Hagerstown, MD, is the county seat of Washington County in the western region of the state and Maryland's 18th largest city. Covering an area of 12.91 square miles, the community has a population of 40,638 residents. The city is in close proximity to Frederick, Mount Airy and Westminster, MD. The state of Maryland was one of the country's original colonies, and settlers who arrived in 1736 in western Maryland, then considered a wilderness, were offered land at a very small cost as an enticement to persuade these newcomers to settle in this attractive region
The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, located in Hagerstown's historic City Park, has been praised for being one of the leading small museums in the country. It offers a surprisingly broad variety of fine arts exhibitions for viewers of all ages, housing over 7,000 works of art representing worldwide artists and cultures. The Maryland Theatre is a central feature of the Arts and Entertainment district of the city.

Property Ratings at The Reserve at Collegiate Acres
In the townhouse/villa area people park illegally all over the street and also block the sidewalks with their cars. One resident runs their business out of their rented villa which would be ok except when the commercial trucks are loading and unloading and blocking the sidewalk and the street. There is trash everywhere. A large number of stray cats are around as well as residents who let their cats run at large through the neighborhood peeing on everything. Lots of small unleashed dogs pooping everywhere in the apartment area as well as the villa area and the owners don't clean it up, one large black dog runs around off leash and aggressively barks at people so you can't use the patio or feel safe going for a walk. Other people tie their dogs out for long periods of time.
Safe, clean, and very good service. I don't normally leave reviews but I had a good experience all the way through. The maintenance team here is just the best.
This is a very nice place to live, EXCEPT THE NOISE. I really enjoyed the convenience of this apartment to the interstate and the nice layout inside, but you can eavesdrop on the other tenants beside and below’s conversations. This was a little distracting and interrupting at times; however, If you don’t mind hearing people talk, yell, kids screaming and loud foot prints from walking then it isn’t too bad. Also, the property management are super responsive to questions/break fix problems.
Where to begin? These apartments are the absolute best for the price in Hagerstown! All buildings are secured and locked with multiple cameras around the complex, so you feel safe 24/7. The apartments themselves are extremely spacious and up to date with all of the appliances. Not to mention all apartments include its own full size washer and dryer (big win!) The property manager is very sweet and always readily available for any questions or problems you may have. I’ve never had a single problem with noisy neighbors which is very convenient since I work night shift. The clubhouse and gym/pool are always well kept and clean and usually not very busy. The price tag may seem intimidating at first but I promise it is worth every penny!
It seems every other apartment complex around town is just that....a complex. I live here and it has a ton of amenities and has secure entry with electronic access which I like. Many apartments have garages attached but mine does not though I wish it did. I use the clubhouse and gym late since I work second shift and it is 24 hours a day. Aside form getting neighbors to clean up after their dogs I have no complaints.
This is the loudest place to live. You hear everything below you if you are on the third floor. Neighbors do not care about anyone around them. The apartments are nice though.
