Property Ratings at The Reserve at Abilene
I lived at the Reserve for two years, and had a great experience. The apartments are very well maintained, and I enjoyed my time living there. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever I needed anything.

I needed a larger place for my daughters and I and we absolutely love it here! The washer and dryer is the best thing and maintenance did a great job on my apartment and is very helpful!
The office staff is so amazing. The apartments are so beautiful and the property is as well. Definitely moving here in February.

Hello, thank you for the review and the kind words!! We can't wait to officially welcome you! The Reserve Team
This place is so dope. I have lived here for about half of a year, and man, it has been lavish livin'. Aside from the beautiful layout and exterior of the complex, it has many features that make it unpassable. Some of which include: a very nice pool located in the center of the complex, a gym with a very wide assortment of machines and weights (open 24/7), and even a tanning bed (if ya like stuff like that lol). Overall, it is welll worth what you pay, I def recommend

Thank you so much for the kind words! The Reserve Team
The apartment itself is okay but the staff is terrible. They harass you and talk down to you.

Military members beware! We signed a lease electronically as we were moving from another state. When we arrived at the apartment complex to pick up our keys and move in (had a Uhaul trailer and cars full of belongings) they make you sign an additional paper that says that you will pay to repaint the apartment and clean the carpets upon move out. In all our years of living in different apartments in different states we have never had to sign such a document. That is considered normal wear and tear on a place. Had we known that these were their terms we would have never signed a lease. We had no choice to sign this document as it was a Saturday and had no other place to move to. We only lived in the apartment for six months (while we were building a house). Upon move out we were charged over $100 for a "full paint job" even though we had pointed out scuffs on walls on our move-in sheet. They will do WHATEVER they can to keep your deposit. We left the apartment in better condition than when we moved in. While we were discussing this additional document that had to be signed a police officer walked in and asked to see the security camera tapes as someones car had been keyed and they wanted to see if the tapes showed anything. The girl working in the office said that the cameras do not work. Another red flag, especially considering the security gate never worked during our entire 6 month stay. Additionally, the trash area was usually overflowing with trash as there is only one dumpster for the entire complex. Look elsewhere!
Overall I like the reserve. It is one of the nicest in Abilene and one of the few that actually provides a washer/dryer in the unit which was a deal breaker for me when visiting other complexes. However the gates that are touted as added safety for the complex are perpetually broken. In addition the pool is down for maintenance all of the time. In the middle of the summer, holiday weekends, etc. It is frustrating to not be able to utilize this service. The price is on the high end of the town and you expect to be able to utilize all of the amenities. I enjoyed the covered parking, quick response to fix in-unit issues and the newness of the facility as a whole. I would recommend it to other people but just be mindful that it has some flaws as well.

I recently moved in and I absolutely love it! It's a peaceful community and I feel really safe being there!
After living here for almost a year, I have been very pleased with every aspect of this apartment complex. the staff is very friendly and always willing to help and work with their residence. Any maintenance requests I have submitted have been taken care of in a timely fashion. The staff works hard to meet your needs and help with anything they can. I love living here!
We have enjoyed living here for the last year and a half. It is a very quiet and clean community. Maintenance is quick to fix any issues we have had and the office staff is very friendly. We love the pool and the volleyball court. We looked at several apartments before we chose the Reserve and none of them can compare. Liz W.
I've currently lived here for a year. Three years ago we moved to live on base, but had lived here for 2 years prior to that. When separating from the military a year and half ago we tried a different apartment complex thinking we'd save a little money. But, not only did they nickel and dime us for every little thing (like covered parking and laundry), but the complex was not as nice, not gated, not as safe, and maintenance never fixed issues. For the same rent, we were able to move back here after that short lease was up. We love it here. We have a covered parking space and a nice, well lit apartment. We have 2 dogs. And while apartment living with dogs is a strain, we have no lack of places to walk them. The Reserve has several dog clean up areas and always has baggies well stocked. Maintenance has always been quick to provide service for us and I feel safe walking my dogs at night by myself. There are also lights on the side of the buildings. I can't think of one drawback with these apartments. The Reserve will be home for us as long as we are in Abilene. They have earned our business.
I just resigned another lease after living at THE RESERVE APARTMENTS for one year! I'm very impressed with the management, there's prompt attention to any concerns. The inside of the apartments are Modern & the most Upscale in Abilene. I've found The Reserve to be a very quiet, well maintained property. I would highly recommend The Reserve Apartments to anyone! I am new to Abilene and checked out many apartment complexes and found most to small and some even depressing. As soon as I visited The reserve I didn't need to look any further. The apartment is well lit with sunshine, along with space and very clean. When I first saw the apt. It didn't look like it had been lived in. I also find it very quite. The staff are a pleasure to talk to and a willingness to listen to should you have a problem. I find it a pleasure to live. N.Karp
