For over half a century, Huntsville has been associated with the development and testing of rockets for space exploration. This idyllic community in the Appalachian foothills of northern Alabama is a powerhouse of high-tech innovation for both civilian and military applications, with Redstone Arsenal, Cummings Research Park, and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center driving the local economy. Living in the Huntsville area, you are likely to hear sounds from helicopters and rocket engines on a fairly regular basis.
The city’s intellectual values extend into the local schools as well, which are among the best in the state. But even though the city is home to such a large and unique scientific community, Huntsville retains a timeless atmosphere of Southern charm. Beautiful historic architecture is all around, especially in the Twickenham and Old Town Historic Districts.
Huntsville offers an array of apartments and houses available for rent in every style and budget imaginable.

Property Ratings at The Reserve at Fairway Hills
Once I first moved to the apartments in 2020 it was a good experience once the new apartment manager took charge the complex went downhill! She’s extremely unprofessional and does not care about her residents! So please be careful if you’re interested in these raggedy apartments.

When I move in these apartments they were and the workers were pleasant back in 2019. Through 2019-2022 there staff changed they became more unprofessional I lived in an apartment for 3 years and the people never gave me Windows screens after promising me that they would order me some. Had plenty water leaks that they were slow to fix. And when I moved out . They charged me with all kinds of charges. The fri t office hung up on me and wouldn’t give there names.

I toured several available units before I found the one that was just right. The management staff were very understanding and helpful in my quest. They must have had some maintenance staff change because some of the units were in pretty poor condition while the one I settled on was pretty nice. The move on process was quick and easy. So far, everything seems great. The maintenance staff was friendly but not particularly talented; but, if you're even slightly handy, that shouldn't be a problem.
The Townhouses are cute, and cheap for the Huntsville area. I have lived here almost two years, and over the last year it has been in a steady and rapid decline, plus I can foresee the rent skyrocketing to prices that mean you should look for a better place. My rent spiked over almost $200 in just a year, while nothing was improved and the neighborhood got increasingly worse. Including a leak in the main waterline which lead to flooded parking lots and grassy areas, potholes, and shootings in the surrounding neighborhoods that are managed by the same company. Management is not helpful and maintenance is severely lacking. Less than a week after moving in, my kitchen flooded because the AC drip pan was over flowing. Maintenance tried to tell me my floors were "floated in, and that is residual water from that process"- seriously. Then my apartment was infested with German Cockroaches and I had to call the office everyday and send pictures of the insects in every corner nook and cranny of the apartment, just to get them to send the pest control company in. Currently I am having to call the office every day to see if they have bothered to check out the air conditioning that is not cooling the upper floor. I reported it to maintenance more than 10 days ago. 10 very hot days ago. When I did get the property manager on the line, she told me that the upper level is 85 degrees because "heat rises and that is just normal". I have lived in townhouses for 10+ years and I have never had issues like this before, in fact even last year I didn't have this issues in this exact same townhouse. SO I know this is not normal. I mentioned I think there could be a rodent in the AC duct work, because I can hear it scurrying around, pest control came out the next day, but said he could not look into the duct work All of this on top of the "normal apartment life woes" - like loud neighbors and people not cleaning up after themselves or their pets. It is honestly too many problems for far too much money. All in all, I think it is clear I will not be signing another lease here, and I strongly advise anyone who thinks they might to look closely at the reviews and the neighborhood before you do.
Nastiest apartment I have ever stayed in! Pest control in this area is horrible! Pest issues as in roaches! Maintenance team don’t put enough effort in their work! If I could rate this place a -20 I would! Never ever stay here! Not a home at all! You would not be able to live with roach problems! I could not cook in the kitchen or wanted company to come over due to big issues! Also, told property owners about situation they do not care! Also stayed her for a 9 month period, they took deposit over nothing and even when I expressed the bug issues nothing was resolved or manger never cared
This is a bad property to live that they increase your rent without telling you when it going tell your rent they just do it that don't fix anything in your apartment for the money you are paying for take a whole month for them to cut the grass out here on the property bad siding Roofing shingle coming off gutter to most of the patios and decks are dry-rotted Park hot food a pothole it get dark out here not proper lighting at night time no security the pool don't even stay open no more no amenities pothole all on the property when it rains heavy take a whole week for the water drain out around here guess it's just a money hungry property
My family had a very unpleasant stay at TR@FH. First of all, there were gun shots in the neighborhood on multiple occasions. Police were in the neighborhood all the time. That makes this place completely unacceptable if you have kids. Next, there were pests ALL over and inside the complex. The complex wont do anything to resolve this. Lastly, the tenant above us leaked water all into our unit. Complex kicked their heels to repair it properly, and just painted over the water damage (Cheap way out), so then the mold set in to where we could not even use one of our bedrooms that we paid for. I petitioned the complex to be able to move out of the unit before our lease end because of all of these problems, and they declined and chose to "Stick to the lease agreement". Which includes the early termination fee, etc, etc. So I figured the world should know about the conditions at TR@FH. Renter beware!

Dear Mr. Rundell: You previously offered to give us a 5 star review in exchange for a rent waiver, which we declined. We have no reports or evidence of crime, mold, or pests in your apartment, though we took your claims very seriously. We have a no-questions-asked lease break policy. In this case, you rented an apartment with us while you were looking to buy a house, and you never unpacked your belongings. When you found a house 3 weeks into your lease, you began to threaten us with bad reviews if we didn't waive your rent and other fees. We try to be fair and reasonable with our residents, but we are not a substitute for a hotel. Sincerely, Reserve at Fairway Hill
My daughter lives in this complex as she is a college student. This is her first apt living alone she use to live in the dorms and she shouldve stayed there!! She jas a problem with ants and roaches. Her bathroom is very outdated and the tub is horrible very small narrow and no matter how much you wash it it still looks dingy!!! I was visiting from Chicago and couldnt take a bath. She will be moving out ASAP!! Please be careful..
While I didn’t get the chance to move in, I can speak highly of their ability to consistently respond promptly, emails and questions. Ashleigh followed up on every promise she made on time and with professionalism. Being that I am operating from another State, these things are extremely important. She the made the process very smooth and easy. The service I received was top notch.
I lived at The Reserve at Fairway Hills for 3 years while saving to purchase a house and I loved it. I have recommended it to my friends and family. My town home was very spacious and since I work at Crestwood Hospital it was a very convenient location. I could drive to work in 5 minutes! The office staff is awesome and always attended to my every need. These are great apartments!

I have lived at The Reserve at Fairway Hills for 5 years and really enjoy my town home. The location is awesome! I work on Redstone Arsenal and gate one is just right down the street. The staff is very friendly! I would recommend if you are looking for a place to live to check them out very affordable also!

Thank you for the nice review. We really appreciate it. Everyone loves our townhomes! They are huge. We are glad that our community met your needs and was so convenient to everything you wanted and needed. Thanks again for the review!
6 moths with no lights in parking lots because they were understaffed. Roach, mice, and wasp infested. Black mold. They fix nothing and claim no problems. There was a flood that was their fault, didn't replace the carpet and then charged me for carpet replacement when I moved. Sabrina the office manager is a liar and vindictive. Basically don't rent here in a bad neighborhood and expect anything but horrible conditions.
Property Manager at The Reserve at Fairway Hills, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the review. We take our reviews seriously and want to correct and address any concerns our residents have. The parking lot lighting is maintained by the electric company. If you are aware of any lights that are out, please let us know. We will contact the power company immediately. Our pest control vendor is onsite every week to address any pest control concerns. Anyone who calls in for service is serviced that week. We are sorry that you were unhappy with your move out charges. We only charge for those items that are resident damage. Normal wear and tear is to be expected. We love feedback and thank you for sharing your thoughts.
