Property Ratings at The Residences At Chagrin River Walk
Train is super close / loud, the floors and walls are built poorly so you can hear your neighbor's every step, the pool deck needs to be fixed as grout is balled up everywhere and pool upkeep could be better, I had bug issues since the moment I moved in and maintenance never solved it, I lost power constantly even without weather issues, and now they are hosting concerts on the property and I was told I cannot leave or come back to my paid parking spot during concert hours because I will affect the "concert traffic"...I didn't sign up to live at Blossom Music Center. For how much this place costs the bad outweighed the good for me and I had to move. It's a facade...pretty on the outside but not as nice as it initially seems. I would encourage you to continue looking elsewhere.
The building is very nice, in unit washer and dryer, hard wood floors and an elevator. However, the downsides out weight the perks. Expect to pay 200$ in fees they force you to pay. As well as a 50$ convince fee for paying rent online. Management is horrible and does a terrible job at keeping residents updated with current issue like who the current leasing managers are, maintenance issues, closers, etc. I know it is super tempting to live here with how nice the apartments looks, but they are so small for what you are paying. You also have to listen to a train while you sleep multiple times a night. I looked at these reviews when I moved in and still gave this place a shot. Trust me, don't do what I did. LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE.
In my early experience, the communication and warmth that comes along with this new journey at Chargrin River Walk has been something to appreciate! Highly recommend.
I moved into Riverwalk in July of 2018. The apartments are clean and extremely well maintained. Maintenance is proactive and very attentive. The residents are decent, respective people. The office staff is professional and quick to respond to any questions. Their are a lot of dog owners but surprisingly enough, you rarely hear any dogs barking. You do have trains passing nearby but they are not as loud as some reviewers have stated. This is a A class residence and I recommend it highly.
Like other reviews have mentioned, there are loud trains that come frequently and the internet low quality and slow (only given one option). The appliances also seem cheap - the dishwasher never dries anything and sometimes doesn't run a full wash cycle. The buildings themselves are noisy - people stomp down the steps and a train seems to pass by every 30 min. Would not recommend this place at all considering how much it costs for rent (plus the fees they tack on). Looking forward to moving out
The apartments look nice on the inside, and that is about it. You can find better for the cost The internet is very bad - impossible to play any games, and sometimes even stream video. They only offer one internet provider, which isn't a main ISP for this area and contracts out to apartment complexes and hotels. There isn't enough parking. People are parking wherever they want all over the road and management doesn't do anything about it. Loud trains. Stay away if you are a light sleeper. There are several tracks behind the apartment that the management forgot to mention. The trains are loud and they come often.
Extremely nice apartments but watch out for what side of the complex you are on because on the north side there is a train track that runs about every hour and then every 2-3 hours during the night. Train sounds horn even at night as it crosses Erie street.
Few things that are issues. They make you go with their internet, which is awful. Impossible to stream movies or play anything online. Parking is a mess. People just park wherever they feel and you sometimes can't even get though the drive. They list all these "amenities" which aren't even here yet. I'm sure rent will increase 10-20% when they are actually built. Very average for the price.
My daughter and I just moved in on October 1st and we are so happy with our decision. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and truly has a luxurious feel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If there is a question it is answered very quickly. We are always updated on what's happening on the property and are very excited about all the additions being put in. Yes... there is construction, however the construction company has been very clean, quiet and respectful of the residence. They leave early in the evening and do not work on weekends so it is very peaceful. I am planning on staying longer than I originally thought. It's great to love where you live! I would highly recommend this property.
I am pleased with my decision to rent, here. Yes there is construction at the complex during the week but by late afternoon workers have left for the day. Construction in no way interferes with day to day living. Imo Riverwalk offered me the best value for my dollar..The apartments are brand new and well appointed. Nice central location to Willoughby and Mentor. Walking distance to downtown Willoughby. Just as important the staff are attentive to tenant concerns and detail, always professional and courteous.
Just wanted to write a quick review about how nice these apartments are! Everyone seems super friendly and its nice to feel welcome here. As far as location goes, it's great to be in an area where everything you need is so close. If there are any issues about anything, the staff is right on it to make sure we're completely satisfied. I'm super happy I moved here and looking forward to seeing how great the rest of the place turns out!
We have been living here for about 3 months now and we have had a great experience! Because they are new, there have been a few minor instances that were resolved within a day. They are extremely helpful and kind. People who move in have to be understanding that it is under construction and be patient as they finish everything up. We are really looking forward to the pool and fitness center and dog park. We were only going to stay a year, but now we want to stay longer so we can enjoy the amenities! The current lack of amenities is made up for by other things. The location is amazing - less than two minutes from the highway, walking distance of downtown willoughby, 5 minutes to the mall and shopping. The apartments are spacious and beautiful. So much storage and space. I've never had an issue with construction noise, ever. This place offers so much with in incredibly kind and helpful staff. I'm very happy with our decision to move here!
My wife and I just moved into our brand new apartment a little over a month ago. The apartment is fantastic. Super high ceilings and an open living/dining room make it feel like a house and not an apartment - plus they let you bring your dog! Bedrooms are large, walk in closet in the master bedroom with its' own bathroom! Super close to downtown Willoughby (walking distance!). Yes, the property is still under construction, but they don't work late or on the weekends and really the only inconvenience right now is some dust on your car. Regardless, we rented two garage spaces to keep our car out of the snow in the winter! We're told the pool/fitness center will be done next year and we are looking forward to it. One final note - our leasing consultant was an absolute pleasure to work with! Not that she was the reason we moved in, but she made the whole process enjoyable and pain free!
Cheaply made. No parking available. Very loud in and around the complex.
This apartment complex is under development; therefore amenities like a fitness center are not available at this time and will not be available until next summer (almost a year away). As they are under development you will be living in a construction site for at a minimum a year. Additionally, these costs are all inaccurate; cost of apartments are $100-200 more than what is being advertised on this site.
