If you are looking for a friendly and safe space for you and your kids, I recommend this apartment complex to anyone I know. Ricardo is the name of the gentleman that helped me. He was polite and was very experienced. He gave me and my family a tour of a few apartments and we loved them.

Hi there - thanks for your lovely comments about our team. We'll be sure to let them know they went Beyond Expectations!
On a recent visit to Arizona, while looking for a place to live, I toured The Pointe apartment complex. I first noted just how well kept and clean the entire area was and what a beautiful neighborhood. The manager was especially nice and informative. I found the apartments to be spacious and the floor plan of the 2 bedroom apartment gave each room a semblance of privacy. My favorite part was the ability to have a washing machine and dryer in the apartment as well as the numerous parking spots. When I think of a place to live. This is definitely the first one that comes to mine.

We are unaware of any rats on our community, inside or outside. We are also unaware of any homes with any mold issues. Work orders are done daily, sometimes emergencies can put back a standard work order, and we apologize for that inconvenience. I would like to get some more details about your experience with us. Our manager would really like to speak with you more regarding this matter. Please reach out to us at (623) 267-9340. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, we work hard to provide a fantastic experience to everyone. It's discouraging to see that you had a negative experience. As explained to you and all of our residents, City of Phoenix is the one responsible for water charges and can fluctuate monthly. City of Phoenix does increase their water charges in the summer months. Residents charges are fixed per their lease term, the only part that changes is the resident utilities- usually only ab out $5 dollars or so. The pools has been open all summer and we are excited to be renovating the pool area starting later this month, so that the pool area will be refreshed for the upcoming swim season. Our residents are very important to us and we are excited for all the changes that are happening here at The Pointe at South Mountain. Residents upon move out will have a final utility bill and any cleaning or damages assessed. The security deposit is used to off set any charges that may be incurred. Thank you
Complex went under new management company. It is the worst company at managing their work orders their issues or anything relating to the landlord. I’ve never had a problem with my previous landlords. However this one is the worst by far. Washing machine has been broken for two weeks. The repair people or personnel look anything but repair personnel. I am not sure who and why they keep hiring people that do not know what they’re doing. I was told that it may be a little while before my washing machine can be fixed in a few nearly 2 weeks. There is also the problem with Paz. There’s a problem with aunt’s wife and have repeatedly state itself to the manager of a complex and nothing has been done. Stay away from this place. Management is the worse by far, they have no customer service. Save your time and move somewhere else. If there was a way to rate negative stars I would rate them -3.
Property Manager at The Pointe at South Mountain, Responded To This Review
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied. As the new manager I am unfamiliar with your scenario, I have spoken with my team as well. I am unable to reach out to you since you did not post your name or unit number with your review. We would like to work towards a resolution, so if you are willing, please reach out to us at (623) 267-9340 to discuss this further.
Mold issues. Limited guest or 2 car parking. Very noisy living right by highway. Car break-ins. When I moved out, they were in the process of changing management companies. When I asked for my deposit, they said they have nothing to do with it, that was the last management company and they have all the records. I find it hard to believe they have no records. So they have no tenant information? The last management company just took all records? If the owner of The Pointe employed a company to manage their property, they are responsible for what that company does under their employ. But they will not assist me in any way. So instead of getting my $400.00 deposit back, I receive a check for $32.00 with no itemized list of why they kept any of it. My apartment was immaculate, all vents vacuumed, new stove drip trays put in, ceiling fans clean, windows and sills clean, patio hosed off, nothing left undone. By law they need to give me an itemized list within 14 days. They do not answer my emails or phone calls - this is Conam Management. The Pointe now has Greystar but no matter who they have, if they treat their residents like the way they treated me, it will not matter who manages their property, they do not care!!!

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience with Con- Am. Greystar recently took over managing the community. We would like to have a better understanding about your experience. Please reach out to us at (623) 267-9340 at your earliest convenience and we will do our best to resolve this with you.
These apartments are unsafe and in very poor shape. My boyfriend has been trying to get out of his lease for a while now because we are having a baby and the people in his leasing office will not budge. They are making him stay an extra 30 days past his lease expiring and pay more then what the apartments are worth. $1800 with no upgrades. He couldn’t even leave to go to work two weeks ago because the police had everyone held up in their apartments while they were trying to make someone else come out with their hands up. Completely unsafe and they expect us to Live here while we have our baby. Do not recommend these apartments for anyone.

day 2 and still waiting on maintenance to hook up my stove. Maintenance shed is located outside my unit seen him sitting there chatting and laughing with whoever was on the other end, went down to ask him if he knew roughly when they would be by, he gets on his golf cart and as he drives away he says 'yes I already know about it" RUDE! Let's talk about the cleanliness, there is none. cracks in flooring, over sprayed paint on flooring and windows, carpet in room is disgustingly dirty and bathtub should be white but is brown even after bleaching it multiple times. Location is great but that is about it.

From Management to Maintenance, this is a super team of people, who dedicated their time and expertise to managing and maintaining this apartment complex. Amanda, the new manager, is the sweetest lady on the planet and is always helpful no matter what and no matter how busy she maybe. She emulates a calm and professional demeanor at all times. The maintenance team are the super smart maintenance engineers and very mechanically inclined and are always willing to get the job done. They are making consistent improvements to this property.

I currently live here and have for the past year with my husband and baby. When I moved in, this apartment was so filthy I cried to the office person after she gave us our keys, and it smelt like smoke/dog with bugs, dents, chipped paint and old light bulbs and parts missing from toilet and closet. Management said they did not do a walk through and have horrible communication. We’ve had the AC replaced upon move in, so we had no AC in May while moving all our things in this filthy apartment. Horrible. Washing machine replaced, broken cabinets, problems with the oven, dishwasher, microwave, mold growing in closets, leaky EVERYTHING. Every time it rains, the septic backs up and raw sewage fills the toilets and bathtubs! And the maintenance “team” are the rudest I have ever met, they lack basic knowledge and have no customer service skills whatsoever. Any problem we have goes the same way, maintenance glosses over the problem sometimes we get a well worded email confirming maintenance is coming, but if you dont confirm maintenance and they come anyway, maintenance will relentlessly pound on your front door then yell at you. I did not confirm maintenance last week and I was in bed with my sick baby and a very large maintenance man was pounding on the door making my daughter start screaming. he was belligerent and intimidating nonstop yelling, I immediately called the office when he walked away and the office lady who answered the phone and lied to the manager saying she didn’t hear anything bad from maintenance man even though she was no where near? Lying. I’m currently waiting on a response regarding the proof of the office employee blatantly lying and the maintenance mans behalf. The office ladies are very monotone and disconnected from their job and it shows in their performance. And don’t listen to the well worded response to the manager, actions are bigger than words and if you are looking for a place to live and you do not want the experience I’ve had, then I would make a different choice. Anyone considering I am currently still living here and I have photos and emails I can show you. You need to really make an informed decision if you are considering living here
There's no exercise room or clubhouse And the manager says 1 cup of coffee only ! Your Automobile -----will get scraped dented and bumpers scuffed cause the parking lot is too small , and its hard to make 4 manuvers to get into your parking space. People backout of the narrow spaces and tight driveway and will hit your car. IT WILL HAPPEN , everyone here has the scars on the car . I thought it wouldnt happen to me when I read the reviews before I moved in . Well my audi looks like a tuna can. I used to love it , now I just frown. Stay on top of your lease renewal , there's been 4 different mgs Ived had and I ask for a rent quote like 75 days before the mandatory 2 mos notice you must give or pay !! Well everyone of them at every time my renewal came up they say the system is down and we dont have a rent quote for you. I swear I go up everyday for coffee and asked for the quote and theyd say its still down EVERYDAY for three weeks . I had to almost beg or get angry to get it. Well at they 45 day point you get the quote ans of course its gone up to something you cant afford . Well guess what you didnt give us 60 days notice and to break the new lease that we have written for you , you will pay us like 1500 dollars or something shocking. Ruins your month ,day , peace of mind. They dont care You'll have to stress out getting out of the complex in the morning , the car horns and road rage screaming goes on from 6am to 9;00 am
Property Manager at The Pointe at South Mountain, Responded To This Review
First of all, let us extend to you our apologies for any stress you may have been caused by this situation. It is our goal to make Pointe at South Mountain a place you love to call home, and we understand that you would like to utilize the community amenities to the fullest extent possible. Coffee Bar - Our coffee bar, as with each of our community amenities, is there for the enjoyment of all of our residents. Because of this, we must be mindful of how much we use these amenities and refrain from using them in excess as this would be unfair to others who may wish to enjoy, in this case, the coffee bar as well. As always, we encourage each of our residents to come and use the shared amenities as much as they would like, just so long as they do so in a way that is respectful to the community as a whole. Parking - We completely understand that parking is an important aspect of any living situation, which is why we make sure that our lot is able to accommodate all of our residents with some extra spaces for guests and for our future residents who may be visiting the property. We are very sorry for what happened to your car and encourage you to contact your car insurance agency if there are any incidents that result in your car being damaged. Renewals - Our community rents are dictated by the market daily. They can be influenced by availability, competition, & the market. We try our best to provide you with the best market rent base on the renewal lease term. After we receive the rates, we send out a letter on your door and an email with your renewal information plus we have it in the office at all times. Please contact us if you had any issues at all accessing your new rates! Road Noise - Our proximity to freeways and central roads is one thing that many of our residents love about the Pointe at South Mountain community. Unfortunately, we are not able to dictate or help with noise on the roads outside of the community, but if you ever witness reckless behavior within the community when it comes to driving we encourage you to speak to us about it so that we can do our best to ensure the situation is dealt with appropriately. We hope that we were able to address your concerns and would like to thank you very much for providing us with feedback. We take improvement very seriously and want you to know that this review has been shared with the team. Again, thank you for your feedback and please have a wonderful day!
This place is terrible. Most of the office staff have the worst attitudes and customer service I have ever experienced. Maintenance doesn’t know how to do their jobs, or they just do the bare minimum so the issue occurs a day later then they say they’re trying everything they can to fix the AC that’s been out for over a month and won’t let you out of your lease even when your dog suffers all day in a scolding apartment when you have to work. Sidewalks make no sense at all. Gravel is awful to walk on. Way too much marijuana smells on this property. Pools are tiny and extremely warm all year round. Do not live here.

We are very sorry to hear that you have not had a positive experience in our community. Our team here at Pointe at South Mountain works hard to provide the highest quality of service to anyone who walks through our door. We apologize for any frustration you may have felt during this time. Please let us work to make things right! There are a few issues you have mentioned in your review that we find very concerning and encourage you to reach out to our regional manager Patricia at (602) 914-7001. We would love to start a dialogue with you about this review and how we might be able to turn your negative experience at Pointe at South Mountain into a positive one. We really appreciate that you've taken the time to provide our community with feedback and we take improvement very seriously. Please have a wonderful day!
Most apartments I have rented in Arizona. In the United States for that matter. Have you sign a lease for a set term, either 6-months or a year, typically. This apartment complex slips in a clause that requires you to give 60-days notice prior to the end of your lease term, else they charge you for rent AFTER YOUR LEASE TERM HAS ENDED!! I expected my lease term to end at one year and I would be done with it, but with this apartment complex, apparently a 12 month lease actually means a 14 month lease... At the end of the day, I'll be paying about $1000 over what I should be paying to this apartment complex because of this scummy business practice. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Our team works exceptionally hard to make the Pointe at South Mountain a place you love to call home and we apologize for any frustration you may have felt during this experience. As is standard for lease agreements in the area, it is true that we ask for a 60-day notice to vacate if you wish to move out of the apartment. If we do not receive notice in those 60 days, your lease would be considered "month to month", which means that we will keep your lease active as long as we have not heard that you plan to vacate or that you have signed a new lease. This notice is in place so that we as a community have ample time to prepare, clean, upgrade, and put apartments on the market so that other potential renters have an opportunity to find their own apartment home in our Pointe community. That being said, we are very sorry for any miscommunication that occurred between you and our team at Pointe at South Mountain. Let us work to make things right! If you ever have any questions about your lease term or about the conditions of your move-out, we urge you to contact our community manager at manager.pointeatsouthmountain@conam.net. Our leasing team will always be happy to sit with you to discuss any of these items you mentioned in your review. Thank you very much for your feedback and we would like to assure you that it is taken very seriously. Please have a wonderful day!
The staff here is amazing. There is a playground, swimming pool and lots of grass areas of walks and play. The apartments are well designed and I love the hardwood floors. The rent is reasonable and there is an amazing golf course right behind my apartment which is great of walks at night with my son and dog. If there was ever an issue the front desk fixed it immediately (even in the middle of the night). They have gone out of their way to make sure that I had everything I needed, especially Yaritza. I am not sure who these other people were dealing with, but I have had nothing but amazing experiences. I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

I definitely do not recommend these apartments they are out to get all the money they can they do not care about their residents. i had a leak in both my bathrooms one lasted for a month nobody came and fixed it until i literally had to call corporate who also never did anything i was told the manager in corporate would come out and fix the problem after she dodged my calls for weeks she said she would come out and see the problem i still have never met her. The front office pretends like they don't know what your talking about when you say you've had problems that they haven't addressed. Because of the leak my carpet was damaged in the bedroom and once i moved they said i owed them $500 to replace the carpet that was damaged because of their cheap walls, I also mentioned i wanted to be there once they did the walk through of the apartment and no one called me i found out about the extra bills because of collections in the mail. They have vinyl tile in the living room (which is paper that looks like wood) i don't know how they expect people to have furniture cause once you move out they charge you hundreds for the paper being bunched up. I had a noisy neighbor who blasted music from sun up to sun down i reported that still nothing. Don't get me wrong the area is nice and they keep the property clean but for what you pay it is not worth it they have 2 pools meant for children cause they only go up to 4 feet, no fitness center, you have a high water bill, no cell phone service, the parking spots are so small i actually dinged my car on a pole pulling in once, and living by Guadalupe there is always loud noise and fireworks that you have to listen to for hours and sometimes wake up to it, there's basically no good features about this place other than the area. KEEP LOOKING if your gonna pay this much you can get something that offers more and a staff that appreciates you.......
Do not move in here. The management is atrocious, not bothering with return communication and not hesitating to add fees to everything, even if it includes double billing. And if double billing does occur, then you're stuck with paying the fee to get it fixed. Management is rude, incompetent, and completely unhelpful. Moving out was a nightmare, but I couldn't get it done fast enough because one year was too much. They double charged me for carpet stains and putting in new carpet, and overcharged water billing. Attempting to get this rectified went no where because no one bothered to contact me back. And to top it all off, I was sent to collections before my final payment was even due because no one can actually do their job. The apartments are not updated in the least and still reflect all the cracks, dings, scrapes, that have accumulated since the complex was opened. The pool is not maintained, and constantly has murky, disgusting looking water. The sad part is maintenance is the best part about the complex because they are very polite and quick to respond, but rarely do things get done correctly the first time anyway. They don't even pretend to want to give back any kind of deductible, claiming it as a cleaning fee, which is such a joke itself because they will find any way to make you pay more. Location would seem fantastic except for the fact that it's located on the stretch of 48th street that people use to by-pass the I10 so good luck getting out of the complex at all. Save your time and your money. Do not do business with this shambling joke of a complex. I wish I could give less stars because never have I had such awful experience with people claiming to be professionals. The only kind of professional I could call this place is a professional scam.
Here's a quick scenario of what it's like to live here for five years, "Broken refrigerator? They'll fix it next week." I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. * I've gone through 4 refrigerators now and have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. I wouldn't have lost the food if the complex addressed the refrigerator issue when I first told them to look at it! No reimbursement for my loss. * $93 per month rent increase at the end of my lease after losing hundreds of dollars of food and informing the complex, since they don't seem to care, about what is and isn't working properly. * I was assigned a parking space that is almost 500 feet away from the apartment. However, I am still being charged the same as all of our neighbors who all seem to have parking at or near the apartment. We've asked management to make an exception 5 times and still no change!. Just to give you a parking reference, if I were to walk to my car and then have to return to the apartment, it would take me nearly 5 - 6 minutes of walking at nearly a 1/4 of a mile. Did they mention this before moving in? No. * Moved in last week to another apartment with a roommate (that individual was being charged an extra $60 a month only a year after moving in). We gave the apartment complex a list of things that basically proved the place was renovated a long time ago and is now used and abused... This is a corporate scam in my opinion. Everything looks good on paper and that's exactly why Corporate will never take a step on your property to see what it's truly worth. * A car port fell to the ground over a month ago and damaged some vehicles. It's now being held in place by temporary steel poles. Is anyone allowed to park there? No. Suddenly, your apartment is no longer convenient. "And here's a rent increase at the end of your lease for all your troubles," says the Corporate office. In my opinion, the attitude that this apartment complex has is that, "There is no maintenance issue worth resolving." More than likely it's because the corporate office doesn't provide enough labor costs. Most of the maintenance staff is good at what they do, but when you talk to them they are beat and run down as if they're playing a professional sport rather than helping their tenants reach a state of peace and comfort. Then, meanwhile, I'm told by the staff here they don't like drama and to not to call their corporate office. However, only after the drama gets put into play does anything get accomplished.
The adage of "you get what you pay for" used to apply here. Now, it is much more expensive than it should be. They bill themselves as "luxury rentals" but they are not. Luxury rentals are up or down the street in both directions. Let me tell you why. 1. Parking. Nearly every resident here complains about parking. The spots are very small, and unless you have a smart car, you are going to be hitting your neighbors car or squeezing to get out. It looks like they *might* be addressing this issue after years of ignoring it - but it is slow going. If you have a new car, you dont want to live here. 2. Maintenance. First, the maintenance staff? Super friendly. But these guys are overworked by the complex. They replaced my door a few months ago as part of their remodel, and it has been MONTHS that I have been complaining that they cracked the walls and hung the door crooked, and no response. Again - I do not blame maintenance staff for this. The actual maintenance staff is pretty great. 3. Roaches. Gross. About 2 months after I moved in I noticed them. Exterminator hired by the complex did nothing. I had to go out and buy those smelly roach traps and put them everywhere to stop it myself. 4. The pools. Tiny, tiny pools. Run down. Do not let the one up front fool you. Look at the 2nd pool. Tiles falling off, cracks in the concrete. This will show you that all they have done is patch some walls and slap on some new paint. 5. Noise. Constant freeway noise. I live in one of the units that is far away from, but facing the freeway. You can hear it at night. 6. Guadalupe is right across the freeway. This means fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks, until late into the night. Don't bother calling the sherrifs office. They have permits. You just have to suffer with BOOM BOOM BOOM until 1 or 2 am at every single major holiday, and about a week before hand on certain holidays. The office staff has always been really nice to me, and the maintenance staff is great. I have nothing bad to say about the people that work here. I think are all pretty cool people. The complex just sucks!
Beautiful community in the heart of South Phoenix/Tempe/Ahwatukee area. Location is perfect and convenient to everywhere including major freeways. The office staff is nice and call you by name when you visit the office! I love it here!
Enjoyable apartments, we've lived her for about a year and a half. Little expensive but very quiet, never hear road noise or neighbors. Clean grounds and friendly office staff. Appliances are new but fixtures (sink, faucets) could use a little help. Overall 4 out 5 due to price and fixtures. P.S. Parking is easily accessible having guests over is no problem unlike other apartments.
I love the area that this apartment complex is located. Overall it is quite since it is across the street from a golf course and walking distance to one of the trails for South Mountain. My major issues are that the road we are on can be quite busy during certain times of the day and there are only two exits and they both exit onto that street so it can be difficult at times to get out They also need to have more maintenance guys. Everyone that comes to fix anything is very friendly but in the summer it can take weeks to get things fixed because they are working on AC units. It took 2 weeks to get my dishwasher fixed which caused quite a smell after awhile. My dishwasher broke A LOT while living here but they won't replace it. There is no ice machine, which doesn't seem like a big deal but once you don't have you, you really want it The layout of my apartment and AC vents is not efficient. There is one vent in my bedroom (small one) and with the giant sliding glass door in the bedroom it makes it difficult to cool it off even though I have black out curtains up...the same in the living room...very small vent for a decent sized living room They do take care of the grounds but in my area no one picked up after their dog. The pools are nice as are the people in the leasing office
I'm new to this wonderful area called Phoenix and I couldn't be more satisfied with my apartment. The staff is awesome at the The Pointe!
