Property Ratings at The Pointe at Vista Ridge Apartments
I was a resident for two years here. I’ve just received my security deposit back, and therefore have no issue writing this review (that the complex has sent me emails asking me to write). My experience here was extremely negative. The apartment complex was bought by a new management company and that’s when it went downhill. First they shot rent up over $500. Parking is a nightmare here. So much so I often had to park on the other side of the complex. I had routine issues with maintenance. For routine items, such as a toilet valve flapper, maintenance was often there same day. However for the major issues with the apartment, such as an active wasp nest living in the AC vents (yes I’m serious) it took me over 2 months to get even a semblance of a resolution. The resolution only came when it got cold enough to kill off the wasps. The other horrific maintenance issue I had was Air conditioning related. I was in a third floor apartment, and the AC duct work is so degraded that one bedroom didn’t get any air, and whenever I said something I was told “it is a old duct system. Sorry.” Again, I will stress this. THE AC BARELY WORKS AT ALL. MY BEDROOM WAS ROUTINELY 84 DEGREES IN SUMMER. The units are not well insulated, and because of this, despite having a 450+ electric bill every month (mainly just for the AC) the unit would not stay cool. The windows also excessively leak water, and water damage is plainly visible around the windows. There were routine issues with the entire complex smelling of weed. Overall the complex is not clean either. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing. Yet, the complex threatens to fine you constantly for trash bags being outside at a few hours outside the allowed times. They are obsessive over it. ($40 per bag if I remember correctly) They claim it to be a gated community, yet the gates never work. They would work for 3 days and be broken for 2 months. It was a cycle that never ended. They are now forcing you into their community Wi-Fi as well. If you do decide to move here, be very careful with Amazon/fedex/ups packages. They will get stolen. I filed several police reports over this. There is only one redeeming thing in my mind here, and that is the general manager is extremely kind. If you can talk to him, typically you get somewhere. His staff however is extremely dismissive, and unresponsive.
I loved living here for the first 6 months & now I regret moving here. Please look elsewhere. Rats everywhere, stuff gets stolen from the mail center, amenities only available during THEIR office hours etc.

My whole experience was amazing! Very nice and clean property. The assistant manager assisting me and my girls with our tour and offered some of his favorite floor plans. We felt at home. This property is very gorgeous and quite. The is friendly and kind. A+ for me

I liked my experience there. However, management is not responsive unless you go in person and both gates were broken the entire last month of my lease.

Even though it is an older property in the area, it is well maintained. The office staff knew our names. We weren't just another rent check to them. Maintenance requests were handled in an extremely timely manner.

this is a great community, clean and friendly. If some one is looking for a appartment , i will be more then happy to tell them about the community.
The only thing is the intermittent sound of the riser room and occasionally not being able to park in certain spots because of trash.
The area where the Urbanization is located is very good, near main roads, has important shops for day to day, nearby. Urbanism is very well maintained. The people in the office are very friendly and diligent.Good Price.

I would recommend family to rent here, because of the size of apartments and the location of the apartment. Plus the rent.

Mike has been great from the beginning. So great, I recommended to my son and he got a 1 bedroom for himself, we moved in one day apart. Sandey always greets us with a smile. Mike helped with some maintenance issues when we first moved in, maintenance took care of our issues very promptly. The ONLY thing I have to complain about is the Dog Poop and Parking. It's not the apartments fault but unfortunately, I'm in a complex where people let their dogs poop on the stairs and fail to pick up after them, I have two little kids that don't look where they are stepping and yeah... it may end up in the apartment. So if you can get past that, you'll love it here. Oh, There is no guest/visitor parking so if you arrive late be prepared to walk as some guest or visitors may have a better spot than you.

I would definitely recommend The Pointe at Vista Ridge to anyone who is looking for the Coppell/Lewisville area. The community is well kept and the people who work here are top notch. My neighbors have been nice and we haven't had any issues with our apartment home. I love it!

They charged me admin fees but gave unit in a filthy stage. When I moved out they sucked money with unethical bills or services which they never did. Unit has all damaged appliance. I sent several emails -they didn't respond but sent it to collections... I was shocked. Stay away from this, not worth it.

I love the complex and am proud to call it home.
I love the response of the office whenever we have a problem. I love the family friendliness of the community and the value we receive. I haven't looked at the website that closely, but wonder if it's possible for us to have more "community" within our building/complex; for example, have a way to post items for sale/give away when someone is moving, more community activities (Halloween, for example) by building rather than at the main office. We'd be glad to help with that. Ways to get to know our neighbors better. (We lost some great neighbors recently and just haven't had real opportunities to meet with our new neighbors- can the office maybe help with those opportunities?)
Recommended it enough to have a referral move in during my time.

I have recommended it. It's smaller, not 100's of units, family friendly. Fireplaces available. Gated entrance working more often lately. Easy access to retail and highways.

I was very impressed with the staff. They were genuine when they greeted me. Not fake when welcoming me like most communities are.
I really like the staff at this community compared to what we've had in previous years here. Sandy and her crew are very sweet, get the job done and handle issues as they come up. I would recommend the apartments for that reason and the fact that the community overall is pretty nice and the floor plans are nice etc. The only complaint and why I wouldn't recommend living here are the type of people that have moved in this community in recent years. It appears some are very trashy and come from or lived in trashy neighborhoods and don't know how to take care of a nice living environment.
In general the community is quiet and I feel safe. My husband and I would honestly prefer the gates be left open during the day and maybe just closed between 10pm and 6am or something like that. They are only an inconvenience during the day in my opinion. Things are kept pretty clean, although our breezeway could definitely use a power washing. We have never had any issues with bugs or rodents, which is great. If the prices stay reasonable I think it?s a great community.
My husband and I really enjoyed our visit and we left with more than expected as far as apartment choice and pricing. Bree thought to share with us the availability of a 3 bedroom even though are original plan was 2 bedroom. Both apartments were close in price so it was a very appropriate & timely suggestion.

Bri made an excellent first impression. She was professional. She was also very busy but seemed to be interacting wonderfully with all individuals and seemed to highly value the tasks at hand. The apartment and complex as a whole were also exactly what we were looking for and the units were reasonably priced.
