Speaking of the beach, Waveland is the only city on the Mississippi Gulf Coast that prohibits commercial buildings on its beachfront.

Waveland continues to foster a strong sense of community with an array of vibrant festivities, including the annual Wave Fest, Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, and Mardi Gras Parade (which actually starts in Bay Saint Louis and ends in Waveland).
