Property Ratings at The Rexford
Maintenance in "The Rexford Fremont CA" is the worst. The management doesn't take actions on time during emergency. In my case, the kitchen washbasin pushed the drainage water into the kitchen, living room and some part of bedroom. Nobody addressed the issue, finally we had to clean the home. This is the worst apartment I have seen in last 6 years.
First of all, our apartment was always comfortable. For the price of the area, it was very nice and upgraded. The apartment itself I always loved and felt comfortable in. An incident occurred which wasn't of any fault of the apartments at all. I made them aware of the situation and that same day the leasing staff and landscapers were fixing an issue. Not only accommodating my situation but also apologizing and being over the top kind. Honestly if I could give 1000 more stars i would. We had to leave because of my husband's new job but if we didn't we would stay there long term.

Thank you for this rave rating! We're thrilled to see you're enjoying an exceptional experience here at our community. If there is anything you ever need, don't hesitate to reach out to the office and let us know. Thanks again!
Please think twice before renting here. I bought rental car since my car was rear hitted on highway and i had to go through emergency for my pregnant wife and luckily everyone is safe. I bought rental car as my car went to repair shop. Among all these things, i forgot to exchange parking tag from my old car to rental car and I parked rental car in my own covered reserved shelter. and My rental car is towed by towing company midnight saying i do not have tag to the car and i had to pay $400 to get my car back. I have requested leasing office manager and towing company but no use. Towing company guys always look for car without tags and even you park your car in your allotted parking and sticker is not visible from outside, they immediately tow your car and charge the money. it is like giving employment to towing company to tow resident vehicles in their assigned parking. They increase rent every year 6 to 7% but beware of this. even you request to reduce rent increase, no use and they say it is market price

We are deeply discouraged by this characterization of our community as it is not indicative of the comfortable home life nor level of service we strive to provide. Everyone experiences apartment living differently and we are sorry that our community was not a better fit for you personally.
1. Dirty, dirty place! It only looks nice from the outside. There are bedbugs in the carpet and cockroaches running between the gap of kitchen cabinets. The apartment smells bad. The elevator wall is CARPET, and it smells like stinky feet inside. The hallways carpet is so filthy that you cannot tell the original color. 2. Noisy. The leasing agents will tell you the neighborhood is quiet. This is true only during daytime. The high school stadium cross the street has after school football and cheerleading training, and games every week. They play loud music and speaker broadcast. You cannot do anything but only wait for the game to finish. 3. You may lose your package. The mailbox is very small, so the postman has to leave big packages in the leasing office. I lost a package once. The leasing agents didn't care, and only said they were not responsible for any missing packages. 4. Sewage backup problems from old plumbing system. Some first floor units have sewage backup sometimes. Without any notice, the apartment shut off the water in the whole building for several hours. It happened several times after I moved in. 5. The elevator is tiny and broken every month. The elevator probably is as old as these buildings and breaks too often. It once stopped working for two weeks. It's too small to fit anything bigger than a twin bed. If you have larger furniture that need to move upstairs, you have to use stairs. 6. Too many doors to get in and out, your family and friends probably don't like to visit you because the premises is not easy to come in and get out, and parking is limited. All the entries are gated and all the buildings are locked. Although the rental agents tell you the doors are for security, the reality is that I saw people without keys just follow the residents here enter the building all the time. From time to time strangers knocked on my apartment door for soliciting or donation. They told me that I would get free newspapers for the donation, but I never got any newspaper because the newspaper delivery person could not get in without gate keys. 7. The bedrooms in the top floor get really hot during summer time. The bay area's hot summer time is getting longer and longer in recent years. This complex only has AC installed in living rooms, so the top floor bedrooms get really hot. Sometimes it feels like an oven. I wish I had known these things before I moved in, and I would have definitely changed my decision of moving here.
Don't rent here! It's a complete joke! They tell a bunch of lies to get you to sign the lease! Once you move in, you realize you have been tricked! You bring up your concerns and they fall on deaf ears. There is ZERO security in the community! People are up at all hours of the night and seems to be a bunch of flop houses. Therefore no one cares about the community. The common areas are trashed and never cleaned... DONT RENT HERE
DO NOT RENT HERE. Everything they promise went you come look at the place is a lie. The most disgusting place to live ever. Cockroaches, bed bugs, flops houses throughout the community. People awake at all hours of the night yelling outside. Staff changes every 2-3 weeks and then they blame the staff that has left for providing wrong information or not responding to issues. They change terms of the lease all the time by posting notes on your door. 6-8 people live in apartments meant for a max of 5. People constantly living on the floor. Common carpet never vacuumed. New carpet they put in earlier this year is beyond filthy. I expect this community to be RED tagged any day.
Rexford Management renovated my Apartment completely, so it was a no-brainer for me before signing the lease. My first year I had some maintenance and construction related issues, but my 2nd year stay at Rexford is peaceful. I just hope they build the new gym quickly as they promised last year. The Community is gated, so that is a big plus. Within a mile distance, I can access grocery stores, hospitals, BART, etc.
I have lived at the Rexford Apartments for a little over a year now. It is a great location, close to BART, grocery stores, restaurants. However, the Maintenance staff could be better. Sometimes they take awhile to respond to your requests. When they do a job for a unit they do not completely fix the issue. Parking can be somewhat of an issue in the gated lot, although there is a lot of street parking. Overall I do not know if i will renew again after my 2nd lease. Definitely will be looking at other options soon.
the Rexford apartment is one of the best apartment I live . Friendly environment and every facilities are available . We where conceded regarding security but it's not that bad the where change security code every month
