The South Side of Corpus Christi is considered one of the prime residential neighborhoods of this industrious port city. With a great deal of new construction in the neighborhood, people are attracted to it because of the newer homes with updated amenities.
Those who love the outdoors find plenty to be excited about on the South Side, with Corpus Christi Bay and Oso Bay mere blocks away and the beaches of Mustang and Padre Islands just over a bridge. Low housing costs and friendly neighbors go a long way to making the South Side an attractive place to live.

Right now I'll give our experience a 4. We just moved in, for a bout a month now, and it has not been terrible. I realize that no where will be perfect, and that's okay. So an honest review is necessary. Some of the great things that this complex has to offer are truly great. The amenities; the gym, the fire pit, sets this apartment complex apart from a lot of the others on the Southside. They should be very proud of these key features! The pool table is well kept as well and the clubhouse is incredibly comfortable while also being efficient and flexible. Being an area for a party and an office space all in one. Now always, where there is greatness, there are bound to be holes. The location is pretty central! You're a run away from the gym, a 5 minute drive from the grocery store, and can find yourself right on Main Street staples with only one turn. Making it a high demand spot for both young and old, so we've had the loud after hours at times. Lastly the bird droppings are a lot.
Raven IS AMAZING!!! So helpful and kind!!! Love the complex, the atmosphere IS amazing!!! I love how clean and manicured the facility is, the pool is amazing, I’m excited to try it! I am a little disappointed with the approval process for getting my EMS approved and how I have to get another doctor to write a note to back up the first one… other than that I’m looking forward to my stay here.
The friendly staff has made the new move much easier and less stressful. The grounds look like they are very well maintained and look so inviting.

at the retreat everyone is so nice & i feel safe in this community. this is the best complex i have lived in the past 6 years! i will be recommending this complex to family and friends
The rent is on the pricey side, but the apartment itself is beautiful. We have police that stay at this complex so I feel a lot safer than before. I also think that the gym could get better equipment for the price we pay. Additionally, the fire pits at the pool are very disgusting and don’t get cleaned properly. I believe that should be kept up with daily so residents can use them.

I recently moved into a new apartment, and I’m really impressed. The layout is modern and spacious, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The open-plan living area feels perfect for hosting friends or just relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet but close to shops and restaurants, making it very convenient. Overall, it's a great balance of comfort and style—feels like home already!

Everything has gone pretty well. There's some minor issues here and there like ants and older appliances. But the office staff/maintenance has usually in a very quick manner come to check out and fix what's going on. Overall, after a year things have gone better than expected. Would recommend to friends and family.

The times I have put in a work order they have been completed super fast! I also love the atmosphere of Th Retreat very quiet and clean! Everyone is super nice around here as well!

I love my apartment community. It’s always clean, there is no trash. Anytime I need a light bulb changed or anything for my apartment the staff is quick to answer and help me. I give a 100 on service and staff friendliness.

So far everything has been great. I love how the gate actually works and the nice layout. I Took one star off because the walls are really thin and you can hear the neighbors at times, also because I feel like the pet deposit is too much sadly.

This is a great place to live, it is relatively close to everything that we need and it’s tucked away from any traffic. The only problem we have is roaches coming from the walls and drains.

The application process was so easy. Marisa helped get us moved in very quickly and she was very friendly. The whole community is gorgeous, the gym, game room, and movie room is open 24/7 which is so convenient. Pool is nice and clean. Community is nice and quiet, neighbors are friendly.

The staff work hard and do an outstanding job keeping the compound nice but unfortunately, I’ve seen a TREMENDOUS increase in pet owners not cleaning up after their pets. It’s gotten to the point where you can’t walk through the glass without dodging poop.

Been staying at The Retreat for several years. Like that the apartment complex has been updating amenities lately. Neighbors are polite and never had a noise complaint thus far. If I had to critique anything, it would be the cheesy speed bumps they recently put in. Unfortunately they are already coming up from the ground and are kind of unnecessary in this type of complex. Other than that, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Staff is great, apartments are comfy, oh and walls are not paper thin like a lot of other apartment complexes out there which is a plus! All jokes aside this place has been great.

The Retreat apartments are a great place to live to make you feel at home. They take great pride in making sure the community is clean and beautiful. The maintenance staff is quick and dependable and easy to contact. I’ve never experienced any problems in over 5 years. I feel very safe and comfortable - highly recommend to anyone!!

The leasing process was very smooth and easy for a first time renter. The office staff helped to guide me, and overall made it an amazing experience. The amenities are amazing, and there is something for everyone. The location is amazing too, being so close to different store and food options. The maintenance team is also amazing! I would recommend The Retreat to anyone looking for a new home!

This is my first time renting an apartment and I have nothing bad to say. The office staff was very helpful with my application and I have appreciated how quickly maintenance gets to me with requests. It is a very family friendly place and I always feel safe.

I’m very comfortable living here, I enjoy the complex. The only really issue I had was for the first like 4 months I lived here the dog park was closed (now fixed) and a good portion of the summer time the pool was closed for a remodel or repairs (now fixed). Huge plus, the maintenance staff is amazing, they are so quick!

This place is peaceful, quiet with wonderful amenities. Staff is friendly and welcoming, maintenance is quick to respond to minor repairs that we have needed (i .e. light bulb changes). Def glad we chose this place!
