Property Ratings at The Retreat at Market Square
I’ve lived here for almost 10 years and I have seen two different management teams. The ones currently here are accommodating, understanding and communicate well. The maintenance team is also responsive and addresses the needs of the apartment quickly. The amenities are family friendly. The only criticism I have is that I wish the gym were a bit larger and a little more state of the art. It hasn’t changed much in the time that I have lived here. Otherwise i recommend these apartments and the location is absolutely perfect with easy access to a variety of stores and restaurants.
There is no doubt in my mind that the owner/management will respond; of which I will respond with concise specifics, names, dates, with issues and problems for further public view... Look we can all agree that tenants have the LEGAL RIGHT to a habitable home, and a healthy and safe living environment, and in court-of-law a tenant will win almost every-time. If this LEGAL right is not satisfied, tenants are able to withhold rent until the "repairs and deduct" are fully satisfied, especially major issues like air-conditioning during the hottest weeks of the year. This development could care less about you, and will always push their reckless greed (late fees and prideful narcissism), hard lining their lease agreement/policies whether you like it or not. Do not expect this development to meet you half-way (like a hotel or airline), even when they are fully responsible for your misery and poor living conditions. In my case, they tried to tag me a hefty late fee, and when I finally had them remove it after multiple attempts, they used this late-fee waiver to justify charging me another (they do not notify you until weeks later). I've had terrible landlords, but these guys take the cake. There are things that they can easily change, but I cannot see them doing it anytime soon.
It was a great leasing experience. I received a response the same day as my inquiry to view an apartment. Also only a one day turnaround time on my application. The leasing staff was very accommodating with working with my schedule and furniture delivery prior to my move in date. Great experience! Especially compared to other properties I had been in contact with during the same time.
Apartments are world class, but property management sucks. Already paying a lot of money, it’s ridiculous that they have to nickle-and-dime residents with silly fees.
