Yes, it's called Capitol Hill -- but it isn't the capitol and there's no capitol building. So how did this Seattle neighborhood get its name? Back around 1900, a real estate developer renamed the burgeoning community from "Broadway Hill" to "Capitol Hill" because he wanted the capitol to be moved from Olympia to Seattle. That never happened, and the quirky neighborhood kept its new quirky name. Capitol Hill is the neighborhood for those who love nightlife. As Seattle's premier place to party, Capitol Hill is home to coffee houses, taverns, bars, nightclubs, and theaters.
Home to artists and musicians, Capitol Hill features a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, and it is home to the Capitol Hill Arts District. College students also find their way to the Hill, which is home to Seattle Central College and is just south of the University of Washington.

Property Ratings at The Point
Look no further. We loved our 4-years at The Point and would give a 6th star if we could. The property manager and owner are incredibly nice people who have cultivated an amazing community and take such great care of their tenants. They responded quickly and kindly to any and all requests and were so thoughtful in assisting us with move-in and move-out. The units are modern, spacious, and have great lighting. The rooftop is a great vibe and arguably the best view in all of Seattle - we enjoyed countless days up there over the years. The location is prime because you're so close to the Pike/Pine downtown of Capitol Hill, but you're tucked away enough that it's usually quieter and with less commotion. Yes, there is some homelessness in the surrounding area, but I never felt unsafe at or around the building in my time there.
I lived at the Point apartments for a year and had to leave because I was moving out of the state but it was the best building, great location, great space, excellent units, and the most understanding and flexible landlords you could ask for. This apartment is fantastic - wish I could move back to Seattle and live here for another year.
We chose The Point three primary reasons: excellent kitchens with gas ranges and ice & water makers in the fridge, the quality of the construction (built in 2019), and the location. Units are large with higher than average ceilings and lots of natural light as well.
Condo level finishes throughout. A/C in all bedrooms and living rooms was a huge plus and hard to find in Seattle. Only 36 units in the building so felt more like a community than other larger buildings I've lived in. Management is great and always looking out for the tenants and ways to help. Building is also only a year old.
