It's an older apartment community but well kept. The grounds are clean and landscaped, simple yet nicely. The resident parking availability needs considerable work( not enough permit spaces). Especially since the office staff apparently are not allowed to park in "their" reserved spaces. But I'm sure they are working on this matter since they are always there to help. It's a nice place to live.
I have lived here since August 2023 and it has been the absolute worse experience ever. They advertise a washer and dryer in unit plus washer and dryers on property. Well I have had to have my washer and dryer replaced a minimum of 5 times which each time has taken multiple weeks to get replaced. After moving in they never came in and fixed or replaced any of the things on the move in sheet like they stated they would. Everytime I have spoken to the manager they said they would get it fixed but never did. SO DO NOT LIVE HERE!
Great location! Quiet Community. The staff is extremely helpful, very professional and polite. They go above and beyond when answering questions and responding to maintenance requests. They take pride in what they do! Thank you Kaitlin and Walt for everything you do!
Outdated, horrible parking, shootings, not pet friendly, no pool, not a very friendly community, maintenance will do the bare minimum, thin walls, I can keep going but I hope this can help a family out.
Great place to live! Conveniently located around stores, and interstate
I was went through the process of moving in into an apartment. I was told that the tenants were leaving and it was being cleaned and prepared for my move in. I had done everything they asked with the promise that i would be moving in soon, but a week before I was supposed to move in they told me that they preleased it to me and the tenants gave them a 60 day notice but because the tenants decided not to move I no longer have a place to move into. I am currently in a bad situation and needed to move out and now my time is wasted and i’m stuck because of their lack of communication so if you are thinking about moving here, I would think about wether you would even get a chance before they waste your money and time.
I have lived in this apartment for a year and a few months. When I moved in, things were okay, but have quickly gone downhill. Maintenance has never been timely, has always come in without permission if you don’t answer the door, and never wore masks, even at the height of the pandemic. They have since replaced the main problem of the maintenance team, but the current person is pushing for 5 star reviews after each visit, despite not thoroughly communicating, not properly fixing appliances, and ignoring our calls. The noise also is pretty bad, the walls are very thin and you can hear all the music your neighbours play. My biggest problem is the parking situation. There are not a lot of spots, and people will take them fast. I requested a handicap parking spot nearly 6 months ago, and it took them 4 to get the sign out. They kept making numerous excuses, and saying they had it scheduled. This either wasn’t true or the towing company is also problematic, because there were times we saw the towing company come but not put the spot out. They replaced all of the handicap signs without adding new spots, and the office said they had no idea they didn’t put new signs out because they were supposed to. Well the spot was put in recently, and I finally got to park in it. At least until another resident got a new handicap placard and started parking in the spot. When I talked to the office, they said there isn’t anything they can do about it accept add another handicap spot, which they said they would do last month when a guest kept parking in the spot. I feel like these people really don’t care about my health and wellbeing, and that they expect three people to share two handicap spots. I already had to wait months for it first, and now I have to wait even longer. I truly do not mean to be revengeful, but I feel as though there are so many issues with this apartment complex and the people that reside here. This isn’t even to mention repeatedly noisy neighbours, the roach infestation, and the poor integrity of our cheap appliances.
No amenities work….1000s from people and not one laundry room works, pool hasn’t opened in years and saying they won’t open, maintenance no where to be found office hanging up on people when asked about fixing things or opening things…rent amount never the same they will laugh when asked why they do nothing but answer the phone and ask like they care or are working do not waste your money
I lived in these apartments for a little over a year and I had a peaceful stay all throughout. I didn't run to any issues with maintenance or admin. You definitely get what you pay for as they have the cheapest rent among the other apartments nearby. It's no luxury apartment but it is well-kept and I felt safe around my neighbors.
Wonderful place. Quiet and no issues. The rent is below others on the same street. I'm staying here until I buy a house of my own. Zero complaints. Office is very nice.
The management of these apartments are horrible at getting in touch with tenants and in responding to issues. The First floor apartments flood at the slightest amount of rain and maintenance have no idea how to fix half the issues that occur. They will find any reason they can to refuse to renew your lease if they want to renovate the unit you are in. I personally was told that another unit would be offered to me, But weeks later they told me otherwise. Not worth the price, They may as well be renting you a cardboard box with a fresh coat of paint.
Save yourself the time and money! Do not move in here even with all the “new” and “upgraded” amenities. I lived here for 2 years and it NEVER got better. After moving in I had a 3 page list of things that needed to be fixed, they were never fixed including the dishwasher that I went to the office and complained about every week for 2 years!! They change management so frequently you never know who works in the office. The walls are paper thin so you will hear everything your neighbors do, even sneeze. The apartments are filled with ants and roaches and your pets will get fleas if their are any other animals in the building.
I have been living at The Reserve at Deer Run for a little over 1 year. When I arrived on the property, there was an air conditioning problem for many of the residence. The property hired an outside company to repair, replace and do complete overhauls on many if the air conditioning units. I can say that I have not had any problems with the air conditioner since the one time fix. The community is compiled of many hardworking residence who take pride in their community. I appreciate the staff on the property as they are professional and polite. I signed another year least and have two friends who have rented a apartment in this community. Thanks for All YOU Do!!!!!
I guess you get what you pay for. Haven't had hot water in my apartment for months and no follow through or proper response. Critters in the walls. Leaky windows, turning moldy. Now I gotta go to the housing authority which is a pain for everyone. Stay far away from this rat nest.
We moved in in April there was no AC in the apartment, no sceens to open the windows and a 2 page list of other problems. Within 2 weeks the tile on the bathtub wall fell off. We have called, emailed, and gone to the office weekly if not daily. The AC finally got fixed after a month and half, after buying a window unit. The Bathroom has mold growing in it and the tile just got put back up after 5 months. The office staff is rude and there is no maintenance. The neighbors are nice and helpful that is the only reason I would give this place one star.
You do not want to live here. Maintenance is very poorly ran. Heating and air is about the only thing you will get fixed, but they might steal something if your not home. They stole money out of my children's room. Water leaks wont get fixed, outlets sparking for a year not fixed, lights wont work unless you smack the wall, oh well just smack the wall, sewage backing up into your bathtub, oh we cant fix that its too expensive we will just keep snaking drains. When work orders are put in they are closed out by management even though no work has been done. They dont want corporate to see a back log. They lady in the office that has somehow become a manager is the rudest person i have ever dealt with as a customer. Any issue you come in there with she will find a way to either make it your fault or flat out lie to you. she is very condescending and has no customer service skills what so ever. She treats residents as if they are interrupting her day no matter how nice you are to her. She will never admit any wrongdoing on their part and will lie to get you out of the office. if you go over her head she will harass you about deposits or other issues claiming she cant find the paperwork and want you to pay again even though you moved in years ago. she has done that to several neighbors as well not just us. Ive had to call codes and compliance and have them make the company fix things because they just dont do it. constant excuses about how there are residents with much bigger issues that are more important. That is the response I got when asking for months about my ceiling that was about to cave in from a water leak. Walls covered in mold from the leak? not a big issue we will get to it when we get to it. Do not give these people your money, you will regret it. Also these pics on here look nothing like the actual units. they have a model that looks nice and tell you thats what you will get but like most of my neighbors I got the ol bait and switch when i moved in. They refused to give me the keys until the day I moved in using the excuse they were working on the unit. Then the day I move in im told the unit was already rented out and put in a unit nothing like what I was shown. Old nasty cabinets, no vanities in bathrooms, old ugly stained floors, nasty tub. Had to spend half the day cleaning before I could move in. I was promised the new stuff and never got it. Stay away from here
Husband and I just recently moved in..... the unit we looked at had no screens on the windows, a completely broken window, and a closet still unfinished..... since they had just renovated we didn’t think anything of it as they told us it would be fixed before we moved in that weekend. The weekend came it wasn’t fixed they told us they would have maintenance in on Monday....... NEVER happened. A MONTH later and maintenance has never showed up at our door, our heating and air doesn’t work, we currently have a hole through our roof curtisty of a squirrel, our sink doesn’t drain so we have to use our kitchen one, half the outlets don’t work, and the closet is still unfinished. Don’t get me wrong. It is a GREAT place if you want to break out your screens and windows, hear extremely loud music all hours of the night, and have your neighbors shouting and smoking up the whole complex bc there are 20 people in a two bed apartment. They may be renovating, but the lack of maintenance is apaulling, especially when all the renovations have only been halfway completely and done. Wish I would have read the reviews before we signed
This place have giving me nothing but a headache. When I first moved I. The lady In the office and I made an agreement. Later down the line they contact me about it and they deny there was ever an agreement.so they clearly are some liers and the manager is doing everything in her power to back up that lie. Also I put in a order for a few things to be fixed not even three days into the apartment and going on three months nothing yet. The plumping is horrible you have to flush it three times. There is an ant problem. There is bugs every where. The hallways are very dirty. The pool was never opened they lied again and emailing the lady in the office she was extremely rude. These people are really full of it. I should have knew something was not right when I was in the office and another resident told me not to move out there. I only been here three months and I am moving. To anyone moving out here good luck!!!! Every single resident out there has problems that I have spoken to about this place. They will jam you up in paper work. Document everything because the lady in the office will lie even if she said anything to your face she will lie thats what they seem to do best. Get you In the door then they got u
They are not fixing anything. There is a drug dealer on each court, maintance comes and go with out letting you know and steal. The actual apartment is beat up an old everything is rusted and falling apart my friend who woulds for the city said the way everything is inside the apartment the "new management " should be fined an shut down.
We lived out here for a year from Nov 2014 to Sept 2015, in what I thought was a good area. Little did I know right after we signed for our lease there was a shooting and then a few months later there was another resulting in a death of a fellow buddy who had went to school with us. Anytime we had a maintenance concern it was never addressed or we had to wait. We had a leaking sink for a few days, broken peek hole for our entry door that was never fixed, and dry rot in our bedroom that nobody did anything about, and the laundry facilities would either be completely broken, or slightly working (water would come up that drain thing making the floor nasty so you had to be careful not to drop clean clothes and you'd always would have to dry your clothes twice). The neighbors were alright until our next door ones druggies moved in, we could hear them when they'd come home at night (like around 11pm to 1am) talking about who they were going to get weed from, and how much acid they had taken, etc.. Management had changed twice while we were there, and during our last month we were told they couldn't find our lease and info because the computer systems changed (even though when we did our signings they kept a hard copy). Also while we were preparing our move out during our last few weeks, the maintenance decided they would steal our stuff, in which the office lied to us first saying it couldn't have been them because they keep a log of that, they did come back with a few of our belongings but because of that we should have been allowed to break our lease early since we didn't feel safe. And management didn't really want to approve that so they made us play the waiting game for a few more days till one of them approved it. I asked them about our deposit and they said that we would get it back with just the water taken out. It took us 4 months to receive our deposit back and when we did they not only took out the water bill out but a whole half of our deposit. We were told by former residents that we were lucky to even get that so we decided to let things be and try to forget the terrible lies and deceit we had been through and continue our happy lives. Pros-decent price, no/few bugs, ok area (sort of) Cons-Management changes/lies, maintenance doesn't keep on top of things, terrible laundry facilities , chance of bad neighbors (do they not do background checks properly?), and parking is odd (there was quite a few nights I couldn't park in front of my building)
Overall a quiet environment, friendly neighbors , nice pool , a great place for children and or dogs. They're many cons and pros. Certainly clean apartment . No bugs or unwanted animals around. Also cons, lights are out in certain parts of the conplexs can't really see your key when you try to get inside. If I had to say what was the most frustrating thing would be the spray painted stove and the black grime on the shower wall. Sometimes their may be laundry difficulty but the whole experience is about a 6.
