Home to sculpted mountains, the wild North Platte River, and the Laramie Mountain Range, Casper is as beautiful as it is rugged. This is the second-largest city in the state, and it has an even bigger personality. Casper still has a "Wild West" feel about it, and it has a long history as an oil boomtown.
Today, the city is home to Casper College and is considered the region's banking and commerce hub. Aside from its amazing landscape, Casper offers several other draws, such as the Fort Caspar Museum and Historic Site, the Tate Geological Museum and the Nicolaysen Art Museum. Casper is one of the last cities before reaching Yellowstone National Park, making it a popular stopping-point for tourists.
If going back in time and experiencing pioneer life interests you, visit The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center. The center is a cooperative venture among the City of Casper, the Bureau of Land Management and National Historic Trails Center Foundation.

Property Ratings at Ridge at Blackmore
They don't have anything that the tenant doesn't pay for they include separately from your rent internet and cable they also have a yards and ground feed they call their cam fee and water and sanitation is also a separate fee. Rent is only a base price when you get to adding all the other fees up you'll be paying well over what your targeted goal was in your rent. It is far as privacy you really don't have any if they say they're coming through they're going to come through and you're really not going to have any kind of an idea when that will be.

This apartment complex is scandalous. No matter how much you clean or the proof you have they will take your deposit. They never shovel the walks, the elevator doesn’t work half the time and the never clean the hallways which they charge you for. Looks nice from pictures but appliances are cheap.
Unfortunately, I'm left with no choice but to provide a one star review. - snow removal is non existent - I asked them to fix my garbage disposal machine. It was broken when I moved in. They agreed to replace it but they installed the new one incorrectly resulting in leaks all over the floor! - parking is an issue and they don't care. Cars will park long term in good spots without moving for weeks and even months. - they provide bad customer service and won't return your call if it doesn't result in incremental revenue for them. - they force you to purchase internet and TV and charge you 100$ month for it. - in addition to being forced to purchase internet they require you to setup an account with spectrum. The account maintenance fee with spectrum is 5 dollars a month which is a huge pain in the but considering it's only 5$ a month and you have to setup an account to pay spectrum. - they do bogus 'sprinkler inspections' so that they have a reason/excuse to intrude on your personal space and enter your apartment. Note this is not normal practice. It's just an excuse for them to enter your apartment. - it's been days since we had snow and they still haven't cleared the side walks from snow. - my water froze resulting in me needing to miss work. Over a dozen apartments had issues! Poor building design. - they entered my apartment without my permission to pick up a heater they left in my apartment. - their online rent payment processing system was shut down and you couldn't pay rent electronically. This notice was given on two business days notice. In addition they won't accept drop box payments so you need to drop the payment off inside the office. Some of us travel for work and weren't able to accommodate their ridiculous request to drop payment off inside the office during their limited 'business hours'. Ridiculous customer service. I'll likely fill out paperwork with the BBB unless they make this right. I feel bad for the other residents. Hopefully the ridge at blackmore makes this right but I'm not optimistic.

We are disheartened to hear that your experience at our community has not met either of our expectations. We strive to give 5 star services in every situation, but we have fallen short and we apologize. Please feel free to reach out to our manager Jessica Newson at 307-237-2200 or come to the office at your earliest convenience so that we can make this right moving forward. We appreciate your feedback.
Our stay at The Ridge was great, very few issues to complain about. The reason I gave it 1 star is because of the move out process. We maintained the apartment very well and cleaned it thoroughly before we left (by the move-out sheet they gave us) only to have $150 dollars deducted from our deposit for cleaning needed. I know this can be subjective, but I use to clean and flip apartments and I was Military for 14 years, so you can't tell me that we didn't clean well enough to receive our deposit back. When I called about it a gentleman answered the phone I told him the issue and he asked if I wanted an itemized list of what was cleaned (Which the cleaning that was charged was a falsified statement) and he just said he would forward my complaint to the property management. After a week (and still counting) I still have not heard anything about my complaint. I will be calling on a weekly basis until this is rectified. Highly unprofessional. Highly unethical. Stay away from these apartments, unless you don't care about your deposit.
This property is not only overpriced, they take advantage of everyone I have ever known to rent here. In the lease they list cleaning charges to come out of deposit but they do not tell you that they take the carpet cleaning out automatically. Also, the cleaning crew is obviously scamming tenants for post rental cleaning. You can hear absolutely everything above and below you and the office staff is rude and unwilling to help when issues arise. Don't waste the money here. The employees and owners are not decent humans.
The apartment itself was okay, they claim luxury but are clearly not. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing (especially in the bathrooms). The parking is an absolute joke, don't plan on parking close to your building for sure. Breakers trip often for whatever reason. Their pool (at the first clubhouse) last year had some kind of bacteria in it and had to be closed for some time. It was NEVER clean after that. All the siding on the buildings looks damaged and or falling off (I'm sure they'd charge the tenants for it if they could). Be sure you fill out the pre-move in damage sheet to a T as they will have plenty of mystery charges after you have moved out.
My husband works for Halliburton, and while he was out on his 2 wk rotation they decided to re-surface the black top. They did notification thru letters placed at your door...SO not LEGAL! Many of these blew away and over 120 cars were towed, including ours. Legal notifiction comes from letters sent to your address, but to them it was deemed appropriate to place them at our door during a wind storm. I was told that because they put a piece of paper in my door, that they had NO WAY to track, or, assure that the paper actually was put there, I was out of luck, and the towing cost me 190 dollars. They also informed me that we cannot leave the apt for more than 72 hours...So anyone who travels for work or vacations any should NOT live here. Go to the Peserve! I moved out Sept. 28, recieved a letter from the manager telling me that I was going to get back 958 dollars of my deposit, on Nov. 2 and the check would come from corporate. It is now Nov. 9 and NO CHECK! Legally, they are required to give me a check no later then 30 days from the end of the lease...If you were relying in this money for any reason, you would be in trouble. My advise is pay a hundred dollars more per month just to know your apt complex has your back. I WOULD GIVE THIS APT A " 0 RATING", BUT IT WILL ONLY ALLOW MY TO GIVE THEM A 1....
I was living there for awhile and paying 1400 a month plus utilites was way to much and that was for a two bedroom it was decent the people above us was always loud and they wouldn't do nothing about it. But I could get a two bedroom house for cheaper
The apartments at the ridge at blackmore are pretty nice, if you don't mind being able to hear everything in adjacent apartments, even light switch flicks. And if you get one against blackmore road you can hear the road clearly, even from the 3rd floor. The management is not overly helpful. The pool is also closed most of the year and if you want to use the grill next to the pool you have to reserve and rent it.
Good things: new building, big kitchen, pool, hot tub, good repair service Bad things: expensive, touchy smoke alarm In fairness, all housing in Casper is expensive.
The Ridge at Blackmore was one of the worst apartment complexes I have ever lived in, even worse than student housing in college! The one redeeming quality of the apartment was its size, but that's about it. Apartment walls are paper thin. We had a top-floor apartment and could routinely hear the apartment BELOW us. The "provided" Internet service routinely had issues, but although it was "fixed" several times it still was problematic throughout our 18 months there. Despite being less than two years old, the carpet was already threadbare in spots upon move in. Parking is awful. They built covered parking that engulfed most of the free parking spaces and then tried to charge $35/month for those spaces. As a result, if you returned to your house late at night (because of my job I did often) you had to park a long ways away from your building while many of the covered spots sit empty and unsold. Worse, they have ridiculous fees ($2000+ to break a lease) and eat up most of your deposit in hidden cleaning fees. We were charged a "mandatory" $110 carpet cleaning fee and $210 for apartment cleaning after we were told at move out that our apartment was spotless by the leasing agent. What a joke! Unfortunately, the Ridge at Blackmore is one of the few newer apartment complexes in Casper that is not rent controlled. Still, do everything you can to avoid it unless you want to deal with the hassle!
The Ridge at Blackmore is so unorganized and will add charges that you didn't even know about. I called the office and no one ever returned my phone call, there were charges that I was unaware of when I moved, and no one ever really seemed to know what was going on!! Much of the office staff is not accommodating and is sometimes rude!!!!!
Don't rent here if you have any other option. On the surface, the apartments look nice, but they aren't insulated. There is a constant barrage of noise, including at night when you can hear people in other apartments snoring! The office staff refuses to do anything about noise complaints and are usually visiting with each other whenever you go into the offices. These apartments are extremely overpriced and low quality!
I have lived here 2 years. The only reason I still live here is because Casper is a hard town to find rentals. The inside of my apartment is spacious and beautiful, but that's about the only good thing. I agree with the other reviewer... parking is HORRIBLE. There are not enough spaces for all residents so we fight over them. The brochure promised one reserved covered spot per apartment. They never did reserved spots becuase there are not enough, and they only put up a handful of covered spots. I was told there will be a lottery to get one and you will have to pay to rent it. Lots of broken promises at this complex. And the quality of the buildings is horrible!!! Not sound proof at all for new apartments. You hear everything in every apartment. I can hear the guy upstairs peeing!! Very, very over-priced!!
Horrible parking and office wont do anything about it it's not as much of bad parking but people from other buildings parking in front of other buildings since they dont want to walk ten feet so there is a completely empty parking lot kon the other side of the complex and no parking on the other side
