As the oldest neighborhood in the city, Midtown Sacramento combines historic charm with vibrant urban personality. Midtown features a robust nightlife scene that draws partiers from all across the city to the local bars and clubs, but the majority of the landscape is filled with charming homes (including many beautifully preserved Victorians) along its tree-lined streets. The neighborhood’s extensive and well-maintained network of sidewalks and bike paths makes the area very friendly to pedestrians and cyclists.
Just a few blocks from the State Capitol and the Downtown business district and with a major hospital on the east side, Midtown is the perfect location for government employees, corporate professionals, and healthcare workers who want the convenience of getting to work on foot or by bicycle. For weekends and off-hours, the capital city’s popular attractions (including the waterfront and the Golden 1 Center) are just a short stroll away.

Property Ratings at The Press at Midtown Quarter
We love living here! I've had a great experience from my first email inquiries through move-in and now to being a resident. Yanna did an incredible job giving us a tour. She was super knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions and I left my appointment very confident in my decision to move in. Even before that, Alicia went above and beyond by getting photos of the actual units I was interested in which drove my decision and confidence in renting here. On move-in day, Alex did a great job with showing us to our apartment and giving us an introduction into how all of the cool technology worked. This is a beautiful complex with great amenities and a solid team and I am so happy that I moved here!

Professional I am still looking into this apartment but so far it’s pretty professional and up to date in terms of communication technology and amenities.

Property Manager at The Press at Midtown Quarter, Responded To This Review
There’s nothing better than hearing our customers’ positive feedback! Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Don’t bother with The Press! The experience I’ve had (and heard from others as well) is that the staff is condescending and rude. On several instances I’ve had difficulty getting help from staff, such as when I was locked out and needed assistance to get back into the tower. There is also extreme hypocrisy surrounding the enforcement of COVID guidelines. The staff still operates in the office without wearing masks or distancing, but are on top of anyone using or even just going through one of the indoor amenities (even when alone). The amenities have been closed “due to COVID guidelines” but the staff has often refused to open them even when appropriate (such as opening the gym when the guidelines should have allowed). Weird arbitrary rules seem to govern their decisions about amenities and, on several occasions, I’ve seen staff members using them even when they’re supposed to be closed. The outdoor deck was even closed for about a year. Many tenants have actually paid out their leases just to get away from this place. There are many other nicer places in midtown with much better management and rules/regulations that are consistent and reliable. Do yourself a favor if you’re looking: don’t bother with The Press.
Most people move here for the amenities, however and unfortunately they have been closed due to "covid, including the outdoor amenities. The office and security staff operate with no masks or social distancing requirements which make this whole thing very hypocritical. If you get packages delivered they will get lost, the door panel doesn't work so you're likely to get locked out and the door for the paid parking is often broken, open and unattended. You're guaranteed to not get what you're paying for so it makes sense why the vacancy is so low and why they have so many discounts to move someone in.
