maintenance changes than I can count on one hand. Current management has poor communication and customer service skills. I have had an ongoing maintenance issue since April, it still has not been fixed, when I told the property manager herself she ignored me like I wasn’t even speaking to her. If you do move in I would suggest brining your own appliances as I do not have properly working appliances in my unit, which is costing me greatly in food expenses. Also, the upstairs apartment continues to have water leaks which means I have water damage in my apartment, not once have they ever addressed the issue or the damages to my apartment with me. But I am sure they will try to make me pay for the damages. They raise the rent each year. The updates to the property were a new swing set and a metal fence around the front of the property. The pool may have been opened for a total of 20 days, this summer. There is no clubhouse available to tenants and the business center is only available when the office is open. The fitness center is definitely not state of the art as it has some medicine balls, one treadmill, one elliptical, and one stationary bike. 24-hour maintenance is when they decide to come, which means once the office is open they may appear no matter what the emergency is. I have never lived in a place where they put eviction notices on your door, and it was their mistake with the paperwork, or put a notice saying you owe thousands of dollars, when you have paid your rent every month, when the problem was they switched over their computer systems and payments did not transfer. Then management gets angry with tenants because they are upset with them. Proper communication would have been a letter to the tenants stating due to a computer system change they needed to update information by this date or you may be responsible for xxx amount of dollars. Proper customer service would have been to say we need you to sign your lease or you will need to vacate the premises by this date. When the tenant took off work again because they were told by the manager the lease was not signed and got to the office to see a signed leased in their file the proper thing the manager should have done was apologize,.
I have been residing here for close to a year and there are major maintenance issues that was promised to be fixed that I am still waiting to be fixed, I also placed a work order 3 weeks ago and called about 3 separate times for them to tell me there is no work order on file. They have to do better not to mention one of the amenities is the pool which was closed for more than half of the summer and the equipment in the gym is all broken so there is really no need to advertise or make the rent higher for these amenities especially if they are of no value to us tenants. Needless to say I am currently looking for a new place to call home. MOVE IN AT YOUR OWN RISK.
