Property Ratings at The Place at El Prado
Floors sink in. Cabinets rot off. Hoodlums trying to break in. People always go through unlocked cars. I've had car parts stolen. And to top it off the new management is a group of heartless people that have no remorse for personal issues and zero leniency. Bring the old company with hearts back. At least they cared about the residents.

The apartment complex where my family and I reside has been the most wonderful out of every other place we have lived. It has everything that we have needed ever since the first day we moved in. The staff are helpful and very welcoming, the grounds are clean, location is perfect, all the remodeling has made the place even more ideal for anyone looking for an apartment, and it is wonderful having a washer and dryer within the apartment. This is a place that I will recommend to others that I know and don't know.
have not moved in yet, but I am completely impressed. the apartments are kept clean every time we visit and the location is amazing . right by the school and downtown .
The management team is very friendly and helpful. The apartments are nice sized. My only problem with the complex is there is cockroachs. It's been an ongoing problem, and the police are here frequently. Overall not a bad place and tons of families with children and a school down the road.
We signed a new lease February 28th, 2015. A couple months later the office called and said there was a mistake with the lease we signed. They said not to worry and just come to the office and sign a new one. We went to the office and they said they made a mistake with the year on the lease. They want us to resign and also raise our rent in the process. We told them no because it was their mistake and we signed for the amount that was originally agreed to in our lease we signed in February, 2015. Ever since this happened we have been hounded by them for something that was their mistake. In fact, the only thing wrong with the lease is the year(s). They have it as 2014-2015 instead of 2015-2016. Three months go by with no problem and all of a sudden they want us to sign a new lease but also raise our rent which I believe is not only unethical but illegal.It's Very demoralizing and makes my faith in people/ management suspect in all other regards. The property has recently been purchased and gone through some renovations. It has potential to be better. The office & maintenance staff are really slow. They lose work orders even when submitted online through their resident portal. Gym & mail room are not open 24 hours. Sometimes I can't even check my mail all week. My lease is up at the end of August and I could not be happier.
The apartment was completely ready for us to move into and overt the past few months we have watched the property change with new landscaping and updated buildings. All my friends come to visit us here because of our pool and extensive business center. One time I was locked out of my apartment and it was 110 out and the office staff have me a ride back to my apartment to make sure I didn't have to walk in the heat and they offered ice cold water to me.
