Property Ratings at The Residences at Brookside
Lived for a year during school, we actually loved our neighbors and truly enjoyed our time there! Property manager is SO friendly and awesome. Our unit faced the path so we had beautiful view but lots of random people going by all hours. I would live there again if we stayed in CA. Pros: Easy access to river path, close to really good coffee and food, ok neighborhood, ok price, property manager super helpful, laundry on site, pool that is actually cleaned Cons: at least one cockroach a week, all kind of people being loud on the path, all kind of neighbors (we had no issues but you never know), cheap maintenance like paint on the bathtub, sleazy company tried to charge us $840 for imaginary stuff after leaving
I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and have loved it Manager is super nice and maintenance always gets things done in a timely manner. Size and price is perfect for my family. :)
Every since Arch got here he has been on it. I recently left and my dad is still there he makes sure my father is well taking care of. He very friendly and we have the best of conversation and has done everything in his power to make sure all tenants are safe and comfortable. He goes out his way for the residents making sure everyone got and gets what is needed. I can honestly say things have truly turnt around since he got there. Thanks Arch. Im one phone call away...
The property has improved tremendously since the new property manager has been here, the property has been painted , roofs done and also improved the laundry room
I've lived here for many years and the property got better once the new owner bought it. The owner hired the recent manager, who takes care of business. This manager takes his job seriously and does not allow anyone to walk the property is they are behaving suspiciously. Owner has installed new roofs, trees cut back, new washer/dryers, pool is clean. Of course in 2020 the pool was closed due to COVID, but will reopen in summer 2021. Within a 5 minute walk to Stagg High School, and less for 2 elementary schools. No violence on the property and no noise, because the manager calls that out right away. The apartments are remodeled before move in, with wood flooring. Owner is reasonable. I personally like living here.
Yes that no deposit sounds great! but do you want roaches crawling throughout your apartment? Your water gets cut off almost everyday due to water issues. Trash bins outside are always over filled an you have no where to park your car! Pool closed 24/7 (even in 2020 before covid now its 2021). Gang members hanging out in the parking lot... Music from drivers passing through the parking lot that will wake you out of a deep sleep. The mail boxes are constantly broken into. Roaches in the laundry room (physically still alive crawling!! Dude if only i can upload the pictures).
Our water gets cut off every week due to flooding in other units. Roaches everywhere especially in the laundry room!!! (Alive crawling in the washer). Mail boxes constantly broken into . NO VIDEO PATROL . Pool closed 24/7!! On-site manager is trash at getting anything fixed. Gang members hanging out in the parking lot an they will stare you down as if you are the guest. Not safe for kids !!! Holes in the fences so they welcome anyone in Stockton to patrol the property. Police are always getting called.
Management is terrible. Maintenance up keep is terrible. Property employee integrity is very questionable. Please don't do it to yourself/family. Save your money.
Reviews for Brookside Aparments are before the property changed hands 2 1/2 years ago. Since new owners, management and staff, the property and the mood has improved more each time I visit.
