Even before Erie was officially founded in 1795, the city’s location made it a desirable destination. The miles of shoreline, the beaches, and the beauty of Lake Erie continues to attract new residents to the city to this day. If you are one of the many moving to Erie, get ready for an adventure. Erie is known for outdoor activities, such as swimming and boating, and is home to the best freshwater beach in the country: Presque Isle State Park. The park features 13 beaches, a marina, and 21 miles of trails. The park also contains the Presque Island Lighthouse, built in 1872, and the extensive Tom Ridge Environmental Center.
Presque Isle State Park also offers year-round activities, from summers spent canoeing, swimming, water-skiing, and hiking to winters where ice skating, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing reign supreme.

Property Ratings at The Reserve at Millcreek
I've resided at the Reserve for only a few months and have had an overwhelmingly negative experience. The Good: The apartment is spacious, with plenty of natural light and a nice balcony. Proximity to Peach Street makes commuting and errands convenient. Rent is reasonable and easy to pay online. However, you're required to pay $65 a month for their internet plan, which includes some Spectrum streaming services. The internet started off stable but has become unreliable over time. The Bad: Safety has been a major concern here. I've frequently witnessed disturbing incidents, such as screaming and physical altercations, occurring at all hours both in neighboring units and the parking lot. This has significantly impacted my ability to sleep. There have also been multiple reports of package thefts, as the mailboxes are easily accessible from the outside. Additionally, I’ve had uncomfortable encounters with strangers inquiring to find out about owners of cars in the parking lot. Worst of all, someone climbed onto my balcony in the middle of the night after locking themselves out. The thin doors in each unit allow for constant noise from neighbors, which further compromises any privacy and comfort you may wish for. The complex is lacking in cleanliness and maintenance. Trash, including dog waste left in bags, is often found outside building entrances and in the parking lot. The buildings frequently smell of cigarette smoke, and there’s a persistent roach infestation that hasn’t been properly addressed. Since moving in, I’ve encountered roaches throughout my unit and in the hallways, suggesting a recurring issue that hasn’t been adequately addressed. While initially excited about the apartment, the safety and maintenance concerns make it a negative experience. Potential renters should be aware of these issues and weigh them before making a decision
Went to do a tour already knowing through the fire service that the place has issues. Had to do a self guided tour. First apartment building smelled like weed and had no directions to the rooms. 2nd one, the keys they gave use went to the third floor, when the apartment was in the basement so we couldn’t even find or see the apartment. There was also exposed wires right in the entrance. We left immediately after this.

Average apartment community. Current management has made several upgrades over the past several years. There are still things that can be improved. When some projects are started, it does take several weeks and/or months for them to get completed. A perfect example is new patio decks for everyone. I was told back in 2018 I would have a new patio deck by the end of the year. I’m still waiting. Landscaping is maintained on a daily basis. Snow plowing and snow removal during the winter can be better. If you submit a maintenance order, some requests take a long time to get taken care of. The apartment complex is close to a major retail district and interstate highways. It is relatively a quiet community with some annoyances here and there. Management could be more transparent with their tenants. Common areas in my building specifically could be improved for the better. But it is an improvement to what was here when I first moved in.

DO NOT RENT HERE EVER!!! I have lived in 2 separate units in 18 months and have had nothing but problems. From 2 hot water tanks exploding and collasping ceilings to paying $400 in electric for 4 months before they would even fix the problem. Multiple leaks from sliding glass door to rotted floors draining water from the unit above me. They only slap a bandaid and never fix the issue. Management does not care and will do the cheapest, easiest way to repair any problem. I beg you to never rent here so no one has to go through the hell I have had to.
Love my apartment! This location is super close to many fun and essential stores. Great walking distance to almost anything! The staff is very nice and helps as quick as possible. Maintenance is quick and efficient as well! The whole team works well and wants to make it a growing and safe community

Thank you for the wonderful review! We appreciate you sharing with others why you love living in our community. Our staff strives to provide a place that residents are proud to call home!
Great ownership. Friendly, personable staff. Takes concerns seriously.
The sense of being safe and having quiet while living here is appreciated, especially when you come home from business of the day. The location is close to Presque Isle State Park, worship, shopping, dining, public transportation, culture, and...much more.
I lived in this apartment complex (then known as "Granada") for a couple of years when I first moved to Erie in 2003. It was a nice place back then...but it was nothing like today! Today, it's updated with with many improvements! It's a safe place to live and the staff is friendly, courteous and resonds quickly to even the most minor concerns!
Signing a new lease soon, the people are always easy to deal with. If you're looking for a place in Erie it's a great option.
I really enjoy living at The Reserve. My apartment is cozy and comfortable. They have made many nice upgrades to the complex and grounds and are planning more. I also love how quiet it is at night, but conveniently located near many restaurants and shopping centers.
We have been here 3 years now the management team has been wonderful. The 2 bedroom apartment is affordable. They are quick to respond to any maintenance request. EIT is within walking distance and my now husband was able to complete 2 programs there.
I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. The Reserve is not only a home, but it’s a community. I would recommend anyone to move into this glorious complex. Plus it’s in the epic center of great food and stores.
The apartments are pretty big in size ! commercial mall is in walk able distance . Very nice Locality . Management folks are very friendly and honest in showing the best deals . 5/5 Stars*.
The Reserve is a nice area where owners are taking care of it and all improving the place. The area is great , close to stores but away from them.
I love this place and have been here for 2 years. I am student and the cost is affordable. I prefer to room by myself. My neighbors are quiet and the place is constantly getting updates. If you have any issue maintenance are very fast and does the work very well.
The apartments are nice, updated, and very affordable especially in the location. Love living here!
I'm a medical student and The Reserve at Millcreek is perfect in location, price, and utilities provided. They even gave me a discount for being a student! highly recommend.
The new management is wonderful, always come when you need maintenance, and the updates are looking modern. The complex is well taken care of. Highly recommend it! Renewing my lease for another year!
The apartments are new, the locality is nice and the service is pretty good as well. The management guys, especially Justin is extremely helpful.
I love my apartment!!!! It has all new flooring, kitchen cupboards and a new balcony. I remember when it was Granada, but new ownership has really made so many changes that the place feels safe, clean and updated. My place is super cute;) I'd recommend to take a look and make it your home sweet home!
No issues since moving here. Constant updating and upgrading apartments which is great, only complaint is it can get a little loud at times. Management is quick to resolve any maintenance issues.
The reserves or as I should say the Granada’s cause nothing has changed is a piece of crap. I would not recommend anyone moving in. Especially into a town house or a basement apartment. I had mold extremely bad in the basement and all they did was come in and paint over it. As well as in the bedroom there was mold and leakage problems. They did nothing with it. The town house. The windows do not shut the back patio door don’t have any insulation. We get so many bugs inside our place. We get bees inside because there’s bee hives in our town house. Which they don’t care and won’t do anything about. It’s over priced and crappy here. The inside of town house is literally falling apart and they won’t do anything about it. They do not care. And it takes weeks for maintenance to even come and when they do there is no notice they just walk in your place without warning. That’s a big no right there. Nothing has changed. Do not waste your money renting from this horrible place.
You need to look past the sleek and shiny new place and see all the red flags along the apartment process, Some apartments whereabouts were unknown to managers/renter people, these unknowns are the efficiency apartments, they didn't even know they were on the lot or where they are at on the lot, and from there it got worse, refusal to look at applications even though they had them for weeks on end, refusal to contact and get back in a timely manner if they were to respond at all, and to seal the deal they kept changing upfront costs without offering anything to explain or to help pay the cost when it got ridiculously high, at one point asking for the first 6 months rent and last month, as well as an increased security deposit, and with all this we had to ask if we could have a cosign it was never offered to us by them. With that being said the process here took upwards of 3 weeks to even get approved and that was with our constant asking for them to look at it. To give some light on the situation at hand with the process length the apartments we found, after millcreek dragged us along for 3 weeks, took only 3 days to complete the process and have our apartment secured to move in when it got cleaned, and while this was probably rather quick, it should have at max only taken a week to have most of the process done.
These are some of the adjectives to describe the new Reserve At Millcreek. My fiance and I moved into a 2 bedroom facing the woods and love it! We have brand new carpeting, floors, freshly painted walls, new appliances, and friendly new neighbors. Katie and Andy have helped us transition into the apartment seamlessly; any time we have questions or concerns they are always quick to address them! Please, do not let past reputations deter you from The Reserve - the new owners truly are taking pride in revamping this place.
Having lived here almost a year, i can say, the staff of The Reserve at Millcreek continually commit and apply themselves to service excellence. Also, basic infrastructure and essential cosmetic work & improvement continues, inside and outside all properties. All of my area neighbors are professional, quiet and polite. The Reserve at Millcreek, a great place to call home. Thank you, Dave
Me and my husband have lived here for going on 3 years. It has definitely done and uphill climb since the beginning. Its much more organised, much easier to keep track of rent, much easier to communicate. All around a better place to live
Pompeo Susca & Michelle Kowalski are very pleased with the new parking lot & drainage systems installed! The roof improvements are GREATLY APPRECIATED! What a difference in the way The Reserve at Millcreek looks now. The staff is very helpful & your repairs & services are met promptly.
We’ve been here for 2 years now, and when we moved in the place was a disaster under the previous owners! Since those owners are gone and the new owners have taken over they’ve surely cleaned the place right up! I’m pleasantly surprised. All of the “bad” tenants are gone and there’s no more ruckus, they have completely repaved the whole entire complex so our cars are no longer being damaged by the horrid pot holes, and they have also fixed the remaining buildings that they haven’t condemned. Definitely a nice place to live now.
Reading old reviews, we were very skeptacle of moving into this new place. But knowing there was new management we gave it a try and we were not disappointed at all! The new management has been great to us, the maintenance guys are fantastic and fix things very quickly, plus they always have great deals going on for new tenants! Apartment looked brand new with new carpet, flooring, and great appliances. Neighbors are friendly and we are very glad to have chosen this place!
I have been here about 7 months now, and I plan to renew my lease when the year is up. Rent is affordable, almost everything was brand new and renovated when I moved in back in February, and my neighbors have been friendly when I have seen them around. They have done nothing but work to improve the property inside and outside of the buildings and it's turning out to be a very nice complex to live in. Maintenance staff has been great and efficient as well, making repairs and responding to anything I've needed in a timely manner.
We moved in about 3 weeks ago. Our apartment has brand new paint, carpet, oven with cook top, and above oven vent. Looks like a new wink and cabinet in the bathroom as well. So far it hasn't been excessively noisy or anything like that. The few repairs that we found upon moving in have all been fixed. most of the repairs happen next day or within a week for small stuff that has a low priority. The only complaint I have at the moment is that the hallway smells pretty bad, but I was told they will be refurbishing the hallways and staircases under the new ownership. Also, the previous tenant was definitely a smoker, so when I walk into the apartment I can smell remnants of that. But, all in all, the neighbors keep to themselves and seem friendly when I have bumped into them in the halls. Also, they have begun refurbishing the laundry rooms, which is a welcome update. there is plenty of well kept landscaping and a newly painted and pool as well.
A spaciousness I believe has enhanced my perceptions does, in fact ably link a very sociable living room with all the others: bedroom, bathroom, and modern kitchen. In it, those appliances are great, yet the electricity use can be managed. This is the idea of both efficiency and comfortable housing. Their smooth roads and very well kept grounds also, will be quite accommodating and inviting for, a long time to come.
I moved here in July and the staff have been very helpful and willing to listen to what the tenants have to say. There has been numerous great improvements, such as the roads being totally repaved and brand new laundry rooms, and other projects are underway as we speak to continue the improvement of the overall complex.
I currently live at the new and improved reserves! It’s a great place to live in the Millcreek district! My apartment has new carpets painting and an updated dishwasher! There is also a pool in the summer for kids to swim at! It’s very safe and cozy! I’m very happy living here! Lots of parking too!
Great area! Loving the new roads and how the updates are going. Very effective and convenient. Very glad to have of moved in here. Workers are friendly and helpful. Close to everything on Peach St.
Very nice place to live, they very nice people to work with, and they always are willing to fix whatever needs to be done!
The improvements the new management company are making are coming along. The roads have been paved or in the process of being paved. New landscaping has been placed. The patios do need to be replaced. The common areas do need an updated look. It’s a work in progress but I’m anxious to see what everything will look like once completed. The apartments were originally built back in the 1970s and 1980s and so they do show their age in spots. However the apartments are not that bad. The complex is close to a major retail and business district. You can beat the price for an apartment in Millcreek Township. I do wish that their was a no pet policy at all but you can’t have everything.
Nice place to live close to many things and among the bus route
Lived here for about 5 years and the changes are awesome!! Its great how things are changing... Just awesome.!!! Thank you for all your doing!!!!
I have lived here for 3 years. There has been a drastic improvement since the new owners took over. They have already made many needed repairs and just keep going. The office staff are friendly and very helpful. I have no complaints what so ever and am very glad that I stayed here.
I have lived at the Granada Apartments for almost 3 years I enjoy living here spacious Apartments since the new management has taken over things have really changed the staff and maintenance are very helpful they're making a lot of great changes in just a short time these place has come back to life .Thank you to the new owners I really appreciate all that you've done and looking forward to seeing what's next.
been here for a few yrs and since its switched over there has been improvements. its cleaner, when you need something done they do it in a timely fashion, they started paving cant wait for them to do the rest. i just got a much needed balcony door. love it. staff is friendly and willing to help with anything they can.
Repairs now done quickly by the new management. Such helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful neighborhood once again, and with new improvements going on all the time the place is really entering a second golden age. Perfect for families and singles. Wonderful location and reasonably priced for such a great place.
I've lived here almost 6 years and I've seen more improvements to the property in the past month than I've seen since at any other time since I've lived here. It's convenient to have Peach Street around the corner with easy access to everything it has to offer and I would recommend it as a nice place to live again...
I want to say thank you for allowing me to have my dogs as Therapy dogs while living at Granada. I really appreciate that. Thank you.
The staff at Granada is wonderful! They are very helpful in answering any questions and always greet you with a friendly smile. The maintenance workers are always on site to address any problems! The location is great with shopping, restaurants and the Millcreek Mall within blocks! I love the awesome school district for my kids!
I recently rented a beautiful clean and updated apartment for a great price from Granada. So far so good. After hearing mixed reviews I was surprised to see how well the apartments are. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a 2bedroom to come check it out, I love the privacy and atmosphere up here.
Lived here for 3 years hardly had any problems with anything.
I've been a resident of Granada Apartments for more than a year. New ownership has shown a commitment to the property and tenants. Improvements are already happening! Management on premises and easy to reach. Rent is very reasonable - a great value. Secure building and laundry facilities on the premises. Location is a plus -- easy access to shopping and entertainment and on the bus line.
I am really happy that Granada is under new management. They have started making improvements and taking care of the place, including hallways and laundry rooms. In the four years I've lived here I've never had problems with maintenance requests and the office staff has always been helpful. My building is quiet and the location is perfect.
