Somerset is a suburban neighborhood about seven miles northeast of Downtown Columbus. Property Ratings at The Residences at Town Center
After 2years I am so glad to break my lease. Your patience will be tested specially if you live downstair. The apartment is old you will hear your neighbor’s squaky and their bathroom flash. Neighbors can be so inconsiderate they turn their laundry in the middle of the night. Made so many complain regarding weed smell but no action taken. Crime is getting out control too many car theft, packages and burglary. They are partnered with Nationwide their bill is too high and your car insurance will go high as the zipcode is bad due to many car accidents.
I could go on forever about the issues I’ve had here, but I’ll try to keep it short. Dumpsters always overflowing, neighbors are loud and have so many guests parking is hard to come by, there’s so many maintenance issues (stove not working, dryer steaming the laundry room, windows falling out of window frame, key/lock not working, AC broken to name a few). Apartment was barely cleaned upon move in. Residents hardly ever pick up dog poop. Half of the time my mail is put in the wrong mailbox or I just don’t receive it. Not worth the decent price.
RTC staff actually care about your quality of living and are so helpful. Many of my friends who live in other apartment complexes complain about maintenance service time and management. I can honestly say RTC is amazing. They keep the property clean year round and safe during the winter by salting all the sidewalks and stairs. The 1 bedroom I live in is plenty space for one person and the amenities here are awesome. The location is perfect being close to a grocery store and Easton shopping center. I would recommend this property to anyone!

The 2 bedroom with a garage is a bargain. The price is on point the maintenance team is always attentive and responded within 1 or 2 days.....the leasing office staff is the best! Only improvement is the pools...the pool by the club house is open all day and night until 8pm. The other pool closes at 5pm. Be great if that was an adult (21 or older) pool after 5pm during the week......other then that the apartments provide everything 100% and this is a review from a apartment person from the past 5 years...
Forget about your Deposit they will charge you more money after you move out
The Residences at Towne Center is not a good complex to live in. The complex is not safe as my car was broken into right outside my door on 2 separate occasions. There security is almost non-existent, particularly for a complex of this size. The utilities are also way overpriced as you have no choice but to use a sub-metering company rather than a company of your choosing. They'll also charge you for non-existent damages upon move out. There's a lot of nice apartments in the area, do yourself a favor and do not live here.
Choosing the residences of Towne Center apartment complex was a great choice for my son and I. This location is accessible to his downtown high school, my New Albany job, all major highways and shopping. Maintenance was always responsive, knowledgeable and professional. The most I've waited is two to three days over a holiday, which is understandable because they have families too. The leasing office staff I've always been courteous helpful and respectful when I communicated with them or they communicated with me. The walls are not there I've lived here two years and have no complaints. The utility company is contracted and yet a little pricey if you do not manage your thermostat . After learning this with my first winter and summer it was manageable the second year. I will use this in my technique at my home to save money on utility bills. I love the natural setting, the trees and the pools. I would love to stay another year unfortunately I cannot. One suggestion for RTC and other apartment complexes is to reward annual lease renewals by not increasing the rent every year, rather every other year to show appreciation for renewing your lease. Zero to low incidents, quite respectful neighbors, ample parking. I love it hear. I have only one month left before i move. I would nice back if I sell my house in the future.
You pay an incredibly high price for poor living conditions. I lived here for about 3 years, and am very disappointed with this place. The front door leaked in cold air, and there was a 20 degree difference beside my door and the rest of the house. Management refused to fix it. My bedroom wall neighbors were incredibly loud and even though I called the police many times and filed 4 grievances with the management, nothing was ever done. The layout of the apartment is poor. My bedroom wall was adjacent to my neighbor's living room. As I feel asleep, I heard every conversation, every party, every song and every TV show. They frequently send passive aggressive notes to an entire block of apartments stating that something, "WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!!!" when it is really meant to be directed toward one particular tenant. The staff is rude, and I was so happy to get out of there. In short, it is not worth the money.
the apartments are not well kept. when i moved in my AC unit was broken, my smoke detectors FELL OUT of the ceiling, my toilet leaked, my dryer didn't work, the sink was already clogged, and there were cockroaches and mold in the utility closet. the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbors do. mine like to smoke pot and blast heavy metal music at 3 in the morning. i can not wait for my lease to be up so i can move out!!! definitely not worth the $750 a month for rent for a 500 sq ft apartment, plus you pay all utilities and the residents pay the leasing office's utilities also. disappointed to say the least.
Residents at town center is a great place to live. The community is friendly and peaceful. The staff in the office are very helpful and try to make sure you know all your information up front. The location is close to a lot of shopping areas which makes it easy to take care of quick shopping errends.
I have lived her several years and I couldn't be happier. It's very quiet and lot's of diversity. I have had no problems living in this complex
The apartments themselves aren't anything spectacular; they're well maintained, reasonably updated, and clean. Where these apartments stand out is in the managrment; they are super friendly and lax about about minor changes to the apartments - adding a vanity cabint to the bathroom, changing light fixtures, et cetera. If you're not a handyman, the maintenance team is friendly and pretty good at fixing things in a timely manner. I would definetly reccomend these apartments to a friend or even passing stranger if such a conversation arose.
