Hi, thank you so much for your high rating! Have a fantastic day! :)
The Ridge Apartments were my husband and I's first home. We loved living there, it felt safe and homey. I would have given them a 5 star rating up until a few weeks before we moved out. When it got close to our move out date, we received move-out instructions, listing things to clean, etc. One of their instructions was to pay them to shampoo our carpets. It said "As stated in your lease, all residents must shampoo their carpets." When we went to double check that the lease actually said that, we couldn't find it. So my husband went to the front office and asked about it. The lady at the desk searched our lease and said she couldn't find it either, and that she would speak to her manager. We didn't hear back so we messaged the office. We got a phone call from the lady at the office who told us which page to reference in our lease. This section of the lease stated that we must pay for carpet cleaning IF we soiled the carpet beyond normal wear and tear (which we didn't. We took excellent care of the apartment). So again, she said she'd talk to the property manager. We ended up reaching out again and spoke to the same person again on the phone. This time she said that the lease stated to "follow move-out instructions" therefore, they were going to charge us for shampooing. I recommended they add the shampooing requirement to their lease for future residents so that they could know what they're signing up for, she said they used to but they took that out of the lease and just say "follow move out instructions" instead. Again, the instructions said "As stated in your lease, all residents must shampoo their carpets." Which is a lie. Our lease did NOT say that anywhere. Management could not find it in our lease at all. We held up our end of the legal agreement to keep the carpets in good condition (or else pay to have them cleaned) but they did not uphold their legal obligation. We paid the $68 to have our one bedroom shampooed because we didn't want to make them angry and lose our deposit (they would've taken that amount plus an additional fee if we didn't pay that separately). This whole incident was uncharacteristically dishonest and deceptive for The Ridge. Very disappointed. I would be wary of a complex that straight up lies to you and charges you for things that were not in your agreement.

Hello, thank you for your kind words and this wonderful review! Thanks again for the recommendation, and have an amazing day!
I have been the Ridge 2020-2021. I didn't feel good and would share some aspects here. First, all the facilities are so old. Refrigerator kept flowing water from freezing layer to fresh layer. I made my maintenance requests. For the first 3 times, the maintainers could come next day and fixed it. Later, when I made my maintenance request, the maintainer may come in a week or longer. Also, I really hate their smoke detector alarm, which kept weird alarming at 2.00 am - 4.30 am. I made thousands of maintenance requests while the maintainer just came to replace the battery or replaced with new one as they said. The question is the detector still kept alarming wired at 2.00 am to 6.00 am. They just cannot check their facility alarm system to find the root causes. Another issue I wanna mention is the cockroach. I didn't remember how many times I called pest control services. Their pest control is only available on Thursday. If you miss this date, you have to wait for another week. Always, their pest control is put insect killer around the place where you have seen them. The question is that does not help at all. I kept all my food in my refrigerator and still kept seeing many cockroaches in my apartment. They never did a deep pest control. Their maintenance is always just reactive to my request and never care about whether that helped or not. Secondly, I have to say is they deducted my deposit for unfair reasons. Their deposit refund process is you moved out and then they will mail you your deposit check in one month (or may be longer). When I received my deposit check one month later since I moved out, I found they deducted $125 from my deposit. When I moved out in August 2021, their staff told me I have to put $48 in my account for the clean of carpet of my bedroom, otherwise they will charge this money from my deposit with higher fee. Well, I put this money in my renter account and cleaned bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and replaced stove base plates etc. Finally, they charged me $125 for clean fees, including $35 for ventilation cover on my stoves (well I accepted this fee), and $90 for the clean fee of my apartment. I cannot accept this $90 clean fee as I spent a whole day cleaning my apartment when I moved out. I made a phone call to them on Friday and their staff told me they needed to talk with their manager or other some colleagues and would reply me next Monday, which never happens. I really don't want to spend much time on this kind of things.

I have enjoyed my year here at The Ridge more than any other apartment I've lived in. The management communicates clearly, quickly, and professionally. The maintenance team is swift to address major issues. The property is proactively maintained and updated to prevent deterioration. The location is phenomenal. If we were not moving out of the area we would definitely remain residents here.

Awesome staff and location! Haley and Virginia went above and beyond to make me feel at home from the start. Maintenance is super nice and responsive. HEB and Target are only a 5 minute drive and Wolf Pen Creek is right across the street. I have renewed my lease a while back for another year and got a great rate!

Matthew M., thank you for your kind words and this wonderful review! Feel free to reach out to us if you need anything. Have a wonderful day.
The location is wonderful right across from Wolf pen creek park and the property is quiet and safe. The two maintenance guy are great! This website says we have GIG internet that is FALSE I get around 85 mbps. The management has very poor communications with residents and is operatives in a reactive style which leads to a lot of issues. The appliances are out dated i'm pretty sure my stove and dishwasher are the originals from when they build this place in the 90s. When I walk into my apartment I am greeted by by a cracked tile foyer (was like this when I moved in) and mis-match cabinets.
