Property Ratings at The Quarters at Towson Town Center
The smell of garbage through the hallways, because tenants leave their garbage so it creates flies, if you have a delivery you have to go outside to retrieve it because there is no place for the deliver person to enter the building, the noise on the floors above you are unbearable, don’t let anything break on your apartment it takes maintenance weeks before it gets fixed. Tenants smoke weed in the stairwell and leave their trash and spit wouldn’t recommend here for the price it’s disgusting

Rent 2/10 -same price as the better buildings around us Amenities 0/10 -can’t use them the kids from all the complex’s use it as a playground because doors don’t lock only the gym and media room is useable Apartment 10/10 Complex 1/10 .. very dirty no bugs or rats but pee and throw up everywhere for months …the parking lot has not been cleaned all year ..looks like a alley and the amenities are used by the kids from surrounding buildings because doors are unlocked so you can’t use them (project building dirty) Management 5/5 : is great in the renaissance building but they refuse to manage the jazz building so depending on what building you get determines on if you get a management team 0 walk through before leaving no over night cleaning and no amenities or Security

Don’t move here. This place does not care about you. The apartment above mine had a water leak in December and they took over 3 months to fix it. They would not put me somewhere else during repairs. The staff is incredibly rude and incompetent. I honestly was better treated at my previous Baltimore city apartment. I felt safer there too. You can’t call them, only text and they don’t answer half the time. Guest parking used to be free and just recently changed to $12 a day. They sold the pool table, a featured amenity, with no intent to replace it because “the new design doesn’t allow one”. Things (that are supposedly included in the rent) are CONSTANTLY closed and under construction. They downsized the water heaters to cheaper ones so now the water only stays warm for 10 min. Maintenance enters your apartment whenever they want, even if you tell them they can only enter when you are home. They make you pay monthly for trash pick up and now they say they will fine us if we leave the trash outside for them to pick up….. All doors to the garage are completely broken and unlocked, meaning anyone can enter from off the street at any time of day. There were two cars that were broken into this week in the apartment garage that they are doing nothing about. I’ve entered at least 10 maintenance requests for the broken locks. Maintenance just changes the request to “complete” without doing anything. I’ve attached pictures of the broken door. Only move here if you’re interested in being treated like trash, smelling trash, and having your car broken into in the garage they make you pay for.

Whatever you see here on this site, please be assured this place is nothing like that. If you enjoy the smell of cigarettes and weed then this could be your place. If you like fire alarms being pulled in the middle of the night, then this might be for you. If you like being nickel and dime for everything, then this is your place. This place was very cheaply remodeled. The apartment you get is not what you see in the pics. Nothing works. Like it’s been a battle to get a working AC since I moved in. The people who maintain the property wake up at 5am and start moving trash containers around each and every morning. So if you happen to be anywhere near a trash bin, you will never sleep. I transferred from a sister property and at the last minute was told I had to pay a $1000 transfer fee. I wish I would’ve second guess that fee and looked elsewhere because it’s been a nightmare since that moment and I’ll never get that money back. The school is great so if you are in the area for the school, I recommend looking at the other communities nearby.

Absolutely terrible. If I could give it a zero I would. I don't know what these 5 star people are talking about. Our apartment flooded every time it rained for the first four months we were there and the property manager refused to reimburse us when renter's insurance said they had to cover it. Our washing machine was broken for three months before it was finally replaced. My car was towed despite the fact that I LIVE THERE. It is not safe at all, anyone could get in. 95%of the doors going from outside to inside don't close all the way. The gate to the garage was broken for 3 months. There's actual dog poop in the hallways. The property manger is useless.
Do not live here, save your money for something way better. Not sure how they are raising the rent still every year. The trash situation is terrible, there are rats inside and they seem to not care about the problem at all over the 2 years I have been here. People put open, rotting garbage in the hall for the valet service to pick up which they have not done anything to fix that problem. Old inefficient appliances create extremely high energy bills. Nothing gets fixed in a timely matter. The leasing office staff is very nice but they are suppressed by upper management to take care of the problems. For the same price you can find something significantly better. Please trust me.
RUN, don't walk, RUN from this horrible company. DO NOT LIVE HERE. If I could give negative stars I would. My significant other and I lived here for 2 years and were perfect residents the entire time and put up with an insane amount of negligence. We decided to move after the following breaches of contract on The Quarter's part. -NO working locking doors or secure entryways to the building on the 1st and 2nd floor or garage entry areas -Absolutely NO working garage gate or garage security while we were still paying for parking -Constant trash, throw up, and broken glass in the garage and around the complex -Extremely loud and large Rottweiler & pit bull breed dogs (which are not legally allowed in the majority of MD complexes) constantly fighting upstairs keeping us awake at all hours that weren't even on our upstairs neighbors lease. One of their leasing agents mistakenly told me they did not have dogs on their lease after I came in and complained about the noise and constant fighting upstairs. -On top of all of this, they sent us to collections for a $600 bill upon move out for "cleaning". There's nothing in the lease outlining any of these charges. THEY NEVER EVEN SHOWED UP TO OUR PRE-MOVE OUT INSPECTION. They do not care about their residents and are predatory. Instead of providing a nice living experience, the management team is too busy trying to shake down quality residents while ignoring the ones that are making others' lives miserable. Hence why we moved out and into a much better complex. DO NOT LIVE HERE. You've been warned.
The photos are deceiving. No controlled access, as zero security in garage and building. Half doors are broken, I've been here since February and have a garage clicker, I never used, because there has NEVER been a gate to use it on lol They grant access to your unit to exterior vendors, like the power washers. Broken elevators, and unauthorized vehicles in garage, yet you pay for use of a "secure" garage. Think twice, especially if you're looking for your college students, if you want safe and secure. Pictures are deceiving. Appliances are old, cabinets are worn in kitchen and bathrooms...shame, I was so happy when I moved in.
Patrice is absolutely a delight. She went above and beyond to provide me, a future tenant, with information that would make my transition beyond ideal. Having a safe place to live and a management team that CARES about its tenants is unfortunately hard to come by. I have my faith in The Quarters!
I enjoyed my stay at the quarters, I'm surprise by the negative review the apartment is getting. For an apartment close to the mall for the price they are charge, I think this is a steal. I loved my experience at this apartment, I signed under buzzotu and stayed even Mission rock took over. At first, I was not really sure about the change of management, but after awhile I adapted to the new management. The place is clean and everything works real fine. The apt is close to the mall and surrounded by some nice hang out spots and restaurants. Dont let negative reviews deter you from visiting and experiencing this amazing apt complex. Most people with negative reviews are probably sad with things called good. I love my stay, the leasing team attended to my questions and were very helpful. Sean is a great guy and was always there to offer assistance to us. Nadja the pretty young lady (office leasing consultant) was also helpful, nice and accommodating. I really enjoy having a conversation with her. In all, I would love to have stayed but had to move the DMV area instead. I would surely return to the quarters if I ever return to Towson. Thanks for your service.
I'd look into the other option if I were you. I really wish Mission Rock would show some interest in the issues I've had while living at The Quarters, but they haven't. The living space itself is fine, had a few issues with roaches immediately once I moved in, but the maintenance guys have been really polite and helpful. If your problem lies in where Mission Rock cuts corners, then you're probably out of luck. The garage itself is way too tight to safely fit your car around others. If you want to play it safe and not get scraped by a concrete pillar, Mission Rock's latest email says you will get towed. If you want to have a guest park in the garage, head over to the leasing center for a guest pass. I did this when I had a friend staying for a bit. Asked if I could get a pass for that extended time and was happy to get one. A few days later, their car still gets towed (perfectly parked, with tag in proper display). They told me the pass was forged (mind you, passes are free and you can receive new ones at any time). I got a bill over $300 to tow the car a 5 minute walk for less than half a day. I contacted Mission Rock multiple times to discuss the matter, but couldn't even get to speak to the property manager. Kept getting pushed around and ignored. But at least their garage is safe! Locked doors and gates only residents can open. Yet my car, parked in a parking space I get charged monthly for gets keyed in this safe garage. Luckily, the garage has always had security cameras that don't work. These cameras have not worked even since Mission Rock took over months ago. I once again tried to get in contact with the property manager but seeing as I was unworthy of even a phone call last time, I'm not so hopeful. Even with gated entrance/exit, locked doors to the garage, and a patrol officer, I wouldn't bank on this property being very safe. Seen blood in the hallways and drug home deliveries many times since living here. My recommendation, look elsewhere.
The photos are pretty old. What you see are the original photos of the properties. Please visit on a weekend and tour both buildings. Ask to see the theater room and clubrooms. they will be quick to say that they are upgrading. that is the same story that I got from the previous management (they have changed hands 4 times in 5 years) The courtyard shrubbery is gone, the treadmills are very old and have iPhone 2 connectors and no video screens. Only one machine can be used at a time or the power goes out. (Fire hazard). Most of the apartments have old laminate countertops not like the newer apts pictured. In the newer apts, there are jacuzzi size tubs with a 60 gallon capacity but also 20 gallon water heaters. So you can NEVER fill a tub with hot water.
Great place to call home my experience has been exceptional the staff here is wonderful they will try their best to meet your needs I love my apartment very spacious... looking for a great place to call home give the Quarters At Towson a try u get more space for your money
The building itself is clean, well maintained, and incredibly well-managed. I've been here for a year, after the past ten years of renting from various companies, and this is by far the best experience I have had. I would probably discount older reviews- the management/prop co has steadily improved and renovations have happened. In my experience, the building works hard to foster a community and keep you safe and happy. They host lots of nice resident events (just came from taco tuesday), holiday card decorating, etc. Any issues are addressed within hours and promptly fixed. It's a LOT less expensive than the Winthrop or Southerly across the street, and has similar amenities, just less fancy. If you're looking for granite counter tops and want to pay a lot, go to a different building- but if you're okay with nice, clean amenities, clean white carpeting throughout the apartment , and two basic gyms, than I would definitely go take a tour of The Quarters.

Thank you very much for the 5 star rating! We are happy that you have loved living here at The Quarters and that you enjoy our resident events...especially Taco Tuesday! We look forward to many more moments and memories of having you as a valued resident of the community! Sincerely yours, The Quarters Management Team
The apartment building shows well but once you move in the problems start. The appliances are original and starting to wear. The parking garage is too tight to fit a car up and down, and my car got broken into in the "secure" garage. I've had numerous roach encounters. The cannot figure out the package situation so it is always an ordeal to get your packages. Pros: Its affordable, looks nice, has a nice pool area, and has easy access to 695 and 83.
