With a history dating back to 1688, when the French Huguenots landed at Long Island shore near today’s New Rochelle, Downtown New Rochelle has long attracted new residents with its stunning beauty and thriving businesses. Normal Rockwell, who grew up in the area, used Downtown New Rochelle as inspiration for several of his paintings. Considered one of the best places to live, New Rochelle contains some of the nation’s most expensive real estate – but affordable options are equally available, especially in the downtown area.
The historic Downtown neighborhood features amazing views of the Long Island Sound and the Manhattan skyline. Extremely walkable, residents head out to explore the many shops and restaurants along the shoreline. The architecture alone is inspiring, ranging from Art Deco to Romanesque to Colonial Revival. Getting around the New York area is easy from New Rochelle.

Property Ratings at The Printhouse
Printhouse so far has proved to be a nice community to live in. The apartments are up to date and spacious. Windows are huge creating alot of light in the apartment. I would recommend the Printhouse.
With the exception of public roof top and terrace maintenance, its a great building considering pricing, location, and quietness. There's a full blown management team working in building which provides a sense of security. Once we get terrace and rooftop situated, provide immediate electronic strips for residents paying for on premises parking, and better maintain hallway carpet stains and vacuuming its an overall phenomenal building.
The Printhouse has been by far the greatest rental experience I’ve had so far! Management is great! Super friendly, respectful and responsive. You can see they take pride in what they do here. The apartments are gorgeous and the neighborhood is fantastic! I definitely recommend living here.
This is the worst building ever. This management company is has worst reviews. Customer service is horrible. Nothing works in the building. Check with New Rochelle police department how many times they called to this building I have six months left on the lease got to the point I have to go see Attorney General to file a complaint against his building.
Please do your self a favor. Nothing works and management company very rude.
Very bad management and not safe whatsoever. This is a rip off and do not recommend it to anyone whatsoever. Please go elsewhere.
Worst building ever rude management company. Appliances don’t work poor security always noisy. Please read review before signing a lease. This building is a trap
Read any of the reviews below you will see the attitude of management, not even really apologizing just making excuses. The rest of the recent ones all seem fake, management is nowhere to be seen or heard from when. When they don't want to answer something they will ignore it. A touch of paint and a half-decent lobby (albeit with no front desk person... ever!) - Noise is horrendous, you can hear everything from all sides - Parking is pretty much the sketchy garage across the road - Gym hasn't been cleaned or maintained in a month - Need something fixing don't worry it will take months!
Unfortunately, it is not hyperbole to say it's noisy. I heard neighbors' talking, watching TV, and having sex. I heard conversations from the street, middle of the night garbage pickups, police, fire, trucks idling, automobile deliveries at 3am to the local dealers, and leaf blowing. I never slept more than 2-3 hours in a row. The noisy garbage pickups were unnecessary and require both the owner and the City to do something. This building seems to be made of reused cardboard!
This building is constantly changing property managers and it is difficult to get any help. The building itself seems to be rapidly deteriorating due to structural issues. They try to paint over it, but it is very apparent. Large windows have fallen out of the building for no apparent reason and it takes months to fix them. Those windows have fallen onto the parking behind the building where people walk everyday. I would not recommend this building. The pro is that the neighbors are friendly.
Property Manager at The Printhouse, Responded To This Review
We have already corresponded with you over these reviews. The new management team is in place as of March 2022. If you prefer to speak to someone in the office, stop by any morning or make an appointment for someone to call you via email.
We live at Printhouse for two years now. We had a good move in experience and so far Management team has been decent. The neighborhood is great and the building and there aren’t a lot of people coming and going like the other huge buildings nearby.
A far cry from luxury. As you can see all the recent reviews here. The building is falling apart, trying to fix things with a lick of paint won’t do the trick. The other reviews look fake to be honest. - Management is unresponsive to any emails - Water heat in apartment is intermittent at best - Building is falling part - Front door has been broken for months - Parking is horrendous - Building noise between/above is so bad you can almost hear conversations. Don’t think twice before moving in here, just don’t move in here at all.
Property Manager at The Printhouse, Responded To This Review
We have corresponded with you and have resolved your unit issues to the best of my knowledge. As for your review, the building is in fact, not falling apart. Our front door was damaged by someone who drove into it and due to Covid, it took us a long time to source the round glass, it is now repaired. Our parking is upfront; either on site or across the street in a municipal lot, neither of which is horrendous. I've never heard a conversation or noise between units, this is hyperbole. Not sure what you are hearing. The new management team is in place as of March 2022. If you prefer to speak to someone in the office, stop by any morning or make an appointment for someone to call you via email.
I moved in and my air conditioning did not work and I did not have a toilet to use. I was never provided with my parking pass (and still do not have a place to park), or access to my storage unit. I have unfinished paint in my unit and painters tape on the ceiling. There is hair from prior tenant coming up through the drain in my shower. The property management company is unresponsive and unwilling to help. Don't live here.
Property Manager at The Printhouse, Responded To This Review
I am so sorry to hear of this terrible experience you had at Printhouse. As of March 2022, we are under new management. If theses issues, are still persisting, please visit us in the management office.
I was facing a nearly cross country move to the area. The entire staff I worked with at the Printhouse so far went above and beyond to ensure that move went smoothly, efficiently, and successfully in the face of a ton of stress.
