As one of the major economic centers of Alabama and one of the signature cities of the Southeast, Birmingham has done an impressive job of adapting to the new demands of the 21st century. The city that once built a reputation as the “Pittsburgh of the South” thanks to a robust steel manufacturing industry is now a hip community attracting entrepreneurs, artists, and innovative personalities. Birmingham remains one of the most active business hubs in the region, with headquarters for everything from banks to biotech firms operating in the city.
The dining, nightlife, and entertainment scenes have all grown rapidly in recent years, and just about everyone in town has an opinion about where to find the best brewery. Gorgeously preserved historic buildings and a pervasive attitude of down-home hospitality have kept Birmingham’s famous southern charm intact as well, creating a unique environment where the best elements of the traditional and the modern complement each other.

Property Ratings at The Pointe
They never answer the phone. They took my money order for my app fee and never processed my application.
This apartment complex is located in a very bad neighborhood. Police sirens and gunshots will be the soundtrack to your life here. The buildings are ROACH INFESTED. “Pest Control” is a maintenance guy with a can of Raid. I can confidently say that I never went one day, in my 2 years of living here, without seeing atleast 10-20 roaches. Water damage from the upstairs neighbors leaking toilet took maintenance 4 months (& a lot of calls to the office) to come and fix. The office staff is extremely unprofessional and will make you feel like you’re talking to a girl from high school. With how often they change staff, paperwork goes missing and that includes months of rent. 8 inch deep potholes throughout the entire parking lot. Floor is rotting. Paper thin walls and ceilings. Move here at your own risk!! I could go on all day about the negative aspects of moving here.
We have lived here for 2 years now. We love our apartment. It is very spacious, has plenty of storage space, and a large patio. We have only had one noise issue since coming here and it was quickly resolved. We have had small issues with our apartment that were quickly resolved by the wonderful matinence man. My only real complaint has to do with parking. Unless you pay for a covered spot or a garage then it can be tough to find a place to park near your apartment. We have tried to purchase a spot but all the ones near our apartment are taken. It is not a far walk to where there is parking though. Overall I like the apartments.
