Property Ratings at The Reserve at Winding Creek
I’ve been staying here for almost 2 years now and at the beginning it was great but lately not so much. My first problem stems from when there was a gas leak in my apartment in Feb they took so long to fix it that they prorated my rent to pay half in Feb which was appreciated. What I did not appreciate is never being informed when the work order was completed I was told by the property manager “well you didn’t check” the reason why I never called is because each time I came back to my apartment to get clothes because I was not staying there my wall were completely gutted out THAT IS NOT A COMPLETE WORK ORDER. She tells me it was completed in FEB and my walls were not fixed until March and I still have a gas line going though my bedroom so now I’m paying for an apartment that I really did not agree too simply because when I signed my lease this gas line always not here. Secondly THE FLOODING!!!!!!! I lost my car due to flooding and there was absolutely NOTHING that’s the complex did not even an apology and while my car was just sitting someone stole my tires in broad daylight still nothing form the complex. Thirdly they’ve moved us to pay rent online I called because I was unsure of how to do something and was told “I have no idea how to work that system” Trash Complex
I previously gave it a 5 star but I can't find a way to delete my old review here. My advice is to pay for the home owners moving clause because it saved us! When we first moved in back in early 2019, I recommended it to everyone. I really enjoyed the first 6 months or so. They would even send police to warn people if the creek was flooding so you could move your car (although recently tons of people lost their cars to flooding). But by the end of 2019 I felt like things were not as great. The worst part was that there were people always arguing in the parking lot at all hours of the night and the new owners became very disengaged. It took a month before I could get ahold of them to renew my lease, and when they went to online billing, I was in contact for 3 months trying to find out why it wouldn't let me get into the account. They never could get it fixed, but by then we were moving. They also never gave us the professional carpet cleaning that was in the contract because of COVID but charged us the normal cleaning fee out of our deposit. If you want somewhere cheap and fairly decent this is the place, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone I know personally.
I currently live here and I am having a issue with bugs coming through my patio window. The only comment the leasing office has to say is maintenance has a ticket and will get to it if they have time. Living in this apartment if you have issues you will wait 1-3 weeks before anything is fixed. It’s not worth your money to live uncomfortable.
A great place to live, with very friendly and vibrant staffing. The apartment I live in is very comfortable and perfectly sized for me. I didn't think I would care about the sunken living room as much as I do but its a really cool addition to an already nice living space. Matinence is out very quickly as well if I ever need them. And when I have a party I am inviting the staff - Brandon A
I moved into a two bedroom at the Reserve at Winding Creek in late January and have had nothing more then the best of experience. The apartment was clean, the grounds are kept in great condition, the neighbors are friendly and most important of all, the management staff and maintenance staff have all been extremely professional, polite, courteous, friendly, responsive and welcoming. The couple very minor issues I had were addressed promptly and completely in a professional manner. I spent a great deal of time reading many of the previous comments and was very surprised at all the negativity. I honestly have experienced nothing less then the best out of the Reserve at Winding Creek and I highly recommend this apartment complex. Scott H.
Oh Wow all the Bad reviews on this property is True!!! Not only is the apartments Horrible, the Management team is a Train Wreck, I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or just Miserable with her life!?!? I tried to get information for a 2 bedroom rental, it was so outdated , nothing was up to date and you could see the Mold && Mildew in the bathroom and cracks around kitchen sink, it holds a very bad smell also. The Mgr. Had a very bad attitude , you can tell she hate her job!!! I hope I neverever came in contact with her or anyone I'm trying to do business with that has a attitude like she had... Please be Ware if your looking for an apartment, stay clear ok f The Reserve At Winding Creek.
The apartments were taken over by a new company and they are horrible. The office seems unorganized and some of the staff are very unprofessional. you have to call numerous times to get things taken care of. if i had enough money and extra time to move i would. As much as you pay in rent here (because they go up EVERY year $50-$60), you would think it would be better customer service. They do keep the grounds nice, everything else is complete garbage. It floods during heavy storms, motion lights on the entrances to your building dont work and thats not safe coming in and out in the dark, this area is not well lit. and the hours of the office is closed on Sunday and by 5pm every day. it should at least be open until half a day Sunday-they could probably take care of more business. bring the old staff back from 2016 and 2017 because they handled business quickly and professionally.
I’ve lived in the apartment for years! They recently changed management as well as managers. I can’t speak for the management company except for the $40 increase in my rent but the new manager has THEE worst attitude I’ve ever seen. I’ve also spoken with neighbors that have had the same experience. They don’t fix anything in a timely manner anymore and several calls have to be made to follow up to make sure they are doing my their jobs in the office. It’s miserable and at this point I will not be renewing my lease and taking all of my referrals elsewhere.
I had problems with the apartment from the time i moved in up unto i moved out. Office staff very rude and have horrible attitudes. Maintenance entered my home on several occasions without my permission or leaving a notice they where in the apartment. Instead they left my apartment trashed and used my dishes without asking. My roof leaked for 9 months and no one ever came to fix it or relocate me. I was given buckets and the issue was never followed up on. When ever i do call if i need something fixed i always have to call at least 5 times before aomeone ever comes out. The parking lot floods frequently with rain. Very unsatisfied and will not recommend anyone to move here. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
I was so excited about my apartment until the maintnance staff and MIA entered my apartment several times without notice . i would come home to a letter on my door ..I felt violated since someone already came in my apartment when i was sleeping in my bed before! Several monthd of roof leaks until i called the hazelwood health inspectors who condemned my apartment...They try to cover up the issues with the roof! They just give you a bucket and they will not relocate you ! RUN!!!!! After my first year my rent raised $50.. I was there 3 years and wanted to stay but they are unsafe and a health hazard....
I currently rent from the complex and recently our kitchen plumbing backed up. We couldn't use the kitchen for 9 days. We were forced to buy fastfood for all 3 meals for all 9 days. ...we were informed that a credit would be issued on the rent. Come to find out the credit was under $35 total. Office staff argued that the credit was sufficient and fair because we could have used the water in the bathroom to cook~ I don't know about you but I'm NOT dumping my pasta in the bathroom sink to drain. Nor transporting hot pots back and forth. In my opinion the complex was slow to getting the repairs done. They should have had round the clock plumbers in place to resolve the matter (but because it would cost the apartment complex too much money) they stretched it out. I have a completely updated unit that looks great from a far, but the "new counters" are buckled from shady installation, the floor is covered with paint speckles because the painter didn't use caution. The windows are old and in need of repair. Office staff rarely answers phones, but are pretty pleasant when they do....the parking lot does flood during heavy rains(and they don't advice you of that upon moving in). All I can say is proceed with CAUTION!
If you are reading this review it’s because you care enough to check this place out before you move here. This is the first review I’ve ever written, please trust me. DO NOT MOVE HERE! This is the worst place I have ever lived in my entire life. The parking lot floods when it rains so the police knock on your door in the middle of the night to move your car. We were on the bottom floor and our patio/living room flooded multiple times, nothing was done other than cleaning the carpet. The apartment above us would flood from the ceiling when it rained and it flooded so bad it would go to our apartment as well. Our front door wouldn’t close all the way, and our hall closet doors were broken. Our garbage disposal always had a bad smell and nothing would get rid of it. The back bedroom wouldn’t receive AC and we were told to get light blocking curtains. No one ever answers at the office. We left early (thought about suing) but it was too much work. We were told we would owe unpaid rent unless they rented the place to someone else. I gave them my email address, mailing address, phone number and forwarded my mail. I called them 3 times and left messages. No one ever contacted me so I figured they rented the apartment until I got a letter from a collection agency that I owed money. I had no problem with paying the money but thought the $125 late fee was ridiculous since they never told me about the debt and I tried to contact them several times. Save yourself time and money, don’t rent here! Mia and the staff are shady.
The apartment I stay in are very nice and quiet I been here for 2 years and would tell everyone and anyone about this place this is a five star place.
These apartments are very nice so far I've only been here a month. But so far so good.
With moving in , you would first feel that it is a lovely place to live but then you see the flaws . If you move your oven you will see that they don't thoroughly clean your apartment prior to you moving in . Other places arent cleaned either . If you live on the side where the creek is , you have to be cautious about your car flooding because the water levels rise when it rains and floods the road. The laundromat dryers are old and sometimes your clothes will not dry. The maintenance is terrible . I have had a non working garbage disposal and a cracked tub for a year , which they will not fix . I've called on multiple occassions and decided to just not renew the lease . My air conditioning unit was out for a month . I wasn't compensated for being extremely hot . Be sure to overlook everything in your apartment . Every flaw , every dent in the wall , everything that is loose . Because Mia will try and blame you and charge you .
I love my apartment it's convienant to work shopping and school it's peaceful friendly n neighbors and the price is offordable
I have lived in my complex since 2014. I also had a previous 2 leases here in the same complex in 2010, but due to finishing school, once my 2nd lease ended, i moved back home with my parents. I was so pleased with my stay that I came back after graduation. I am in a central location, maintenance is friendly and responds almost immediately. It is very affordable for what you are getting. BUT... I think the complex should be honest with potential tenants about the creek that is behind the complex. In very heavy rains, it floods. In all of my experience, I have never had to deal with the flooding because both times I have lived here, my apt has been away from the creek. But, those who have units near the creek have had to deal with totaled cars and flooded out apts. This has only happened once in all of my experience but I heard it happened once before 2010 as well. Flood insurance is recommended. Very small, quiet, and happy community and I would still recommend anyone to live here.
