Property Ratings at The Retreat
Things are going good and love it. Everyone was nice as well and it very quiet where I am. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking
The apartment is nice. The neighbors are nice. The only thing I don't like is that I do not get a response to my emails. I sent an email at the end of October and I still have not gotten a response. Other than that I like my apartment. It's quiet and I am able to live comfortably here.
great apartment complex! would recommend! great local restaurants and things to do around the greensboro area. i have been here 3 years so far and no complains.
I've been living here for 8 months now and still love it!! My neighbors are friendly and helpful, which means a lot to me, as a single senior. The office staff and maintenance staff have been responsive. I would recommend moving here to anyone who is looking to relocate.
Beautiful community, maintenance can be a little shotty but besides that I’ve loved every minute here. Lots of complexes so lots of different opportunities to get a gross apartment but we got a good one!!
The staff is great. Kind, friendly, hardworking people that keep us up to date on anything going on in the community or the surrounding area. Maintenance is super quick to respond to requests and they do a great job. I’ve been here almost 3 years and have no complaints.
I've been here a few months and no Complaints The area is kept clean and safe. The neighbors are really quiet, and all of the staff has been very helpful. They do activities to bring the community together and I appreciate that. The apt is a good size for me and I'm content .
My resident experience has been hot & cold. The cold is extremely noisy at times & accessibility to the office, gym, laundromat or pool at times. The hot is our office personnel & maintenance guys willingness to be very supportive in everyway.
It’s ok I’d say the only thing wrong with this place is that the one bedroom one bath place don’t have washer and dryer hook ups other than that, this place is pretty good you constantly hear firetrucks going by though
Quiet neighborhood with lots of beautiful trees. The apartment is good for the price. Maintenance is quick to fix any issues if there are any. Would definitely recommend living here!
love living here! the staff is super nice and helpful and very attentive. love how nice and quiet this area is too! will be recommending this place to others
Good place to stay for your first apartment good rent and nice environment. This is my first apartment and I can manage to cheap track of mail and rent.
It was so easy applying and completing the lease process. The staff is super helpful! I love my apartment and feel that it is a good value for my rental price.
The apartment community is ok, but sometimes it can be a little loud and some people are not very respectful. When I first moved here things were ok my neighbors were great. Things have changed people and area.
This experience has been frustrating. Between maintenance and some of the office workers. There are a few that have been super helpful but the majority are rude, unprofessional, and simply unhelpful.
Quiet, parking is too crowded. Maintenance is decent on getting to you and getting the repairs done. No vent in the bathrooms. Been there 12 years now.
Quiet so far just moved out here. Minor issues but pretty good area not what I thought frfr. Neighbors are cool maintenance is cool and quick
I love it glad to be apart! It’s peaceful and quiet and I have my own space it’s a great start off nice neighborhood and neighbors as well you have everything you need right around the corner as well
very safe, very quiet, nice people who keep to themselves, maintence is good. i’ve lived here for 2 years and not many complaints, except our oven/ stove is smaller that the average ones, and some apartments have bigger ones and the a/c sometimes smells weird and doesn’t reach well to the living sometimes unless you have your bedroom door open. so i suggest to get a window a/c if you plan to live here for a year or more.
The retreat is a Good place to live. No breed restrictions. Decent prices. On site laundry. Friendly office staff. Knowledgeable maintenance staff.
So far better than expected. Clean and decent size. It's a bit fidgety with some things due to the age of some of the appliances/where they have been painted over and it dried. Outside of that, its a good place for a good price.
Overall not to many issues other than maintenance being lazy and needing to complete things multiple times before the issues are properly resolved. I live in the two bedroom side and it’s been quiet for the most part and relaxing. Everyone keeps to themselves and does their own thing it’s nice.
Lovely so far!!! They had an apartment ready for me as soon as I asked and the place is great. Lofted ceiling one bedroom and the laundry on site is perfect!
Living here has been AMAZING. I have no complaints so far. It is pretty quiet and my apartment is truly great. The staff is also really nice and always willing to help
Love the point system. Very quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. If you plan on getting a one bedroom apartment I definitely recommend staying here.
The apartments are not kept up well. No matter which unit you move into you can tell maintenance and the refresh of the apartments aren’t done correctly. They just paint over whatever, glue back whatever, or adjust whatever so it looks redone. The walls are always peeling and the mildew/ mold issues are outrageous.
Honestly living here so far has been great. I feel safe and comfortable and the all of the staff have been nothing but nice, respectful, and caring.
A quiet place to live, the people who work in the office are super nice, they help you every time I go, they help me. I love this place, a super quiet place and the neighbors are super nice.
An incredibly beautiful place to live quietly, I love it many times. I have been wanting to enter a place this quiet for a long time to find peace and now I think I have found it. God has been good to me for giving me this blessing.
maintenance is great but the staff and management at the retreat are never on the same page with things. Extra payments are always randomly added without any notice and we get threats of vacating our apartment if we miss the water/office convenience fee, even though its never submitted on a consistent date. we send paperwork needed for our lease and somehow the staff always loses it or says they don't know how to open pdf files.
Move in was a little rocky , But overall the people are at least nice and the apartments are not in terrible shape. The rent is also decent , the only thing i dont care for is that washer and dryer connector is in the clothes closet ...?
Pretty good living experience. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. I wish they did more community events like hosting small gatherings or get togethers to foster community in the neighborhood
There is more storage and closet space than I expected. There are a few things I would want changed/fixed, but it's all pretty standard for an apartment. The neighbors have been very friendly and welcoming.
Price is good, location is good. The office staff is very helpful and responsive to requests. Maintenance always responds to issues quickly.
I’ve been here for three years, and the apartments are pretty decent. They are older, however for the price point I can’t complain too much. I’d say my biggest con is some of the neighbors are sketchy, and the amenities (especially the laundry) is never up to par. Overall you get what you pay for lol
I love living here its quiet and peaceful, everyone is friendly anytime I have a problem the office is very helpful. I hope to renew my lease next year!
Moved here a few days ago, like it so far. Im looking forward to using the pool and gym. A bit of a hassle moving furniture upstairs and the stove is pretty small but overall it's good for my needs.
Everyone seems nice, it’s quiet and somewhat secluded which I also appreciate. My unit is just big enough and gives an overall cozy vibe. It is reasonably priced as well
So far very good. Neighbors quiet and friendly. Everything in apt as it should be and maintenence called once and arrived quickly. Office staff has been incredibly helpful to soneone who could not figure out how to forward and download needed papers. She took her time and showed a lot of patience. Looking forward to using the amenities now that unpacking is finished . Thank you especially to Erica.
The move in process was successful and good. The neighboring portion has been up and down to say the least . Overall, I know how to make the best of anything.
I originally had looked at these apartments a few years ago and always told myself I will live here one day and I made the right decision it’s so quiet and peaceful and convenient for everything and everybody
So far so good can’t complain I wish that I could have a washer and dryer in my one bed one bath tho also a regular size stove would of been nice lol but other than that i like the place
Moved in recently and it has been a great experience. The neighbors are really friendly and nice. Management is great and maintenance comes very quickly to fill requests.
Beautiful neighborhood, nice pool, friendly staff (office, maintenance, etc.), and cute apartment! I love it here and am happy to renew my lease.
My stay at The Retreat has been great thus far! Maintenance had answered and completed my work orders in a timely manner. It is very well kept all around the general property. There are a lot of amenities which I am still getting to see and enjoy. Best of all, it is quite affordable!
Staff changes often. Work requests usually require a couple of follow up requests before complete. We have no dumpster, being made to live next to to garbage dump and still being charged a trash fee. It’s been a MONTH
Good place to stay at. It’s quiet and very chill. Management is cool as well. The maintenance they are good. My experience with the retreats was good.
I moved to NC in August 2023, and The Retreat was the place I chose to live. It had most of the amenities I wanted, and the rent was fair. I like living at The Retreat because of the pool, gym, and laundry center. There's a spacious walk-in closet, wall-unit AC, lots of indirect sunlight, and maintenance typically responds within a day. Overall, I like living here and chose the right first place to live.
I like this area, and how quiet it is, as well as price point. I would love to see improvements made to the apartment for the convenience of tenants. Having to leave to wash clothes in the cold or rain is inconvenient. Only being able to cool one room is frustrating as well. Plus no one likes washing dishes. Fixing those things for the one bedroom units would be a game changer even if there was a price increase.
Management changes so often you can’t keep up with the office staff. They do not notify us about anything if importance anymore. I’m disgusted and disappointed at how horrible this has turned out. My apartment got shot into the other day and not one phone call nor check up on me and my family. I called them about the bullet holes and no one came to fix it so I’m reporting them to the authorities. I’m over it and will probably pay to break my lease very soon. I don’t feel safe here at all and probably never will. After 7 years I’m over and done with this place. Do not move here if you are looking for a staff or company who cares because they don’t. A lot of shooting and car theft and break ins as well oh and not to mention the grassy areas are full of dog poop. Spend more to stay elsewhere. I DO NOT RECOMMEND !
