Downtown Kent serves as the city's vibrant commercial core, boasting an array of diverse markets, restaurants, shops, and cafes in a walkable locale. The heart of downtown is notable for its historic character. However, the neighborhood offers a distinctly modern edge at its sprawling retail center, Kent Station.
Just north of Kent Station is the accesso ShoWare Center, the popular arena home to the Seattle Thunderbirds and the site of various large-scale concerts performed by touring acts. Rentals in Downtown Kent are both convenient and diverse, including modern apartments near Kent Station and charming houses closer to the historic downtown core. There are rentals to suit any taste in Downtown Kent, and they’re all walkable to the neighborhood’s many dynamic offerings.

Property Ratings at The Platform
I was so excited to move into these apartments. Lately, parking has been a major issue. There are not enough spots for everyone. Instead of communicating this via email, letter, anything really, people have been finding parking where they can and many of us have been towed as a result to the tune of $500. Super disrespectful to not take our information and let us park out front while we wait patiently for a parking spot to come up, instead we have to cross the street, across a super busy road, and hope we're not towed there too. Or have our car broken into. Instead, we get to wake up, freak out because we hoped our car was safe in front of the building, but nope, our own management towed us. Love paying for being treated like this. Super classy Platform.

Worst place I've ever lived. We had so many issues and the only people that were helpful were nicole (no longer working there) and one of the maintenance people, who was also my neighbor for a bit. I was paying for parking within the garage then six months later they told me I couldn't park there 9am-5pm because of the optic gallery opening up, two weeks before I had knee surgery. The "dog park" was disgusting when I lived there, they may have improved it since but I never wanted to let my dog in there. Walking your dog around the neighborhood is almost dangerous with so many questionable people with being right next to the transit center. If there's a parade or any big event, you better not have any plans to leave or leave before anything happens since the gates to get out of the garage will be blocked. Also towards the end of living there, a new couple moved in next door and their puppy would not stop barking from 5am to whenever they got home, and I mean it was constant, waking us up and would not stop barking. I called the office and the only thing they said was "well it is just a puppy" then move out day finally came and we ran out of there. This place was also extremely overpriced for the size and location, I found a much nicer place for much cheaper as well as more spacious (also with extra storage which you will not find here). I no longer live in the area so those places may have changed a bit, but they were just as nice. There's usually always something wrong with apartments I found, but this place was beyond terrible, with way too many issues.

This place screams awesome. It has a very modem conventional look and feel. With oversized windows the natural lighting is spectacular. It has spacious floor plans and a secure parking garage. It's close to everything but feels secluded. If you ever need an apartment that doesn't feel like an apartment, this is the place for you.
So - The Platform in a nutshell - convenience to a lot of things: - 5 minute walk to the Kent Station Sounder transit station, bus transit station. -3-5 minute walk to a Kent Station Mall (restaurants choices, stores, movie theater) -across the street from Green River Community College -5 minute drive to Safeway -10 minute drive to Target -15 minute drive to Trader Joes -100 feet from a farmer's market during the summer OMG - what else can a person ask for. Oh yeah!!! Good Apartment - brand new and modern...everything works!!!
I absolutely love this apartment building. The unit I live in is an open one bedroom. It's just a few feet shy of 600 ft. Doesn't sound like much space but I have 10 ft tall ceilings and an amazing floor to ceiling window. The amenities are awesome, yoga room, fitness room, rooftop lounge and outdoor rooftop place to hang out. It's a really secure building and I always felt safe. Management is awesome, too. My only complaint is that it isn't located in Seattle!
