Like the name implies, this district is home to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Although this neighborhood is a clear choice for students, faculty, and staff, the University District offers allure far beyond the campus. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping options. Boulevard Mall offers over 100 stores selling everything from candles to shoes to candy. There is also an abundance of entertainment available within or near the community.
University District is home to several quirky museums including the Pinball Hall of Fame. SeaQuest Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention Center are also housed in the district. On top of stellar amenities and fun-filled activities, University District is in a prime location. The McCarran International Airport is four minutes from campus and the world-famous Las Vegas Strip is only seven minutes away.

Property Ratings at The Point at Flamingo
Llevo viviendo aqui 5 años y me parece muy seguro y estan lindos los apartamentos
First I want to say that they do not care about the tenants at all!!! They never answer the phone then when you go into the office the lady is just sitting at the desk doing nothing. The plumbing is bad and makes your unit smell really bad and it is roach infested. Also, the ambulance and fire department are there atleast 2 a week and I’m still trying to figure out why.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We strive to provide our residents with stellar customer service, so we’re disappointed to hear that we’ve fallen short of that with you. Please contact our office directly so that we may provide you with help. We hope to work with you to improve your overall experience.
This complex has proven on multiple occasions that they do not care about resident needs. The amenities are only open when the office is open AKA when everyone is at work. The washers and dryers in the complex do not work but will take your money and there is a large roach problem. Their front gate is notorious for not working, leading to people getting locked out and having nowhere to park. Due to this multiple people will leave their cars out front since there is nowhere else to put them. When this happens they tow your car in the morning with no remorse and take no fault leading to residents once again having to pay for the managements mistakes. They do not care about their residents in the slightest and look for anyway they can get more money out of you.
Horrible apartment, always flooded , neighbor waste goes to our bath room , very old , and very expensive lots of hidden bills , package delivery stolen , neighbor stealing, homeless in and out , homeless swimming in the swimming pool because the gate not secure never fix it , homeless always in garbage taking something , very scary place

We have lived here for 2 years while they have been transitioning under new management and they are awful. I gave 30 days notice and they are trying to charge me another full month rent. No one returns calls or emails, through the portal or otherwise and when since we moved in, the all-utilities-included has been split out, the pool is just finally open, the gates to parking frequently malfunction, my $1000 bike was stolen on property and there are no cameras in the parking lot, roaches in the apartment. Calling this "luxury" is an absolute lie. Putting chrome appliances in the kitchen and replacing the flooring is like putting lipstick on a pig and calling it a make-over.
We moved into our apartment here 2.5 months ago and they still have not fixed our AC. Every week they’ve told us it would be fixed by the end of the week and obviously it gets pushed back every time (for OVER 2 SUMMER MONTHS). We also had sewage leak through our vents and the extremely rude property manager refused to do anything about it because we “have 2 bathrooms so just use the other one”.
If this had zero stars that would be what I give this place. I’ve lived here for five weeks. Maintenance has had to come to apartment five times. They very rarely actually fix what’s wrong. My toilet was very wobbly on one side. I reported it to the office. They sent maintenance out. Maintenance completed the work order. When I sat down on the toilet I almost blew my knee out because the toilet wasn’t fat not fixed. My dishwasher doesn’t work, it’s loud And maintenance just chalked it up to me needing a new dishwasher and told me that when they get to it they’ll get to it. There’s trash everywhere outside in the courtyard out in front of my door all the time there’s garbage all over the place all of the time. Where are the dumpsters are is absolutely an atrocity. The trash with out on the sidewalk on the pavement and not in the dumpsters. I’ve killed six roaches in the last two days. The washers and dryer’s never work here. When I told the office about the washers and dryer’s along with everything else Sylvia told me that there’s numbers on the side of the washers and dryer’s that I could call and have them fix. When I told her that they are on this property and it’s not my responsibility to have the maintenance she’s an informed me that she was going to end the call. I have lived in a lot of places in my life. This is the worst one I’ve lived in. I lived in the hood of California in LA. With homeless drug attic’s everything. There was still more pride taken in those apartment than this place. This place is filthy and unsanitary. They also neglected to tell me a couple of things before I sign my lease. They only told me after I signed my lease when I was already stuck into it. If you don’t live here don’t live here now. The price is not worth it there was a lot nicer apartments for the same price or less.
It’s been 2 months since I signed my lease and I am extremely happy to call The Point on Flamingo my Home! It is under new management, grounds are well kept, any issues gets taken care of within the same day! Maintenance and Office staff are the very best, location is so convenient, the apartment features roommate style is all I’be ever wanted! I’ll definitely recommend you this place!!
1. When I signed my lease, it was originally being advertised as "student housing" and it was necessary to be a student at UNLV to be a resident. It was posted on their website, signs, and lease contracts. It was then opened up to the community without warning which I found out after an incident with another resident. Though it is not always an issue, it has lead to a few instances where I can't tell if certain people live here and should be accessing certain utilities offered or are trespassing. If you are going to advertise "Student Living" it should be exclusive student living or at least communicate the change as some parents and students may be uncomfortable with the arrangement. 2. Communication can be poor as there have been multiple break ins (at least 2 that I personally have walked up on while the cops were still investigating) and there is no notice given to the community to take extra precautions to secure our belongings or for general safety purposes at all. General communication on other matters can be lacking at times too. I have not had an experience where I texted or called an RA and heard back in less than an hour and a half. 3. Speaking of security, we used to have guards that walked the premises at night which was appreciated. However, due to costs they were let go and we were told a gate would be erected that you would need a code to access or a key card if you are coming in by car. Now the side gates are stuck open as they will not close and the car gates remain open 24/7 which does not provide much peace of mind given my 2nd concern. 4. Work orders can move slowly unless you press often. I had my roof cave in slightly due to a water leak (pictures below) three fours above and it took a little over a week to get it completely fixed. This was a concern since I had to sign a waiver for asbestos but the water that was running in the walls of the building was falling right onto my "Vanity" area/sink and there seemed like there was little urgency to fix the problem. I had to repeatedly ask the front about the progress as it fell between the cracks multiple times due to miscommunications on their team. It falls short of the "luxury living" standard that is currently being promoted. All in all, if you like proximity, then this is an option. However, there are various concerns with living here currently and I would advise you not to expect the luxury living advertised should you choose to live here.
This was hands down the WORST place I have ever lived. Management is super nice at first, and then once you pay them and move in, they become the rudest most unhelpful people ever. They turned off the elevators, so have fun climbing the stairs for this 3 story building. The water is off almost every week (with little to no warning) during the time when people need to be getting ready for work, so have fun going to work without showering or brushing your teeth :). They say they are renovating the place, but everything they are doing is completely cosmetic, so the original foundation issues are still there. The windows and doors are NOT sealed, so we constantly had bugs coming in trying to escape the heat. Construction workers are constantly blasting loud music at 6 and 7am, so if you like not sleeping, this place is for you. I was so dissappointted after moving in there, and am so glad to finally be out. Please DO NOT MOVE HERE. It will be the worst decision you have ever made.
I moved here about three months ago, the AC broke twice in this time period. Each time it broke it took them about at least a week to really fix it make the AC work again. I would call multiple times a day to file complaints, during office hours and after, they said maintenance was working on it, but nothing. I have trouble going to sleep and wake up sweating because the room temperature reached all the way up to 90 degrees in Vegas summer. Don't get me wrong, the maintenance people are super nice, but I am not having the way the management is dealing with this. When I call after office hours to the Resident Assistants, the answers they only give me are generic, saying what they are "supposed" to say and not helping me at all. This has got to be a joke.
I just moved in and the management is awesome! They have so many great ideas for the place. My apartments is really nice and brand new. The outside is still being fixed up but they said they have a lot of great things planned. Michael is the best and Sommer will help you with whatever you need, plus she is a smokeshow!
I love the new apartments they are doing here. The kitchens are amazing. I like that I have my own suite the best and they are improvign the outside too.
I live in a pretty nice apartment my rent is 745 a month. Its a two bedroom two bath roommate style. Its me my husband and our three children.
