Finding an apartment for rent in Hilliard, Ohio is one of those things you can look forward to. A quaint town, with just over 30,000 people calling it home, it is the ideal place to raise a family, go to school, or just spend time relaxing. It is the largest suburb of Columbus, Ohio, the state's capital city. And, with that proximity (and ease of drive into the heart of Columbus) Hilliard is one of the best places to call home. Finding an apartment here is rather easy to do, and you'll have your pick of a variety of styles, ages, and communities. Yet, Hilliard has much more to offer than just a residential area. It's popular with just about all age groups and is rather affordable compared to living in the heart of Columbus.
What's interesting about this city is its passion for sports. You can look to Columbus, Cincinnati, or even Cleveland to the north for the professional football, baseball, and basketball teams, though. Here, in Hilliard, it is all about the local sports teams.

Property Ratings at The Pointe
Barking dogs, noisy neighbors (rarely a moment of peace and quiet) parking is bad, ( car was hit in the parking lot, (hit and run) pool / patio is filled with loud people & music, trash cans are not to be left in the hallways during non trash pick up times but they are, and just an overall not concerned attitude by rental office and even if they are in office they're not friendly.

We’d like to apologize for the negative experience you had with us. We’ve taken your feedback and will work hard to implement needed changes. We'd love to make things right! Please reach out to us at your earliest convenience.
Expect the following if you intend to live here: • Mold in your unit that won’t be fixed despite your request at the beginning of your move-in •Vehicle Break-ins from residents & outside sources causing extensive damage •Vehicle damage (dings and scratches) weekly from other residents no matter how careful you park •No parking spots near your building at any time, expect to walk •Occasional homeless people trying to sleep in the building/enter your home. The complex made effort to fix main doors by adding on a lock, but the doors themselves don’t close without force so they’re left open anyway •Maintenance will enter your home regardless of your request to be there The location is convenient, but it comes at a price. Lack of Security has made me feel unsafe and anything you request on paper during your Unit review upon move-in, those will be ignored. Everyone has different experiences, this was mine and despite any efforts I’ve made, there won’t be any changes in the upcoming future

We are so sorry we did not meet your expectations. We’d love to make this situation right and provide a solution that will result in a more positive experience. We hope to hear from you soon.
PLEASE DO NOT THINK ABOUT LIVING HERE If i could give this apartment a 0, i would. Please consider looking anywhere else. They management company and apartment staff do not care about you as a human being or your "Home", and are more worried about their community events over fixing their residents apartments. All they want is your money and could care less about how everything is going. countless issues, maintenance and third party vendors entering and exiting apartments without notice, and using our furniture and Peloton bike as ladders thinking that is a smart idea. DO NOT LIVE HERE, PLEASE!

Let me start of by saying this is a very nice place to live. The office staff all of them are wonderful. However, the parking has continued to worsen. At this point within the month of June there has been three times I could not even park inside the apartment complex. Yes that is correct not even one spot inside the complex! At this time I don’t see any changes being made to alleviate this problem. Which stems from many residents having more then two cars and guest ETC. Those have been asked several times to park down by the pool which they do not. I also want to throw out here that I don’t think every apartment is even rented out; so there is no parking with more people to move in and nothing being done to regulate parking (stickers) so yes this is a beautiful place to live. Yes the office and maintenance staff is amazing but if you would like to be able to park even close or would mind not parking in the complex and walking 3-5 minutes this is not the place your interested in. Until change is made I can’t say I would recommend anyone to live here.
There is a quiet, friendly vibe at The Pointe in Hilliard and I am so glad we chose to live here in early 2018. I love the updated standard features in every unit--my personal favorites are the huge bathrooms with double-vanity sinks, walk-in closets and the over-sized laundry room is just the greatest! The staff here is so warm, welcoming and approachable; they're eager to jump in and help out with whatever comes their way. When lightning struck one of the buildings last fall, the entire staff banded together and worked tirelessly around the clock until the electrical issue had been completely resolved. I never feel anything but safe and secure whether I’m out and about on the grounds or inside my own unit. I really appreciate the monthly newsletters and the variety of delicious and fun events planned for the residents as a way to encourage meeting, greeting and mingling. Coming from owning our own home, my husband and were a little nervous about the transition into an apartment, but thanks to our spacious and functional floor plan and the well-maintained property at The Pointe, we felt right at home from day one—the beautiful pool, fitness center, movie room and walking paths were icing on the cake!!! We would definitely recommend it to friends.
The friendly property manager just left for maternity leave and the replacement property manger is sour. Half of the staff is sweet and accommodating. The other half seems to be there to sell and acts as if any question from an existing tenant is an inconvenience. The fitness center is only accessible from 10 AM to 6 PM. They keep saying they are going to allow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access -- like their marketing materials suggest -- but that day hasn't come. We've been here nearly 2 months. The place is still under construction (which we knew coming in). What we didn't realize is that you had to walk through an active construction zone just to throw away trash or recycling (no path around it). When I asked the temporary property manager she effectively said, "It is what it is, we are building Phase II." So, the translation is Phase I residents just need to suffer until Phase II is complete. The temporary property manager refuses to turn the heat on in the pool. So, it's late-June and you still can't swim in it (the clouds and rain keep the water near freezing). I've asked/pleaded with the assistant property manager to turn on (not turn up... just turn on) the heat. She said, "the warmth of the sun will have to do." I've had to sweep up cigarette butts from the sidewalk near my apartment on several occasions. I'm unsure if it is the landscape crew (most of the property is still dirt), construction crew, nearly residents or a combination of all three. We were one of the initial tenants. The apartment is nice. Appliances, cabinets, carpeting, etc. are very good. The painter was sloppy and there are drips everywhere (shower, floors, trim, even one in the carpet). Overall, I'd say there must be better places to live. At least I'd hope so. Perhaps when the construction is complete and the property manager comes back from maternity leave, The Pointe might be a place to consider.
Be careful if you rent from VC. All of the promises you see for The Pointe were also given to the residents of District at Tuttle. Once the District was fully built and occupied, the "management" gave up and did the bare minimum. VC also placed the complex on the market for sale. The complex found a buyer in the Fall of 2016(Oakmont Communites), but Oakmont didn't take possession until April 1, 2017. Once the complex was under Contract, things really went downhill fast at District. Items that suffered include: landscaping, broken underground gutters, trash everywhere, dog waste everywhere, stopped supplying water in the fitness center, coffee machine and supplies often left empty, broken locks at the clubhouse left unrepaired, complaints about noise gone unanswered and on and on. Thankfully, the apartments are still newer so not much maintenance was needed. The manager was never seen anywhere outside of the office and stopped returning emails and phone calls long ago. And transition week was the best. The residents had a letter left in their door on Wednesday the 29th saying that VC was pulling out on the 31st; no mention of who to make rent checks out to for the 1st. The office closed on the 30th for a "corporate event" and by Friday the 31st, all VC employees were gone. Oakmont brought several of their employees in on Saturday the 1st to try to get things in order. And another VC Communities issue, they created their own "power company" called Red Energy, a company that supplies power only to VC Communities and adds an extra charge to every resident's monthly bill to basically pay for the power of the common areas. Maybe these issues seem not that serious, but for the high rates that VC charges, you would expect they would keep their promises and operate a 5 Star complex. You have been warned.
