Property Ratings at The Residences at The Row
I was denied a walkthrough prior to move in day. So my house was packed and I showed up when the office staff arrived to do a walkthrough. When I first entered all I could smell was urine, it got stronger in the master bedroom. When I called the office they said they would send someone to clean the carpet(shouldn’t that have already been done?) they did not move any furniture and only cleaned what was visible. After that I found kibble on the kitchen floor, urine all over the toilet seat, clogged tub drains, a broken thermostat, lights that didn’t work in either of the bedrooms, and when we ran the dishwasher it flooded all over the counter top. When I left 3 months early they charged me for carpet cleaning and a fresh paint job. Neither of which this apartment received prior to my move in day. When I asked to have those charges removed both the office and property managers told me this is how they turn over the apartments. I explained my circumstance how this apartment was not clean, needed a replacement carpet, and had scuffs all over the wall before I moved in and they refused to remove the charge. If you dare sign a lease here make sure you write all of the issues down on that sheet and go back to the office to add more as the week goes on. Also take photos and send emails so that you have a trail. They are acting like this apartment is luxury and it is far from.
Reading the reviews before signing a lease with the Row would have saved me a great deal of trouble. I contacted them on April 28th to provide my forwarding address for my deposit check return. However, they still sent it to my previous address, completely disregarding my instructions, as evidenced by a photo I received from Informed Delivery on May 1st. The Row's response was unacceptable when I called them again. They claimed that the check would have been forwarded if I had set up mail forwarding. This was absurd since I had already done so. The envelope had no name on it, which made mail forwarding impossible. Despite my repeated attempts to contact Row, they ignored me and did not return my calls. I was left with no choice but to contact their corporate office. The first person I spoke with promised to mail the check the next day, but after a week of waiting, I had to call again. This time, they claimed that it was not their responsibility. However, this was clearly their mistake for not sending it to the correct address in the first place, so they should have taken responsibility for it. I requested that they reissue the check since they had sent it to the wrong address, but they refused, claiming that once it was mailed, they had no control over it.
I am a new resident here. The management people is worst ever. They will be nice to you when they show you apartment before contract. After contract when you ask something to them thier face changed. I am busy I have 5 new costomer today. Please shut up and that is not my problem, you figure it out face. You can see that if you can me a new resident here. They make me hate Fresno and I am so regret to choose this house.
