Property Ratings at The Preserve at Crestwood
This is the worst complex I ever been in they never fixes nothing when you put in the work order it’s been going on for 10 months now my master bathroom shower handle never been replace so we can’t use our own shower, a/c going out, refrigerator leaking list goes on
They have been making lots of repairs to the complex. Within the last 4 months, they have completely rebuilt all the stairs and are redoing the parking lot. Also, they put in some really bright lights in the walkways! It looks like they're going to be repainting the buildings too. The girls in the office are always so sweet when I come in and Matt always takes care of my repairs for me.

I have lived at The Preserve for going on 5 years and I really love it. Are there some maintenance issues every now and then? Sure, but you're going to get that anywhere. Anytime I call to get something repaired, Matt comes down with a smile and takes care of my issues for me. I love that there's not someone new everytime I call up to the office. The staff has really become like my second family. I can't see myself going anywhere anytime soon.

The rent is entirely too high for bugs you have to endure, no lighting in certain rooms, a door that doesn’t latch, And a maintenance and management team with a million excuses. My door hasn’t latched to the hinge since my roommate and I moved in (we are two females). It’s been 4 months with no repair to the door. They received it a month ago. But they definitely have the audacity to charge a late fee in the middle of a pandemic- still no door. I’ve been sweet and super understanding. There will be a serious legal problem if I do not get my front door in by the end of this week.

I have been here for three years with my family. In those three years I have had work orders placed that took months to fix, i have came home to a flooded living room, i have been awakened at 3am to people partying above me and vomit at my doorstep, i have seen treebugs daily in my apartment, and I can no longer even enjoy the simple things like going outside. There are many other apartments to choose from with far less problems. Start there.

We regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. We would really like to speak with you more regarding this matter. Please reach out to us and we look forward to hearing from you.
Let’s start off by saying that the one bedrooms does not come with washer and dryer. That is false information. Secondly, I set my initial move in date for this place 01/08/2020. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I did not arrive until 1/14/2020, and my apartment was STILL NOT READY FOR ME! Caroline allowed me to go into the apartment without a checklist sheet, no kitchen drawer, no chandelier, the bathroom tub knobs were broken so no water, the bathroom fan was broken or just making weird noises, rust in the tub, nails all over the front room carpet, and old cleaning supplies and tampons left under the sink. And the light above the vanity in the bathroom is extremely uneven. I am far from satisfied with this place. When I brung everything to Caroline’s attention she asked for “grace” as if they didn’t receive that due to me moving in 5 days late anyways. I asked to be accommodated for this apartment that they just allowed me to move into without checking on it and nothing has happened yet. Oh yeah and I just received my mailbox key yesterday! Save yourself the trouble! Nice neighborhood but the complex is not worth it, and Caroline is not worth it either. NEVER AGAIN!

We are happy to help you with anything that you may need during your stay with us! Thank you, Caroline Thompson, CAM Community Manager
Our leased ends Jan 2 and we paid our last pay rent until Jan 2. They even charge us $70 for Jan 1-2 water. And now they send us another bill of rent for Jan 6 plus water. Save your money and go somewhere.

I've been living here for almost a yr. My one complaint is, I asked for a 2 bedroom w balcony. I needed to move from large house w patios. When they showed me my apt. It had no balcony. I was pressured for time to move. I did, the apt. laminate is dark, plus this apt. doesnt get much light, but the grounds are gorgeous, people here are polite..staff friendly. oh on moving here we were promised a gym membership. it is not happening.

Thank you!! We're so glad you're happy here at Preserve!
I love my apartment at The Preserve at Crestwood. It is always so quiet here, I feel like I have to whisper in the courtyards so I don't disturb anyone. I have really enjoyed going to the pool this summer. I have made SO many new friends here! We grill out together at our grills in the courtyards, hang out by the pool, have dinner parties. It's been amazing. The people in the office are by far some of the friendliest people I've encountered. They remember my name when I come in... heck, they even remember my dog's name. I haven't had many maintenance issues, but the few that I've had have been taken care of the same day I've called and whenever I've seen the maintenance guys out on the grounds they always smile and wave at me. I love the location of the complex. Everything I need is right here!
The community is totally not worth the prices they charge. The get you with the first month free however it's just a gimmick to get you to move in they make you pay for that first month over your lease period by up in your rent even more and calling it a concession. The grounds stay full of dog cap dogs poop on the sidewalks as well as urinate and it never gets cleaned up. More college kids live here. Parking lots are always full. If your moving upstairs expect a long walk until u get to ur front door. There are no amenities other than a pool they offer a gym membership but don't mention the gym is across town and nearly almost always closed. The carpets on the walk way have dog urine on them. Dumpsters are always over run with garbage. Save your money for something better.

Thank you so much for your feedback of our community! We are always looking for ways to improve our resident’s experience, so reviews like this are very important to us. I would like to address some of the concerns you mentioned. Like many apartment communities, we do offer move in specials to help with the expense of moving. These are never charged back to the resident unless the lease is broken or the rent is paid late. If you feel there has been an error in your account, please feel free to contact me directly. We have previously offered our residents a free gym membership to Riviera Fitness, but due to their recent closure with no notice, we are looking for another option that is more convenient and has better hours! Our pet owners are responsible for picking up after their pets, if you see someone not adhering to that policy, please let us know and we are happy to address it. I would love to speak with you regarding any issues you may have, please feel free to contact me at your convenience! Sincerely, Caroline Thompson, Community Manager
Whoever said, "there's no place like home," must have had The Preserve at Crestwood in mind!! I never thought I could ever feel "at home" in an apartment setting, but boy was I (very happily) WRONG!! First of all, The Preserve is off the beaten path, you can't see it from the main road (Airport Drive) and as a matter of fact, I didn't even know there was an apartment community back here! It's beautifully landscaped (even in the winter!) with lots of lush greens and pretty, colorful flowers. The pool just opened up for the summer and it's fabulous!! It's very clean and well-maintained. When you see something nice, you automatically want to keep it nice yourself, and all my neighbors seem to feel the way! It's a large area with a big pool and lots of tables, umbrellas and loungers. At the center of each building is a beautifully landscaped courtyard with a pavilion and tables and huge, clean grills! The apartments are all newly upgraded, and it really feels like you're moving into a brand-new apt! I moved from a smaller apt to a bigger one, right here at the Preserve, and they had my new home decked out, painted, cleaned, fresh. It made me feel SPECIAL. I already live here, but the staff here are always going out of their way, they are ALL so nice, and professional, and they get the job done! From little to big, they treat me like my issue is all that matters. I don't feel like the staff is just "staff." I feel like they're my family, too. It's clean and fresh and nicely landscaped, and that makes me feel happy every time I pull onto the property. The apartments themselves are great!!! I have space! and NEW appliances!! Let's face it, you can get a nice apartment... but can you get good prices, with a discount available for preferred employers? Can you get a friendly, family type of atmosphere? Can you have your dogs welcomed PS: I hear a dog park is coming soon!! We are in a very central area, near Crestwood Medical Center, Publix, Whole Foods, Parkway Place mall and many, many shops and restaurants. Everything you could want or need is within a very small area! There's no place I'd rather be. In fact, There's No Place Like Home!!

Please let us know what we can do to continue to make your home a great one!! Warmest regards, Caroline Thompson Community Manager
Love the location of my apartment! It is so close to everything...shopping, places to eat, things to do. I can be anywhere within minutes. My apartment is also absolutely beautiful! What you see in the pictures, is exactly what you get. I will call The Preserve at Crestwood home for years to come! Can't beat the location, price for what you get, or the amazing staff!
Property Manager at The Preserve at Crestwood, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your kind feedback! We are thrilled that you enjoy calling The Preserve at Crestwood home!!
I will start off with the fact it's a very peaceful area and you're surrounded by a lot of amenities. You will get a washer and dryer in each unit, membership to Riviera Gym due to no gym on site, some paid utilities and cable included and the staff if very friendly. If you're a runner/walker the apartment is settled in a neighborhood. The schools currently zoned for this area is Jones Valley Elementary, Huntsville Middle School and Huntsville High. The cons about this property. You can hear practically everything, rats infestation until the office staff come and actually close off all holes with the proper tools so the rodents wont get in anymore. Plumbing and insect issues for most of the residents that I've spoken to. You can tell that the "upgrades" weren't done too well just enough to look appealing. Don't be fooled by the "new" of the appliances. I suggest that you talk to a few residents before making a final decision.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Every day, we strive to make our community a better place to live. I'm sorry to hear that you have had some issues with pest control. Please feel free to stop by the office at anytime if there is anything we can do to make your experience better. Warm regards, Caroline Thompson Community Manager
I have lived at the Preserves of Crestwood for over 20 months now. The community area and schools are great and maintenance team wonderful. They have recently renovated and are quite spacious for the price. The reason why only 3 stars is they are a bit dated, and being older there were issues with keeping heat and cool temperatures in the master during the summer. Of course like all apt communities, neighbors play and issue in piece of mind as well and I had a mixture of positive and negative experiences.
