The beachfront town of Encinitas is located about 25 miles north of San Diego between Carlsbad and Solana Beach. Encinitas is home to Moonlight State Beach, a popular destination for beachcombers and surfers year-round; Swami's, a surfing destination mentioned in the Beachboys classic, Surfin' USA and considered one of the best surfing destinations in the world; and Grandview Surf Beach, known for its surfing break. Other beaches include Seaside State Beach and San Elijo State Beach, a beach with campsites. The beaches are so amazing in Encinitas, National Geographic named it one of the world's top 20 surf towns.
The south side of Encinitas is consumed by San Elijo Lagoon, a large nature preserve with a visitor center, the lagoon, and seven miles of hiking trails. To the north, the Batiquitos Lagoon State Marine Conservation Area provides a natural habitat for a variety of mammals, birds, plants, and fish.

Property Ratings at The Resort at Encinitas Luxury Apartment H...
Lived at this property for 1.5 years. First 6 months we had roach infestation all over the kitchen and bathrooms. The roaches were huge. Absolutely disgusting. Then they jacked up the rents even with all these pest problems. The material they used in the units are super cheap and outgasing. After we moved out, we cleaned everything thoroughly better than when we moved in. However, they still refuse to return our security deposit. We have all the evidence and tried to call them, however, no one ever answers the phone. Horrible management and service.
The previous reviews were all for the old owners when it was called Mission Ridge. They deserved the 4 - 5 stars. I have lived here from 2016 until now. The idea that they call this the "Resort" does not reflect the actually experience. Since the new company took ownership, I have had cockroaches, people selling food out of their cars, selling clothes out of vans, Making food and selling it out of their apartments. The amount of foot and vehicles. traffic is insane and it is not quiet resort living. Cars are parked all along the streets and into the cul -d - sacs around the neighborhoods where there are beer bottles, used toilet paper, bags of used condoms and other items that make taking your dog out for a walk dangerous and not relaxing. People are roaming around hanging out at multiple curbs on their phones. It does not have a very safe feel that encourages walking around the neighborhood. The inside of the units - aside from the cockroaches - are nice with the updates. I would really come hang out on Sundays and get a true feel for the Resort living.
I had a wonderful experience living in Mission Ridge. The updated units are very nice with high ceilings and new kitchens. The complex is very quiet and spaced out. Great location close to the 5, shopping and beaches. There are quite a few walking trails nearby with nice views. Management is superb from leasing to maintenance to move out. I would highly recommend living here.
The apartments are all well maintained and clean, inside as well as the outside grounds. If I ever needed any maintenance or help, it was always taken care of promptly. Overall I enjoyed my experience living at Mission Ridge.
While this is an older apartment complex, the layout is excellent, quiet at nights, and the proximity to all main roads, shopping and freeway makes it extremely desirable. My personal experience with the Management (specifically Rebecca) was outstanding. Professional, attentive and caring. Had only one maintenance request which was promptly resolved. Nothing but good experience.
Units are older but more spacious compared to other apartment complexes in the area. There windows are not double pane so you will hear everything. The complex is located on a very busy street so you will hear cars driving day + night. There is frequent maintenance work going on so it's just overall a very noisy community. The area also has a lot of litter and trash around, especially along Via Molena.
It seems like a nice place to rent but dealing with the front office is AWFUL. They are incompetent and do not make anything convenient. The apartment we moved into had BED BUGS! So disgusting!!! We barely even got to unpack before we had to put all our clothes into trash bags for Orkin to come clean. After the cleaning our apartment was left with the couches and beds stood up against the wall with the rest of our furniture out of place. We had to spend countless hours putting every single item of clothing, bedding, linen, and pillows in the dryer to "kill" the bed bugs in case they spread and while the complex paid to have orkin come, they did nothing about the quadrupling of our SDG&E bill. Finally after 3 TIMES of orkin coming to debug our apartment and 1 MONTH of our time wasted, the bugs were gone. I DO NOT recommend moving in here at all. Very poor customer service and bad property management. The office seems nice at first but you will come to find how INCOMPETENT they are after dealing with them for any issue you may have.
I absolutely love living here at Mission Ridge. If you want quiet, you got it here! The view from my bedroom and balcony in this apartment is breathtaking. I love the Private entrance and Upgraded stainless steel appliances in the Kitchen. My car is just a few feet from my front door under a carport. I have not had any issues with insects at all, and the property is kept clean at all times. Amanda in the Office is the person to see if you have anything that needs to be taken care of and is very nice, friendly and professional. A few maintenance issues were needed when I first moved in and were taken care of immediately. I can't say anything negative against this property except, I hope my rent does not go up with my lease in up in July, as it would be very difficult to find something at these location, that gives me the space and storage I need. I would like to see some kind of social gatherings, on a regular basis such as pot luck dinners or something in the club house, to meet other tenants .....this would be the only draw back if you are looking for a place with activities. I hope to make Mission Ridge my home for many years to come!!
Our apartment is nice, but since Mission Ridge was bought by new owners they've raised the rent considerably. For my husband and me, it's not worth what they're asking for in rent now, and we'll be leaving after having lived here for about a year and a half. Otherwise, maintenance crews are really responsive and the ladies at the office are pretty responsive as well.
I recently visited Mission Ridge Apartments as part of my apartment search for my upcoming relocation to San Diego. Mission Ridge was located on a hillside with walking distance from grocery, shopping, dining and many services located along the El Camino Real. The beach was 2.5 miles away with 8-10 minutes drive. It was a quiet neighborhood yet just minutes away from everything, making is a perfect location to live! I was greeted by Amanda, the manager, after I walked into the leasing office. Amada was friendly and personable! After listening to what I was looking for, she recommended the right floorplan to best meet my needs at the price point I was comfortable with. She then gave me a tour of a vacant unit with the same floor plan. Because Mission Ridge was built as Condos before being converted to apartments, all units had private entrance. The floor plan was functional and spacious with lots of windows and high ceiling. The view of the valley from the Balcony was great! Washer and dryer were in the unit so it was convenient! Mission Ridge also upgraded the unit before new tanents moving in so many new amanties and fixtures, including fresh paint and new carpet and flooring, etc. I was impressed by what I saw. After visiting many more places in San Diego area, I decided to go with Mission Ridge and put in my deposit. Amanda helped me through the application process. She was always responsive to my questions and attentive to my needs. I had a great experience working with her! I am looking forward to move in to Mission Ridge in a few weeks and will update this review with my experience!
This building is centrally located in the heart of Encinitas, Ca. The apartment itself is large compared to other apartments in the area. The included amenities enhance the appeal. There are multiple pools, a gym, and a clubhouse that are all free to residents. The staff is very professional and efficient. If there is an issue in our apartment it is resolved quickly.I love living in Encinitas, finding this apartment at a great price allows me to stay in the city I love.

I was very impressed with the welcome and tour I received. I am awaiting a 2 bdrm or 1 bdrm with den to be available, then would move in a minute. The cleanliness and convenience of location are all I need to be content by beautiful Encinitas.
