What began as a resort getaway for the Low Country elite in the 19th century has blossomed into a thriving community on the outer edge of the Charleston area. Countless buildings in town have been added to the National Register of Historic Places, so the local architecture definitely contributes to the charming atmosphere.
The town has experienced massive growth since the 1980s, meaning many of the apartments and homes are fairly new, and the cost of living is very affordable compared to many places closer to the city. Only about 30 minutes to downtown Charleston via I-26, it’s a great place for commuters to call home. Parents will appreciate the terrific local schools and family-friendly events like the annual Flowertown Festival.

Property Ratings at The Reserve at Wescott
So yeah there was a lot of BLACK MOLD in my apartment. I sent a service request so that maintenance could come look at the mold and go through the right channels to get it fixed. They looked at the black mold looked me in the face and said "it's just algae. Don't worry about it" ... Y'all. I don't get sick often. Maybe once a year. I got sick EVERY SINGLE MONTH. MULTIPLE TIMES. And I got sick worse than when I had covid. I lost so many work days because of the black mold very obviously growing in the cracks around the windows that got a lot of condensation. Speaking of condensation, the people at the office always spoke down to me and were very condescending. I never enjoyed having to talk to the office people. Also, the maintenance people were not good at their job. I'm sorry, but there were so many issues I needed maintenance for, and they never even did half of the things. The other half was shoddy work. Overall, the one star is well deserved. I can't think of a single positive thing about living there. It was dirty, uncared for, moldy, and the people who worked there were rude.

The Reserve at Wescott is a beautiful property to live. The past 16 years, I have enjoyed living here. There are ups and downs at any place. But, If there are any issues here, the team will promptly do whatever it takes to remedy those issues to the best of their capabilities. I've been satisfied with their care and assistance. Thank you.
The Reserve at Wescott is a very peaceful place, our apartment is in great condition, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the exercise facilities (both indoor and outdoor) are fantastic, the maintenance crew are quick to respond and do great work, and the entire staff are very pleasant to interact with. We are very glad we chose to move here.

I have been living here almost 6 years and I love the community. The people in the office are very professional and keep you update about things going on in the community like events for the community or maintenance issues that are going on in the community. The Reserve at Wescott doesn't feel like it's right by the road with all the green spaces and the lake. It's a beautiful complex and my pups and I are very happy to be here. And the apartment updates are great. Love the appliances, the amount of light and the layout of my floor plan.

The leasing agents here at the Reserve of Wescott are very courteous and helpful throughout the leasing process. They were helpful in answering questions and any of my concerns. This made the process very simple and not complicated. This is a very beautiful community, with thoughts to offer for all future residents whether single, family or 55 seniors. We have a beautiful lake with a 1/4 of a mile path around the lake, with workout stations on this path. There's a 24-hr. fitness center and a pool here at the Reserves. Since I been here, they have held a bouquet making of fresh flowers for Mother's Day with a glass of Mimosa and community gathering. They community daily and weekly with all residents by emails, texts and newsletter. So, the Reserve's keeps everyone abreast of maintenance schedules and all upcoming events. Lastly but definitely not least, the apartments are gorgeous, clean and luxurious. Wanda B

Generally, service requests take a long time to complete, it took the maintenance weeks for them to replace our bathroom fan. they came in and took the fan component, unannounced when we specifically requested no entry, and didn't return to replace the fan for weeks. . Some of the office Staff are rude and/or non helpful. We have bugs that will not go away no matter how many times we have the exterminator come. Our Fire extinguishers that are on the stairs have been missing on the 1st floor and second floor since at least September 2023, we have mentioned this to staff and it has not been resolved. overall we have had a terrible experience living here.

These apartments are very well maintianed and are pleasant, beautiful place to live. The amenities are top notch and the staff are very accommodating. Kimber, Lindsey, and Josh are eager to please and realize the value of the community members, and Amber and Cody are extremely responsive and diligent in maintaining the property as a well as taking care of work orders promptly. Living in an apartment complex sucks, especially when appliances or the AC stop working and needs repairs. The maintenance Supervisor "Amber" is literally the best. Everytime we have an issue and call in a service request, she's there within few minutes or makes sure to have someone from the staff come and takes care of us.

This place is great with the amenities and the little trail that goes around the community. However, management isn’t . They are very slow on giving residents everything they need upon moving in. They don’t inform you well on policies or information regarding the community. Lastly, the community manager is very rude, inconsiderate and careless towards residents and their concerns. With the amount of money being paid to live here, the least you could do is provide residents with good customer service.

The current maintenance crew here such as cody and mario are truly great guys both are very knowledgeable and personable people that get the job done and with timely feedback. These are the kind of people you could see yourself having a beer with. From what has gone on since this place has been sold just around 3yrs or so go and with current rental prices which are very high at least we arent left without maintenance staff as our last leasing company has done.

They towed my car before Christmas while there was no sign up that you cannot park in the area. No notification. They towed me then talked down to me telling me I should have used my common sense and am I not an adult to know better and refused to reimburse me or more so they refused to put up a sign saying do not park here that this is a tow away zone. I asked the corporate offices why they won’t put up a sign when there’s people parked there now that obviously they do not know not to park there. Her response was well then I guess we should put up a sign saying don’t park on the sidewalk or on the playground or maybe people just stop being stupid. I told her that was cruel and how could she live with herself knowing other people are getting towed before Christmas too because she won’t put up a sign... she laughed and said it’s not her fault they’re not smart enough not to park there.(people have parked in this area for the 3 years that I’ve lived here and no one has ever said anything to us or notified us) They are a horrible management and truly terrible people. Live somewhere else, it’s not worth the pretty pictures.

The car was parked on the grass and was tagged and left for 24 hours so it could be moved. Unfortunately, it was not and the car was towed. I have been living here for one year and have never had any problems. The office staff is very friendly. I think the ground keeper guy is just as great as the office staff. He will always wave and even speak if he has a few seconds which means a lot to someone that doesn't have anyone. In my eyes it seems he goes above and beyond his duties. Keep the GROUND KEEPER as friendliness is a key to folks when looking for an apartment.
This place is great, the staff is friendly and curitious. They keep the grounds cleaned and well manicured. I truly have had nothing but positive experiences here
