Property Ratings at The Pointe at River Glen
Lived here for almost 4 years now. The craftsmanship on my unit wasn't great: sloppy repainting, badly aligned trim, poorly fit doors. If you're in building 2 and facing northeast, there's a train, and while the building definitely quiets it I've had some light sleepers awoken by it and it's a noticeable distraction. Building services have been hit and miss but are better now than over the pandemic. I rent a parking spot and a storage unit: the unit was vandalized by some kids but the apartments were quick to respond and replace the lock. Rent has gone up a few hundred dollars since signing but not out of line with the market. They have a strict no-cannabis policy, which has hurt some friends with medical cards who visit. Cons out of the way, let's talk pros:the open concept is fantastic, in unit laundry is amazing, spacious bedroom closet, dining area works very well as an office, balcony is big and along with the tall windows lets in a ton of light, bathtub is massive, staff are friendly and maintenance is very helpful, living area is great for entertaining and has space for guests to sleep... and that's just the building! The location is amazing, highly walkable for anything downtown and if you want to push yourself you could get to CVS, Giant, Wawa, etc. Spring City is across the bridge, there's a fantastic walking trail next to the river, and if you're driving there are tons of amazing restaurants both locally and a hop away in Phoenixville. It's a quick drive to King of Prussia for all the shopping you can handle, and finding a unit at this price in this condition with this much space is gonna be a challenge in this area. Also, Royersford has events in the park and a farmer's market every Saturday throughout the summer, and both are mere steps away! I love this place despite its flaws, but it is important to know those flaws going in. Looking at what's on the market now, I'm glad I went with this unit. It's incredibly hard to find the same benefits on the market today, and I'm comfortable with the drawbacks. Take a tour and judge for yourself.
Apartment was dirty moving in. Did not clean before. Bathroom drains did not drain. Maintenace does not do repairs. Common areas are so dirty. Walkways and hallways nasty with dirt, bugs, cobwebs, cigarettes, weed. Garages are nasty with spilled things, trash, broken glass. Elevators have dog pee frequently. Stairwells are dirty and smell horrible. Trash area has trash spilled and broken glass. Gnats come up out of the drain. They won't put enough chairs by the pool. People smoke everywhere, by the pool, even throw their cigarette butts on the ground from upper levels in building 2. People leave dog poop everywhere. You hear your neighbors at all hours. Loud train. Don't move here.
Before I rented my apartment I called several times to look at an apartment it was told that there were no models available to look at. I was told that I had to hurry up and put the application in because the apartments were going fast so I did without seeing the apartment. The day I was suppose to move in I took the check to move in and walked through the apartment. My apartment was filthy, the refrigerator had black magnet stuff stuck all on the front of it floors were dirty toilets had poop still in them from the previous tenant and the balcony was full of bird seeds like the tenant above is feeding the birds. I did a quick walk through because I was sick. I didn’t move in that day I moved in a month later because I was still suffering from Covid. When I moved in I soon found out that there were trains that run every so many hours and all hours of the day, night, and morning, I’m talking about as early as 5:00am through the whole day and they blow a loud horn about three times and I haven’t had a good nights rest since I been there and I work at night time and the train goes all day. None of the doors in the buildings are secure at all anybody can come walking in the building at all hours of the day and night nothing is secure and I don’t feel safe at all. The valet trash is horrible and there are no dumpsters there so I wound up with my second bedroom full of recycle boxes and containers that they would not take so I have trash in my apartment and in the storage area on my balcony that I can’t get rid of because I don’t have a big enough car to put it in to take it out. I saw a mouse on my balcony possibly from the bird feeder who is feeding the birds and the shells and corn and whatever else they are feeding them. The parking situation is not good either if you’re not home at a certain time if you don’t park in the garage you have to walk far in the dark to get to your apartment. Once I cleaned my apartment inside it was ok but if I could break my lease and get my money back I definitely would because I definitely didn’t know that that train was back there they don’t mention it to you when you go there and I actually thought they were dead tracks when I rode over them because I never saw a train going down them at all. Looks nice from the outside definitely. Inside my apartment the ceilings are extra thin I swear the people above me are in my apartment but that’s what happens when you live in apartments so that’s not a big deal. If I had it to do all
We moved here last year right before we went into quarantine. The apartments are spacious with valet trash, garage parking, and elevators in every building. The complex is also pet friendly with a dog park. They also supply poopy bags for you to clean up after your pet. The train was loud in the beginning but now we hardly hear it because you do get used to it. The office and maintenance staff are very helpful as well. We would recommend living here.
Management is horrible! Dirty hallways and hallways always smell like weed & cigarettes! Any maintenance complaints are not address! Not worth the money or aggravation! Stay away
The apartments are okay. But the rental office is not organized at all. The kitchen and bathroom was super dirty when I moved in, there are 4 different carpets in my apartment, and everything was The kitchen still had crumbs, stains, and goo left in the cabinets. There was dust everywhere on the refrigerator, cabinet doors. The counter top still had caked on dirty and crumbs on it. The bathroom still had larges amount of hair left in the corners of the room, the cabinets in the bathroom still had razor shavings from the last renter, and there was some kind of powder everywhere. The walls needed to be painted again (which they haven’t done yet). The living room carpet is super old and gross, there are spot all over the carpet. The bed room carpet is old and a different color than the living room carpet. The closest was the cleanest room but the carpet in the closet is old and gross, and the carpet is 2 different colors.

I have enjoyed living here. Maintenance crew is on point, always responsive. Management is forever changing but generally nice. This past group of management (Katie) created a wonderful gathering space in the leasing area and provided monthly events to get the community together.
The Point at River Glen is an awesome place to live! I love how peaceful it is and I’ve never had any issues with other tenets. Also the staff and servers team are always willing to help right away and are very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend this place!
My former roommate and I chose this property due to wanting somewhere safe, beautiful, and homely. The current management has taken a beautiful place and turned it into a community where you can come home and feel at home. Even after my roommate moved out, I chose to continue staying in this complex! The apartments are beautiful, the pool is wonderful, but the staff make living here worth while! I hope to live here for many years to come!
We've lived here for about 3 years, and have loved the apartments. They're clean and spacious, neighbors are quiet, and management is quick to respond when there's an issue. Would definitely recommend.
Truly the best apartment around and your money goes far here! Such a great area with stuff to do but also very quite when you want it to be. The apartments are newer, which is super nice and very spacious. I love calling the point my "home." The new property manager, Katie is great! She's turning the community around and getting all the residents involved. Mary and Eileen are always welcoming and personable. They truly care for you and your home! I wish there were more amenities and I wish the gym was bigger. If there's ever a problem I can count on these girls to take care of me. Their residents are their main priority and it really shows!
Lots of issues when new management took over. ...Incompetent, defensive when you state the facts and they feel they are always right. New pool rules every week ... plain simple if office staff would work as hard as they feel the need to smoke every 10 min things maybe better
after getting a divorce, my 17 yr old daughter and I had to find a new home, not an apartment, a home. We looked at many locally and decided to move into another property, not really knowing that this complex existed. When ti was time to renew, we came by, just by chance - and fell in love. The layout is perfect, and the high ceilings, kitchen layout, and amenities made it a perfect match. The location is convenient to everything, plus we chose the option of a parking space in the garage ( a must in the northeast with snow, ice and rain storms frequently)....the service of trash pickup at your door is fabulous, plus each building has an elevator so no worries about bringing up groceries, or taking down suitcases etc. The pool is large enough to never seem crowded and they just built a dog park which is used alot. Best of all is the staff and maintenance crew. I have never had a big issue, but any I have had have been addressed within a very short time span. Everyone is friendly and ready to help. My biggest regret is that I didn't find it sooner... We now have a place to call "home".
I've lived in this apartment complex since they've opened up going on 4 years now. I have zero complaints. The staff is very friendly, maintenance is on top of everything within the day. The grounds are well maintained and are currently going thru a landscaping upgrade. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice clean place to live come check out The Point at River Glen!!!
Love, love, love our apartment in the Point at River Glen. Our 3rd floor apartment has a fantastic view of the Schuylkill River. We can sit on our balcony with a glass of wine and watch kayakers and fisherman along the river. We have a lovely pool and an exercise room. It is spacious with living room, office, kitchen with dining alcove, two full baths, and two bedrooms one being a large master bedroom with an attached sitting room. The best part are the extra features such as recessed lighting, crown molding, and tray ceiling. Extremely well built, noise is not a problem. The leasing office and maintenance staff are very responsive and eager to please. I'm reminded of staying at a condo at a lake resort or at the shore...only 365 days a year...lucky me.
This place is great. My girlfriend and I bought our first apartment here and they are so very nice. We have our own patio, access to a pool, gym, free wifi. The location is terrific, right next to a river and phoenixville is right around the corner which is a nice little town to enjoy. There are places to wine and dine around here. It's quiet and peaceful which is what we were seeking. I am now able to sleep and our birds and dog was aloud too!. We love living here.
It's an okay-looking apartment on the first look. The maintenance guys have been pretty good if we need something. the office staff is warm and friendly. It's a good place if you have a dog with added amenities for pets like dog park along with having several walking trails along the river. I want negative is the train is awfully close to the property. The railroad is less than 100 feet away from the door of some of the buildings. There's trains that pass by in a very regular basis through late at night and very early in the morning. They could probably use better quality Windows to keep the noise down that would fix a lot of the issues. The floor seem to be paper thin When anybody walks around. I wish some of the amenities would be open longer throughout the day like the pool. But if you can get past that it's not a bad location. You're very close to almost everything with just a short drive away.
