Property Ratings at The Quinn Apartments
if you end up on the west side, you're next to a metal pressing factory and your entire room will shake every 10 secs. and they work 24/7. it is a nightmare here!
Horrible experience, there was multiples problems with the manager. Packages were stolen from the mail room and bikes were stolen from the bike room. The front doors remain open to the public from 10-5 or so, with the front desk taking lunch breaks for an hour or while touring the building, thefts just walked in with their empty back packs and stole the package not placed in the small amount of lockers available. I was shown the video by the building manager of this occurring and nothing was done other than a email being sent telling residents to get their packages faster. No additional security measures were added to stop randoms from the public from just walking in and stealing stuff. Additionally, the staff was incredible difficult to work with and will tell you what you want to hear (such as subletting is totally fine!) and then weeks later recant, (we don’t sublet and never have!). They will be very rude, unaccommodating, and demanding to their tenants. One time there was an issue with my toilet plumbing while I was out of the country which resulted in unreasonably high water bills. The water company informed me that the Quinn would be responsible, the Quinn management team stated the water company was responsible. Upon my return, I was made to pay the full amount despite not being in the apartment for several weeks when the plumbing issue occurred and was no fault of my own. When I tried to get the amount reduced, nobody would help me despite their statements saying that I would not be responsible. Furthermore, they denied making repairs on the toilet while I was gone, despite there being a signed statement in the apartment stating they replaced a valve in the toilet. There were car thefts that occurred at night, and frequent emails sent regarding tenants not smoking anywhere on the complex property or in their units. However, the old apartment manager could be seen frequently smoking right next to the building which had been designated a non-smoking area. There is also construction right behind the building that caused such a loud disturbance that the building would vibrate (the work would occur throughout the middle of the night and early morning hours). The only reason they get one star is because their repair men were extremely friendly. Don’t waste your money or your time. There are other nearby apartments that have better security systems (with their garage and building) with the same amenities.

Regarding parking, the person below me is totally wrong and probably Parked in someone else’s parking spot and that’s why the person was towed. I’ve had no problems with parking so long as you park in your assigned spot. The apartment complex gives ample warning and reminders that if you do not have a parking permit and parked in another persons spot, then your car will be towed.Solution? Pay for parking and don’t take someone else’s paid spot and you will never have any problems. I’m glad they are strict on parking because I would HATE to come home after a long day at work and find my spot taken by some cheapo who isn’t want to fork over the $50/mo fee. One month in and so far so good. Feels like a hotel.only concerns are the trash system which is nonexistent (you have to walk outside to the corner which is terrible if you live on the opposite end of the complex) and the overall cleanliness. There is no janitor so I think they only vacuum/clean the common areas when things get visibly dirty and boy did it get very dirty before they cleaned the common areas this week (first time I saw this whole month). Also the free water bottles are almost always gone for those who come back after 6ish.
Do you want to move into a place that will randomly tow your car in the early morning, leaving you stranded and unable to get to work? Well The Quinn is your place! I've never stayed at a place so anal retentive about parking..... The building only gives one spot per apartment unit, but there's tons of street parking ..... NOT! You have to fight the college kids that don't work a 9 to 5 like most adults do and this leaves you unable to park your car anywhere safe. Does the management know this YES do they care NOPE! They just tow your car to Delaware, Ohio and leave you complete stranded. I'm a current resident and trust me, Don't waste your time moving here.
