The management does a good job with some things. But they recently decided that residents are not allowed to have visitors park after 6pm. Anyone who does gets towed. I was told my friends and family could get an Uber to come visit me after work. I've never heard of such a thing. If I would have known this would be the policy, I would not have signed a lease for this place. Of course their response is that this is for the residents' benefit. But for myself and many others it is definitely not.

To clarify, guests are allowed to park on the property after 6:00 PM by registering their vehicles through our guest registration system. This process can be conveniently completed either online at www.R2Park.com or by scanning the QR code at the entrance of every parking lot. Once registered, guests receive approval for 24 hours along with a confirmation code for their records. If you have any questions regarding our parking policy, please don't hesitate to reach out.
The women in the office are always helpful (Michelle, Pamela and Raven) and pleasant to chat with. If I have an issue, they treat it as if I’m family.

Avoid this complex. Noisy neighbors, uneven floors, outdated appliances, bugs, water damage, and crime make it an unpleasant place to live. Management is unhelpful and gave me incorrect information, costing me over $1300.

There are a lot of unnecessary fees that they will get you with if you don’t read your lease closely. For example, we get charged for pesticides yet I had to buy ortho and spray around my complex to keep the wasp and flies out. Generally it’s a decent place! The residents are nice but they have several maintenance issues due to old appliances. The front office is great to work with but there are some unpleasant faces in management. This is a great starter apartment but not something I would recommend for someone to live in for any extended period of time.

I apologize that you have been experiencing some problems with flies and wasps outside your home. If you reach out to the office staff - we can add you in for immediate pest control services - they will attempt to locate any nest, and if one cannot be identify- we can provide you tips and tricks to naturally ward off those pesky outdoor insects.
We like the location, and we like how green the area is. When it comes to Management, we have experienced two managers and the new one is not up to par regarding professionalism. They lose things that matter. Like your covered parking addendum, despite having paid for it and assigned license plates to it in their system. Paying rent and keeping track of the security deposit is a herculean effort and nobody know's what's going on with it. Who needs to waste entire days on the phone when trying to give company money? Certainly not us. This property overall meetings living requirements but the vendors they get to maintain the property don't ever weedeat in front of our unit. It's an aging complex so there's definite moisture issues that need to be addressed and there's only one trash collection point for the entire complex which often fills up to extremely unsavory levels. I can't imagine what a difficulty it is to get the garbage out when winter arrives and based on the summer grounds keeping I'm not at all expecting the winter snow removal or ice reduction services to be up to par at all. For the price. It's just OK. it has an enormous amount of room for improvement and the manager should be replaced with someone professional and capable. If you're looking for a price is the right place. this place is reasonable but there are definite trade-offs that many might not be amenable to.

The pros: Great views, nice isolation and pet friendly. The cons: Their "payment portal" does not always work as intended, meaning sometimes you can't even access it, other times your payment won't go through. If your payment doesn't go through be prepared to have two passive aggressive notes stuck to your door (even if it is just $100) saying how you need to pay immediately or you will face immediate legal action in Clay county MO. While I have been here the pool has been out for several of the summer months, with no form of compensation for the tenants, and the leasing company still had it listed as an amenity on their website. The trash compactor is often not working, so people just pile their garbage outside of it. Questionable practices: I was not allowed to see the direct apartment I was leasing, when I moved in I found water damage all over in the bathroom. I am required to fill out a notice of vacation, even tho I am leaving at the end of my lease.

Moved here in May, everything has been pretty great. Besides the pool not being open all summer, don't really have any complaints. I love the walking trails and the maintenance people are quick with responses. I guess if I could change one thing it would be the fitness center, updates on equipment could be beneficial.

I love living here because they do not have breed or weight restrictions, so ALL dogs are welcome! They have great walking paths that are away from busy streets, and they have a fenced in dog area so dogs can run around and play.

Really pretty location with the trees and yet so close to the city. I have a 2 bed 2 bathroom, vaulted ceilings, en suite bathrooms and fireplace for a great price!

Chose The Retreat another option in the area and so far so good. Maintenance request was handled in a timely manner and work was good. Neighbors above us are loud with large dogs but that's the only negative.

I moved into The Retreat back in August and I do love the views here, along with the fact that it has a balcony. They have free parking optional, and they are only a 10 minute drive from downtown KC. For the price, it is a great deal. I will say, this is an older apartment, so that comes with some cons (although maintenance has done a great job at fixing anything in our apartment). The only other con to this apartment is that the room we moved into had some minor damages and a strong cigarette smell that has not gone away, as many people around us smoke. For the price, it's overall a great apartment to live at!

My partner and I have lived here for 2 years and we love it. Great location and very nice outside areas. There is a dog park for our 7 year old chinwa and i run in the area when i work out and ave never felt unsafe. We also are super close to CVS, Wal mart, save a lot, an several restaurants.

Love the woodburning fireplace and the deck that is accessible from all rooms. The storage os a good size and I love the amount of closet space. Wonderful vaulted ceilings make it feel less like an apartment and more like a home.

I lived in a one bedroom apartment which was incredibly overpriced. The infrastructure is very old so you will be submitting constant maintenance requests. Nothing works. The water is foggy and very questionable. The A/C units are a joke, and in the extremely hot summer, they fail constantly. It’s pathetic. The sinks and faucets brake. The Management will overcharge you. I paid 400 dollars on my deposit and received only 140 dollars back due to some minor scratches on the kitchen counter which was most likely already there because the place is like 20 years old. I personally had a lot of trouble with very unkind and obnoxious neighbors. You may not have this situation but this was my experience. They will call the police on you if you have friends over on a Friday night at 8pm. This place was awful. I’ve lived in many apartment complexes but this one was truly terrible.
Terrible apartments, landscaping is overrun and unkept, patios are built with untreated wood, so they have started to rot out. For what you’ll pay here, you can find much nicer elsewhere.

They have horrible customer service. Their employees have no compassion on your situation and rely heavily on emails and taping things to your apartment door to communicate. They do not want what's best for you, they just want your money. The apartments are old and falling apart, ours had black mold problems. STAY AWAY.

I love my apartment for the location, quiet neighborhood, and friendly neighbors. However this complex is poorly managed. Office staff can be rude. The after hours emergency line doesn't work. My monthly bill has been wrong on several occasions. Carport has collapsed on cars in the past. Not sure this complex is worth the headaches.
