Property Ratings at The Retreat At Altamonte Springs
I have lived here for 2 years and it has been nothing but great. The staff is wonderful. Always helpful and available. I wish we had a gym but there is plenty is pace to run/walk. There is a park with a beautiful lake and there are always people walking their dogs or pushing strollers. I plan to stay for a long time.
The new staff and management at The Retreat went above and beyond to help me get what I needed and wanted. They are doing an excellent job doing a complete overhaul to the Complex. I must say I am very impressed with the leasing manager and Jesse they both get 5 stars from me! Thanks again for helping me with a smooth & stress-free move.
This place is horrible don’t waste your time and money.maintence work takes forever we had no pool all summer they decided to work on it at the start of summer and never finished,the office workers had people stealing rent checks then sent letters to occupants to pay late fees cuz someone stole the checks,home invasions fights shootings..this is my last year here

Please don’t stay here. I know it’s cheaper and in a great location. That’s what attracted us. But from beginning to end it was a terrible experience. If Lennis is still there. Please be careful. She is extremely rude and yells at everybody when things are going her way. The poor maitence guys are so over worked and they aren’t willing to hire more than 2 workers for the whole property so things never get done. It’s frustrating and you want to blame it on them but really they have their hands tied because it’s such an old place that they are constantly fixing things that they have their hands tied so it’s constant battle to get anything fixed there. Please read your contract carefully. They literally have a right to do anything and in the contract you sign the right to sue them. When we moved out, after much fighting we got Lennis to do the walk through with us. Because we didn’t want anything taken off our deposit that wasn’t agreed upon (She says she only does it by herself) when we finished we agreed what’s to be done but she refused to give us a price. But swore that it’s not much. 30 days later we receive the check and the invoice...over 75% of our deposit was gone and she was charging us for things that were perfectly fine when we left and never mentioned through the walkthrough and also for things that the previous tentant had damaged and was noted in our move in check list. After calling a total of 176 times to try and get a hold of her finally When we asked her what all that was about she immediately started yelling at us and said that it was all our fault and when we told her we would drop off our copy of the move in check list to prove we weren’t at fault she told us no she didn’t want to hear anymore and that she will get her lawyer ready and hung up on us. And unfortunately even though we have all the proof, in the rental agreement we are not allowed to counterclaim them...sigh. I have so many stories to tell, as well as all my neighbors. My upstairs neighbor didn’t even have a working kitchen the first 6 months he moved in. Save yourself the headache and don’t live there. At least as long as Lennis is managing the rentals.
