Neptune Township rests along the Atlantic Ocean. A known beach town in New Jersey, Neptune finds itself close to great attractions including Stone Pony at Asbury Park, which is a music venue that’s been around for decades.
Neptune Township is a hot tourism spot in the spring and summer months. Folks move here because of its low living cost and beach accessibility. Access to major roadways are a real treat for residents and visitors.
Taking the train to Manhattan or Philly will take about three hours one-way, affording travelers a relaxing trip to either destination. Neptune is a great suburban area with good schools for younger kids, and several vocational schools for older ones.

Property Ratings at The Pointe at Neptune
I truly enjoyed my visit there to this site. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with all of my questions, especially Kelsey! I look forward to making this place my future home!
Beautiful property and Amazing Staff. Love living here.
We enjoyed our time here. The maintenance staff was great. The problem is Edgewood Properties. We treated the place well, but before move-out it became clear that they were going to nickel and dime us on the security deposit. Which they did, despite us cleaning the place top to bottom, removing all furniture, and spackling over nail holes. Notable jumps in rent each year. Live here if you want a good community and a nice place. But don't expect to be treated fairly on your way out.
The corporate level of the community is what makes a decent living space absolutely unbearable. They have no desire to make their tenants happy. They are rude, hostile, and cut throat. You will get charged thousands of dollars upon move out regardless of how clean your apartment is. If you do decide to move here take pictures of your entire apartment. They will try to blame damages from past residents that maintenance didn’t fix on you and charge you for it. The parking lot is a disaster. They do not have enough spots for residents and ticket and threaten to tow RESIDENTS that are parked by the curbs. They expect their residents who pay to live there with parking included to park across from the complex if there aren’t any spots. The front office ladies are always very polite but none of them have stuck around. Four people left within the one year I was there. Clearly their own staff are tired of hearing about how awful corporate runs things. I have been working on having a discussion regarding my post move out charges and they will not respond to me but keep sending me emails saying I need to pay. Absolutely rude and horrible corporate structure. Do not move here!!
I was not allowed to see the unit prior to signing the lease. New carpet installation delayed my move in by 4 hours on moving day. When I got into the unit, there were ketchup packets and open water bottles in the kitchen, stains on the oven, and urine on the toilet seat. The grout in the bathroom floor tile was also crumbling and it took 4-6 weeks and multiple maintenance requests to have it repaired. The apartment was in better condition when I vacated than when I arrived. I was told that I could clean the carpets at move out and provide proof, and I would not be charged for carpet cleaning. I lived in two different units and performed the same carpet cleaning for both. I was not charged for the apartment that had a cat living it in it, but did get charged almost $150 for carpet cleaning from the second unit that had no pets. The carpet was immaculate and I was charged. Apartment companies have certain costs of doing business and have an obligation to clean units between tenants, a cost which should not be placed on a previous tenant if there is no damage to the unit. I was also charged $50 for oven cleaning for the stains that were present when I moved in. I escalated a dispute of the charges over 7 weeks and many phone calls all the way to the Senior VP of Residential Operations. She opened our phone conversation with “I normally don’t make phone calls like this because I don’t have time.” I was told a video of the apartment damages is made after move out and is reviewed by corporate. I asked to see the video, but the Senior VP responded that it is internal data and can’t be sent out, but I am welcome to view the video in the leasing office (a 40 min drive each way). I asked why I would go out of my way if I am not getting reimbursed anyway, to which she had no response. I then asked if the move out video from the previous tenant could be reviewed to compare the condition of the oven, to which she said that would not accomplish anything. The phone call was contentious, unprofessional, condescending, and unproductive. All I am left with now is the choice to leave an honest review of my experience; how I was taken advantage of and robbed of my money. There have been 4-5 different community managers in the 3 years I lived in that apartment complex, which speaks for itself about employee retention, satisfaction, and morale. I too could not work for a company with such poor customer service and corrupt, immoral business practices.
Having recently downsized from a home, I took my time to research apartments, eventually settling on the Pointe's spacious apartments and serene environment. I was also thoroughly impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the welcome I received by my new neighbors. Upon moving in, I had a minor repair and I can attest that the maintenance crew were equally as respectful and caring but more importantly prompt. There was a parking change to improve parking but very soon after implementation, a survey was conducted and the plan tweaked to accommodate the concerns of the residents. To me, that's the mark of an efficiently run business. Then just recently, I found a note at my door from the President of the properties with information to assist any residents affected by the government shutdown. As a relatively new resident of the Pointe, I was already pleased with my decision to move in. I fell in love with the serene and welcoming property and my beautiful, spacious home. His letter has made me even more proud to be a resident. I look forward to many more years at the Pointe.
I would give this review 0 starts I could. DO NOT RENT HERE or ANY OTHER EDGEWOOD PROPERTY!! To clarify: my problem is with corporate, not with the leasing agents at the Pointe. They have done nothing but try to make our time here happy despite continually being blindsided by corporate and forced to work twice as hard to keep residents. Edgewood Properies does nothing but implement impractical policies. Then, when you inquire about said policies and ask valid questions that expose serious flaws in said policies, they tell you to "get out of their office" because they have no answer for you. Since I moved into the Pointe in June, I have experienced nothing but aggravation every time I open my email to yet another ridiculous message from them; Most of it stemming from their parking policy. When we moved here there was no parking policy in place. You could park in any spot in the lot for free without a permit and if you wanted a guaranteed spot, you could purchase a garage for an additional monthly fee. There were no problems parking and I NEVER ONCE came home and couldn't find a spot to park my car in, although sometimes I had to park a little further from my building. But then, a select few residents complained and whined that there wasn't a spot "close to their building" and so the aggravation and ridiculously unthought-out parking emails commenced. Instead of management telling the select few complainers to suck it up and either walk a little or pay extra for a guaranteed spot/garage closer to their building, they decided to implement the most irrational parking regulations that have caused nothing but chaos. Then, as no surprise to us, but apparently an "unprecedented" side effect of the policy to Edgewood properties - even though I TOLD THEM this would happen - their parking plan was a nightmare for everyone except people like me who had the forethought to get a garage. People were parked everywhere - in front of buildings, on labeled no parking areas", etc. and despite several threatening notices of towing... not one car got ticketed or towed. Now, instead of owning up to the fact that their parking plan was an epic fail and reverting things back to how they were before this disaster, in typical pointe fashion, we received yet another ridiculous email stating because I PAY TO RENT a garage, they are taking away my FREE parking space that is supposed to "come with every unit". Please, do not waste your time.
Absolutely terrible! Overly aggressive and scare tactics from management. Constant threats that they will tow your car and throw your belongings out because of their terrible parking setup and lack of organization with the storage units. When we got our storage unit, they had assigned us a spot but they had no idea that it was actually taken. The hallways are absolutely horrid, filled with dead bugs and dirt, and the walls are filthy. There was an obscenity written on our wall and it took several calls for someone in the office to even come out and take a look. We are embarrassed to have company over because of this. There's still a sad smiley face there...and it's been on the wall about 3 months. Both our washer and dryer have broken (we've only been here since June), clogs in the sinks and bathtubs, and the doors on our cabinets consistently come loose. The one in our kitchen is hanging by a thread. It is very disappointing because we originally had fallen in love with this place. Unfortunately, we are already looking to move and our lease isn't up for another 6 months. Would give zero stars if I could.
The other reviewer is absolutely correct!! They don’t pay their bills with their contractors on time for some odd reason, because lord knows they hike your rent up every single year, so I’m not exactly sure what they are doing with all that rent money. Garbage collection overflowing each and every week, pool gets closed on the hottest days of the year, they go through grounds keeping companies like water, cleaning crew has completely disappeared, parking is horrific. They have this place sold at capacity but NOT ENOUGH PARKING for the residents that actually live here, never mind having guests over...they will have NO place to park. Management is terrible, complain all you want to -the CORPORATION that owns this property could care less if you are in happy here or not! They will have new renters in before the old ones are even gone. DO YOURSELF A HUGE FAVOR AND RENT ELSEWHERE!!
3 reviews 8/17/2017 I am so completely devastated and in tears right now . I resided at the Pointe in Neptune for 3 years with my disabled son . I kept my apt in immaculate condition. I had a flood in my apt at one point because my hot water heater in the closet on the terrace broke and the water was up to my ankles and completely damaged the living room carpet. I invested $1500 to upgrade to a linoleum floor instead of them cleaning the existing carpet. I also invested in a $450 garage door opener to make life easier to transport my son in and out of my car in the winter and rain. Obviously, I couldn't take these things with me when i recently moved. They were my choices to upgrade and make life easier during my 3 year stay. With this said, I not only left an apartment in prestine condition , but I left an apartment and garage with upgrades that they are probably charging more rent for now. The reason I am so upset today is I just received my security deposit back. I was expecting over $2,000 in return. I was told by the inspector that my apartment was left in beautiful condition and I was thanked for being such a clean A resident. Well, when I opened my envelope I was hit with almost $1,200 in charges !!!!! I was told these charges were from carpet damages???? The inspector told me my carpet had normal wear and tear after 3 years. So , needless to say, I am in shock and I was banking on getting this money back. I feel what they did is criminal. I feel robbed and scammed and disgusted that they could get away with this . My review is to help the next person who wants to move into this community. DONT MOVE HERE !!! You will be scammed as well and hit with charges you do not deserve. This is just a shame that they could do this to someone. I don't know if this company is going broke or something, because they have also cut back on cleaning services and garbage pickup. The garbage dumpsters are overflowing , there have been raccoons seen and rodents eating at the garbage. My last year there I was disgusted at the filthy conditions, but i had to stick it out until my lease was up. I wrote emails several times bringing corporate's attention to these matters, I even took pictures. Now that my story is out, a lot of other neighbors have come forward to tell me they were also hit with astronomical charges. I even heard a neighbor was taking them to court. Gave one star because it wouldn't let me give a zero. Edit
