Property Ratings at The Reserve on Washington
Shower Faucet Fixed Maintenance was timely and communicative throughout the entire process. My issue is 100% resolved. Excellent service.
Staff is great Move in was quick and easy and the staff were super helpful if we had questions. Maintenance also took care of minor issues right away. Highly recommend
Great Staff and Great Neighbors The staff have always been friendly , and have been doing their best to enact repairs and improvements to the whole of the apartments. The cost is manageable and quite reasonable for location, especially considering other apartment complexes. Keep up the good work, Reserve!
Maintenance Very Responsive Resolves any issue very quickly and professionally
Quiet area and the ones who work in the rent office are very understanding.
I initially viewed the property online, and then scheduled to take a tour. I was very disappointed in how outdated the property is. While the 2 bedroom has old white appliances the 1 bedroom apartments are all updated and do not look as though they belong on the same property. The place is in need of a lot of care. I thought initially it was under construction when I first arrived to the building that the leasing office is located in. If you enjoy the occasional rusty bathroom mirror and stained walls, this is the place for you.

I recently moved to the Sherry apartments & honestly they're wonderful! You get so much space, especially closet space, for such a good price. Everyone has been really friendly & from what I understand new management recently took over & they have been making beautiful improvements already. However, they drag. Like everything takes forever to get done. There were 3 holes in the ceiling of my hallway & it took over 2 months to get patched. They have been promising a fitness center since I moved in & the date is constantly getting pushed back. There have been a few things in my apartment I've called to have maintenance fix & it takes weeks. It's hard to get too frustrated because everyone truly is so nice, but that does get annoying time & time again.

The owners don’t put any money into the property, yet raise rents every year $30/month on average. The pool area is disgusting with overgrown weeds everywhere and a busted door so everyone in town can use the pool (and they do!). The parking lot is riddled with potholes all year long and is long overdue for a re-do. The handicapped spaces get flooded with the littlest of rain. Real nice, isn’t it?! These people already have a hard time getting to their cars, but then they have to go through water as well. Where there was once flowers and mulch, there are now weeds. Buildings have chipped paint everywhere. Dead trees all over the property that fall down during storms, and nobody bothers to clean up the debris for months. Too few, outdated coin-operated laundry machines with not even a change machine or vending machine in the room. Maintenance is a joke. He doesn’t actually know how to fix anything, and be prepared for your apartment to not be even close to ready for move in. The apartments themselves are old and outdated. NOT WORTH THE HIGH RENTS AT ALL! Management/owners do not care about property or tenants and it shows. Dog crap all over the property, dogs in the pool, people in the pool late at night, fire pits right next to the building, broken down cars sitting in the parking lot for YEARS. Management doesn’t enforce any of their rules. For the rents they charge, you can find a much nicer place.
Large rooms with an abundance of closet space. Very quiet area and many friendly residents.
Sherry apartments is an average, run of the mill place. Nothing fancy, but nothing extravagant either. Their maintenance on hand is always on site in a reasonable amount of time and very good at what they do considering the age of the building. Rent is a little steep considering the amenities that come with the package but when it comes down to it, the location is prime. It is a quiet area and walking distance to the downtown area.
I chose Sherry Apartments for the space for the money. I have a 900 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment for $1065/month that includes water and heat. It may not be modern with all the pretty countertops and cabinets, but it has amazing closet space, spacious rooms and a pantry in the kitchen (a must-have for me). There's a lot of senior citizen tenants, which makes for a quiet community. The building has an elevator, front lobby and garbage room (on each floor) that makes it feel very condo-like. I had to compromise with a public laundry room instead of private washer/dryer, but it's never busy when I go. I would recommend the complex puts in a change machine or goes to card-reading machines. Keeping a stack of quarters gets annoying. The apartment is also across the street from the path that runs along the DuPage River in Naperville. A great spot for jogging/biking!
I have been at the Sherry Apartments for over five years. I love the floor plan of my unit - while it is just under 1,000 sq. ft., it is open and perfect for entertaining. I love that I have a linen closet and a pantry. Utilities included, except electric - and it's even a gas stove! It is an older community, and repairs around the complex are needed; the maintenance staff is attentive, if a bit overworked. The new property manager has made some significant upgrades on the pool and around the buildings. There is still a lot to do, and I am excited to see the changes. I rated the complex three stars because while I have enjoyed living here the past five years, it hasn't been perfect and i'm encouraged at the changes that are starting to happen.
