Situated at the northern part of Delaware, Middletown provides very good housing, excellent education, and a comfortable climate. Middletown is also a booming job market, making it one of the top five cities to live within the state.
During its growth, the location has also served as a bedroom community for larger metros including Baltimore and Wilmington. The community remains a sought-after destination for those looking to relocate. The town offers an attractive location with great restaurants and modern conveniences.
As with many East Coast communities, Middletown has its fair share of annual events and festivals. Olde Thyme Peach Festival is a huge attraction, attracting tourists and residents with a parade, crafts, music, and more.
There’s also good infrastructure for recreation locations around the city, including the pool at Silver Lake Park. The Appoquinimink School District serves the residents of Middletown, and there’s also a couple of private schools as well.

Property Ratings at The Reserve at Westown
Rent went up a ridiculous amount. Pool was closed numerous times throughout the summer and no reimbursement provided. Paint on walls is contractor grade and if you wipe it clean, the paint comes off, leaves steaks and you can see drywall right through it. Many issues with the apartment were never corrected from the get go. Area is quiet, but lighting around the complex is bad at night.
The apartment complex is attractive but it's extremly loud, inside and out. We can hear every step and movement above; every car, bus, truck and any other motorized vehicle that goes by; and they do not manage the perimeter of the complex during inclement weather.
I loved everything about Westown, especially the quartz countertops and friendly staff. The developers are taking a wise, phased approach to developing the property. The only thing that saddened me was the pet policy. We have two cats and the property only allows one pet. I hope the pet policy is reconsidered because we would love to make Westown home.
