About an hour inland from Savannah, Statesboro is a charming small city steeped in history and culture. With Georgia Southern University occupying the south side, the college town atmosphere extends well beyond the campus with 20,000 enrolled students heavily influencing the city’s cultural landscape. The city’s Downtown district features countless examples or beautifully preserved architecture, with historic storefronts housing unique specialty shops and restaurants of every description, particularly clustered around the intersection of Main and Main (where North, South, East and West Main Streets come together).
The Statesboro Mall on the east side anchors the city’s larger retail district, with more shopping centers found along Fair Avenue near the Georgia Southern campus. Rental rates in Statesboro tend to be quite affordable, making life a little easier for folks on a budget.

Property Ratings at The Renaissance
I lived at The Renaissance recently and have nothing but great things to say about the property. The room and bathroom were both spacious. The staff was always willing to help and the maintenance team always fixed an issue in a timely manor.
I've lived here at The Renaissance for 2 years and never thought about living anywhere else in Statesboro. The location is convenient for any college student because the shuttles take you to campus so I never had to drive my car to campus or pay for parking pass. Also the best night life is literally a 1 minute walk away. The staff here is persistent finding a solution for their residents . Overall great experience here
I am so glad that I decided to stay at The Renaissance for many reasons: maintenance responds to work orders so quickly and the entire staff is so friendly and helpful. I was new to the area and had no clue what Statesboro had to offer and they provided me with so much information. Another amazing perk of living here is the location I can walk to campus and do not have to worry about being late because of the bus. I love my time here and cannot wait for another year here at The Renaissance!
This is not a good community to live in. The Staff is shady, they lie, maintenance never gets done. They cover up shootings in the neighborhood and overall have no understanding with their residents,, your privacy will be violated, they will hit you with unreasonable fees. please do not move here.
A lot of shooting and towing residents cars yet when they have a party and people take parking spaces that residents pay for they don’t do anything about it. This is not somewhere where you want to live for duration in college.
The Renaissance Apartment homes are very affordable and a great place to live. Who woudn't want to live on the middle of campus? The maintenance guys are very helpful and on time to fix any problem I had, for example, my ac somehow made water damage on my room door, as soon I informed the guys in the office they were right on it. Mr. King made sure everything was squared away for my apartment, and Ms. Ashley keep me updated on everything with my apartment. Everyone were rather determind to get me in my new home. Our gym and pool area are wonderful places to chill out around and be with your roommates. The room areas are bigger than most places on campus. Before you choose any other place beside The Renaissance make sure you guys stop by and check us out. Hope to see you guys around. (:
The proptiey is great there could be a few changes in the commitiy as in locals but over all its been a pleasent stay
The renaissance gives you the luxury of being able to walk to class or the bus stop as a Georgia Southern Student. Even the local schools bus stops right outside the complex. They are pet friendly and try to know all residents by name. The apartment space is very large for the cost. Though the closet space in the bedroom could be larger there is plenty room for an a night stand and dresser for extra storage. I live with a shared bathroom and its great becuase you only share shower and toliet space; you get your own vanity. I love being able to watch tv while I am cooking in the kitchen with the bar space opening up into the living room. The pool space and on site gym are a wonderful amentiy to Renaissance living. The only negative I could say is there is a slight bug problem but living so close to a wooded area with the likelyhood of increased moisture its always possible. Thought the complex does have monthly pest control so it works out. If you are looking for an affordable place to live close to campus the renaissance is a great place to live!
Do not expect anything to get fixed. Repair go months without being addressed. You can inspect your privacy to be invaded and to have unsubstantiated overages not to mention the parties and drug activity.
Party central. I woke up one morning and found the DEA running a sting in the building across from me. ALWAYS people walking around the parking lot, but everyone is nice. Just a bunch of college kids. Never used the pool or the fitness center, but the electricity was good, kept it pretty cool and never saw any overages.
Great up coming community that's for college students. Great affordable rates without breaking the bank.
