Property Ratings at The Poplar
After leaving our apartment intact back in 6/30/23 and leaving in this building for 2 years, we are been ghosted by the management to get our deposit back, we paid our rent in time and agreed to a higher deposit when signed our lease, its very disappointing to have no response from them now. And apparently we are not the only ones they havent paid their deposit back, look around! not worth the hassle...
Property Manager at The Poplar, Responded To This Review
We apologize for the delay in receiving your security deposit back. We have since hired a new property manager, Laura Perry, to address these issues and improve resident experience. If you still have not received your deposit please contact lperry@postcre.com. We hope to get this resolved for you promptly. Best, Laura Perry Property Manager
Renters beware! 72hrs before my move, the building manager informed my boyfriend (via email not even a phone call) that the apartment will not be ready for another two weeks. She did not rectify and said to me “this is actually not my fault.” I’m so disappointed because something that should be exciting has turned sour. Hoping someone from corporate reaches out.
Great building to live in! Beautiful place to live! Great people! Don’t expect your security deposit back on time.. even if you do pay your rent on time each month. It’s a hassle when moving out.
I lived at the Poplar over a year and they did have some turnover in management and hard to get continuity on policies every time there was a change. The new Manager now Michelle is great. She is very professional and gets things done for the tenants immediately. Thankful the Poplar now has a great Building Manager. Also, Thank you for the special events you plan for the residents builds a better community “Philly Thing”
I lived at the poplar for a year and it was nothing short but magnificent. The three things that stand out art community, amenities, and the lifestyle. Community- There's nothing worse than living in an apartment building with bad staff. Feeling unheard and not cared about or recognized...THIS IS THE OPPOSITE of what you get at the poplar. The staff is AMAZING!! Michele is the building manager and she does a great job making sure any problems are solved immediately- always available and quick to handle issues. The concierge crew is super personable, Ron is the best in my opinion. Always asking how my days are and remembering small details about our conversations. Amenities- The amenities here are priceless. Hot tub for the winter, grills with heaters above as well so you can cook on colder nights. Pools that are heated as well so you can enjoy spring fall AND summer, with lounge chairs and cabanas you can soak up the sun in year round. The gym is top of the line, and comes with saunas steam rooms massage chairs and tanning. There's multiple communal bathrooms throughout the building and showers as well if you need to use them. All maintained and well constructed. Lifestyle- There's nothing better than waking up and looking out your window to the city skyline or ben franklin with a cup of coffee. The bike room is useful if you use a bike, parking garage is secure and keeps your car dry in the rain, and the apartments themselves are beautiful with stainless steel appliances, high ceilings, and LOADS of natural light. This place is a dream, just go ahead and take a tour and you'll be signing by the end of the first hallway.
One of the best luxury apartment buildings in Philly! Modern designed place. The best rooftop pool in all of the city. The gym is huge and super equipped even with a free weight barbell squat rack! Super close to everything in the city. Super friendly staff. Best place in Philly
