Property Ratings at Griffis Seattle Waterfront
This building was purchased and changed to "Griffis Waterfront Seattle" and ever since this new company took over it's been a living cost-cutting nightmare. Avoid this building at all costs.

While I started looking for apartments to move to Seattle, The Post was probably the very first apartment I had a look at, and it was really love at first sight. It was slightly out of my budget at that time and I looked at other apartments as well, but this place was always in my mind. After 20-30 days of exploration, my budget increased and I finally got this place. This was the best decision I made and I love this place.

The building structure is high quality, but there seem to be mechanical, and plumbing issues at times. You may have this happen, and end up dealing with it until its fixed. The noise from neighboring pets will start to annoy those that dont want to hear it. The bar across the alleyway will have late night parties past 12am, and you will hear screaming, and yelling from their partying. If you want peace you wont find it here especially with the homeless encampments, and homeless wondering the area also creating loud noises, and dirtiness.

Anonymous, Thank you for your review. We know the 7th floor has had some mechanical issues out of our control that have caused a great inconvenience. The City will not help us relocate the encampment until the moratorium ends. We are sorry to hear you will be moving out and wish there was something in our power to change the situation. Best regards, Osiris Gomez
Moving into the Post has been an exceptional experience. The amenities, my apartment, the leasing/building staff, and just the building in general have all exceeded my expectations!

I've lived in multiple apartments, condos, houses, and cities, including Barcelona and NYC. So far my experience at The Post has been the best - and I don't say that lightly, I'm giving it critical thought. The staff has been great and the building is awesome, with impressive amenities, well kept, and for a very reasonable rate.

I had some concerns about moving back to The Post due to the homeless population in that area now, but I feel completely safe in my home and the views are iconic. Darth Vaders mom

Our application and move in process was made so easy by the leasing manager, Cassie. She communicated everything so thoroughly & answered any questions we had, and also made sure we had everything we needed. The views from my unit & the roof top are remarkable, and the front desk staff are super nice and helpful.

Looked at (4) buildings and the Post had the best apartment layout, the staff stood out as friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and the building is very well maintained. I would highly recommend the Post to my friends and family.

I have only been living here for a little of over a week! My microwave was finally replaced yesterday, and the only other issue is the bigger blind, that I was told had to be ordered and replaced due to broken pull string mechanism! They also replaced garbage disposal because of water leak and rusted grinder! All was done pretty timely! However these issues should have been spotted by management inspection prior to me moving in! Otherwise, I enjoy living here! All good now!

Amazing location with beautiful views and amenities.
Best maint team EVER!!! Thank you.
Don't be fooled by the reviews of people who applied here or toured here and have no business reviewing this place. I have lived here for years, I'll give you the real story. Residents are left fighting for the most basic of upkeep...do you want your hallways to not smell like dog pee? Too bad! Do you want them to actually throw the building events that are built into their budget? Too bad! Do you think you should be able to sit in the skylounge without sitting in food stains or love stains? Too bad! The grills have been broken for 6 months at a time the past two summers, you can barely see out of the windows for 8 months out of the year because they only wash them once a year, and the pet lounge is so putrid that the only thing I can compare it to is wading through an overflowing public restroom that's been left untouched for months. I wish I was kidding about any of this. Greystar and the current management has put their corporate interests miles ahead of their residents' interest. If you want to pay thousands of dollars to live in a dying building where management is happy to let you know that you don't matter at all, live here!
Property Manager at Griffis Seattle Waterfront, Responded To This Review
Hi, We regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Please know that we are working diligently care for our building. I feel like we have made some great strides in recent weeks with upgrades the Sky Lounge and Deck area to include replacing the flooring and furniture. You'll be happy to know that our hallway carpets are being cleaned at the end of this week and that we're currently bidding for our second window cleaning of the year. If there is anything further that we can do, or areas of attention that you'd like to share, we'd be happy to take them into consideration. Cheers, Nicole Kellogg Community Manager The Post 206-467-7678
Love the building especially the management is awesome here. Location is really beautiful and no safety concerns. Community office hours are unbeatable. Fitness options are limited but good quality options for gym, yoga and roof top social gatherings. Easily recommend to anyone.

I absolutely love living at The Post. Everyone who works here is extremely courteous and the community is kept up so well. If you're looking for a perfect location in the middle of the city with city, mountain and water views, THIS IS IT.
The Post is in a prime location for my commute to work and I just cannot get over the beautiful views from this building!
My girlfriend and I recently viewed and applied for a 2/2 at The Post. The staff were lovely, and we were blown away by how beautiful the apartment view was (northwest facing). The ceiling to floor windows all around the exterior gave some amazing views of Western Ave and the water. In the end we opted to live in a different part of town, but Jessie and Marie that we worked with were great. I recommend having a look if you are looking to live in that neighborhood.

If you ever find yourself in our neck of the woods, feel free to stop on by - we'll share the view with you any time. We hope you have a great day! Warm Regards, Nicole Kellogg The Post Community Manager 206-467-7678
Great place to live. Walk to the market within a few minutes to pick up fresh meat, seafood, and veggies for dinner. A wide assortment of restaurants close by. Safe and secure area with a since of community
The management of this building is beyond deplorable. They seem to be under the impression they are not accountable for a single complaint to literally disregarding any resident concerns. If you think you'll clean your apartment and get any type of refund returned, WRONG. Not only will you pay MORE on move-out than move-in, but they will create at least 5 new charges. If your lock breaks, you will be charged to basically purchase a new door as the cost is steep. The locks always break, there is a part that is dysfunctional and it's an easy way for them to make another charge to residents. The Post rents out units to Ginosi guests, basically a B & B/hotel for foreigners and they are not respectful of the common amenity spaces, let alone "quiet time" in the evenings. They also smoke throughout the building and hallways and usually have 10 guests in each unit, which could be next to yours! These are only the beginning of the issues here at the Post. BE WARNED and no matter how they attempt to dress it up, it's a very difficult place to reside in, peacefully. They do NOT work on resolving resident's issues, only covering them up! My advice: Steer clear of this apartment building!
Property Manager at Griffis Seattle Waterfront, Responded To This Review
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your stay with us here. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will use your comments to refine our efforts to ensure this issue does not happen again. Best, The Post Team
The management and staff here are in a deal with a group called Ginosi Apartels. You will feel like you are living in a hotel reserved for bachelorette parties and Seahawks games. You will get woken up at 2am, you will get liquor spilled on your hallways carpet, and someone will leave the door open or let a stranger in because they don't understand you don't do that in Pioneer Square. When you talk to management about this though, or try to get out of your lease because of it, they will lie to you to no end. They'll say they have nothing to do with it and are trying to kick them out, which is 100% false. You're stuck in a horrible lease in a horrible situation. I'm seeking legal counsel about reporting The Post for assisting Ginosi (who does not operate legally in the city of Seattle) and so far it looks good.

The building manager is borderline unresponsive and unmotivated to resolve any issues that I've had while living here. It seems the staff here could care less to help the residents if it requires any extra effort on their behalf. I've been given the run around multiple times and have been required to attempt to contact them 2 to 3 times just to get a response. I'm really unsure what these people get paid for if they're so slow to respond to resident issues. Terrible location. Noise from the Viaduct construction, the waterfront construction, the tunnel boring project, and the contractors at the Colman building. Don't even expect to get any of your deposit back. You can expect to pay extra when you move out. I suggest you dispute their claims.

This is the 4th building in the Seattle / Bellevue area I've lived in over the past 4 years.. Let me say it is by far the worst. Upon moving out, charges of an additional $1,200 on top of the security deposit for numerous claims were imposed - taking $1,800 out of pocket.... You will be nickled and dimed to the max upon move out here, so expect to pay more when you leave than expected. The only positives I can honestly say is that the front desk is helpful and friendly, the maintenance workers are very kind as well. Do not move here, there are many better staffed and friendlier buildings in the Seattle area.

The view from the roof is amazing. As are many rooftop views in Seattle. The building is beautiful from the outside. There is little upkeep however. Many coffee and pet stains on the carpets. The staff leaves MUCH to be desired, especially the office staff. They have a problem with lying. And, the prices are no longer competitive, they are too high compared to comparable or better buildings.
