Property Ratings at The Pines at SoBro
I see a lot of bad reviews but my experience has been basically positive. Of course things happen where ever you live but Maintenance does respond. I've been here for just about two years and I will be happy to sign another lease for the third year. I adore the location and I feel very safe here. I lived previously on Ralston ave in a house and did not feel safe . There is only one entrance and exit into the complex that cuts down on random people driving into the complex. The back entrance has always been closed up. There is a security guard that drives around the complex in the evening. For me feeling safe is a priority. The location is amazing as far as I'm concerned..the Monon trail is just about a block away. There are several restaurants in short walking distance. There are a few bars and beer hall walking distance and a very cozy coffee place with a plenty of space to sit and study. Fresh market is a few blocks away and Fresh Thyme is down the road. My doctor at St.Vincents is in Broad ripple on the Monon trail so it's a easy bike ride to my doctors. I could go on and on with the convience of the location.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so glad to have you here at Pangea Groves and it's great to hear you're enjoying your time here as well. We also love the location and want to do our part to keep our residents feeling safe and secure. Please don't hesitate to contact us if there's ever anything we can help you with in the future.
This is my fourth year of leasing with Pangea Grove and I would like to inform you about my wonderful experience. I've had no issues and if I need something maintenance is always willing to help. I'm very happy with the area as well. So much is near by and neighbors are friendly. The staff is great; Jay, Johan are very kind. I hope to stay here for years to come. Thanks a lot Pangea Grove!!!

At least three. Now we are going to be without water for over 24 hours. They are working "dilligently" yet all of the work vehicles are gone and NO water. AVOID this place like the plague. I regret ever moving here.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we are so sorry you had to deal with that. Unfortunately, we had a main water line break that took us about 24 hours to completely fix. We were able to fix a portion of it that day, but when we turned the water back on we found there was another leak and we had to call in some experts. As much as we would love to, there's no way to fully prepare for issues like waterline breaks, but we do our best to respond to and repair issues like this as quickly as possible. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this (or other issues you may have) in more detail please feel free to contact us at your convenience.
The walls and ceilings are incredibly thin. I can hear literally everything my upstairs neighbors do. EVERYTHING. Parking can be an issue especially on the weekends. I've had times where there wasn't a single place to park on my road. Although that problem seems to be getting a little better. I've gotten several phone calls and notes from the office about my blinds being torn up and if I don't replace them I'll be charged until I do. They aren't torn up. I've even gone into the office with pictures. Now they're calling because I had a blanket in my window. ???? I understand that they're trying to make the place look professional and nice, but it feels more like harrassment than anything. But hey, the leak in my bathroom where water was pouring in from my upstairs neighbor's apartment into mine got fixed pretty quickly. So at least the maintenance crew is on top of things. The neighborhood itself is fairly safe and I do enjoy the location. And the rent is pretty cheap. ??????????
We have been living here for almost 3 years. On our 2nd lease. The staff here now is much better than when we moved in and is clearly trying to clean up the apartments. That being said, as people move out, they are renovating/fixing certain issues that aren't dealt with while you're living there. Our rent has gone up $50-80 every year we've lived there. The apartments are very plain (but we're OK with that) and parking for residents is easily accessible: parking for guests is awful and the towing company is here ALL THE TIME. Walls are super thin, so you hear everything. And every building REEKS like weed. We know people in other buildings and we know they have the same problem we do with the scent of skunk weed all over your cloth belongings because it's in everything. But, the complex doesn't care. The mail sometimes stops coming, though not the landlord's fault. The pool is always overrun by very rude middle-aged women who believe you don't belong there. The gym is literally falling apart. But it is one of the cheaper places to live in the area and is trying to improve their image to their residents...we're just REALLY UNLUCKY to be one of the old residents they might be trying to get rid of to renovate to a more expensive apartment.
NOT SAFE!!! Not a single good thing about the complex. The pool was closed for health violations. There have been gun shots fired around my vehicle-over 30 shells found. Vehicle broken into multiple times. The new manager is ridiculously rude. The new manager refused to fix my AC for over a month during the summer. Still charged full rent even with no AC.......and just recently some vehicle's were set on fire during the night. If I had time I would stand in front of the leasing office and warn everyone that considers moving in. Your vehicle/belongings/family are not safe in this "Student Friendly" trash of an apartment complex.
We moved here 2 plus yrs ago. On our third lease. We are 4 in a three bed my brother son daughter and I. No patio and four small windows. We need a safer place out of the big city. My daughter has been bullied and beat on by other kids here. We are on ss. We just wish this place was nicer. Maintenance is horrible and we are paying 824 a month. My dog doesn't even want to go outside here. They are trying to get better have new manager but still is a dump.
First off, maintenance is very responsive. I usually have same day service if I ever have an issue. The location is great, being right on the Monon and a half hour walk into Broad Ripple. It's always clean on the complex and I haven't had any issues with loud or disruptive neighbors. The apartments are spacious, though the kitchens are small. However, the side dining room makes up for that and I love having a balcony! Over all,a great place to live and great community!
Pangea Groves is a very calm apartment complex. Hardly any noise at night unlike some other apartments & everyone is very friendly! A great place to live.
The complex has been recently renovated, but the quality of the renovations suck. For those of you interested in appearance, it's probably not the place for you. Ugly brown carpet and tacky white cabinets. I was in a double with 1 and a half baths. It was great before my neighbors moved in above me. It's a couple and a child and large dog. The mom doesn't work, she just walks around all day with her cloven hooves. The child runs through the apartment and screams all day. I know this because I can hear literally everything that goes on above me through the thin roof. The neighborhood seems safe and is very diverse. All ages, races, and backgrounds seem to make it up. The pool is terrible and overridden with welfare mom's and their 5 kids a piece 7 days a week. It's definitely not a bad starter apartment, but for just a little more you can do a lot better in a better neighborhood. I do however love the gym. Pros: gym, somewhat private, safe, cheap, good service response time and maintenance cons: cheap renovations, tiny pool, loud neighbors and then walls, small rooms
