Property Ratings at The Ridge
The unit itself, amenities, events, and area are great. Repetitive issues of noise during the night, also management is very deteriorated (even with new employees), and the maintenance team is also precarious. The phone line never works, I personally have had to call up to 10 times for it to be answered, office hours are outdated, and when I express that I want to speak to a manager, the agents tell me there is none. I believe these issues are more than just complaints with an email solution; they require innovation and empathy to be resolved. I also believe the management knows what needs to improve; they are big issues with easy solutions, so it's in their hands if they want a decaying community or not.
Only mildly screwed over. Other than that, pretty good offerings for the price, especially for a student apartment. Personal bathroom, lot of sq ft, parking, gym.
I really enjoy being here! The layout of the apartment/ townhome is very nice and I love how welcoming everyone is up front. Very thankful to be in a great community!
Love it here great area nice amenities cool roommates hands down a great area to live in Gainesville and enjoy your time when you’re here overall great experience
Im loving the experience that I’m having here at the ridge and can’t wait to experience more and see what more it has to offer I’m thankful for moving in with my best friends so this made the moving process more easier
I’ve been living at The Ridge for almost 5 months now. I put in a maintenance ticket for my washer to be fixed 3 times. Each time the maintenance team will mark it as complete but nothing has been fixed. The first time I put in the order it took them 3 whole weeks just to come by and look at the washer. 3 weeks without washing my clothes. So I tried washing my clothes once they marked it complete and due to the inside of the washer still being misaligned my dress got caught in between the lining of the washer and the agitator. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT IT. I put in a second ticket, same result. Then a third. I spoke to the office manager twice concerning the issue and they gave me the run around about being low staff. It’s been 4 almost 5 months and our washer still sounds like a tornado. We can’t even wash our clothes anymore at this point. This is RIDICULOUS. I went back to the office this past Saturday to speak to someone and a new hire told me that the manger had quit.
maintenance requests took more than 3 weeks to get done and even then it was a poor and uncomplete job. trash chutes are not cleaned properly and often enough which leads to overflow and bad smell.
The ridge staff is very nice and i love the area. Its very cute and quiet. The pool deck and the gym are really nice. The study areas are comfy and clean.
We feel very comfortable at The Ridge. The living room is easy to decorate and helps us feel at home. We are so excited to see where the year takes us!
I feel like the communication is pretty terrible. Very rarely can I get calls through to the office and when I can, they typically don’t know the answers to my questions. If I ask management to call, it’s likely they never will in my experience. Hopefully things will improve, but at the moment, I don’t know if this is a place I could continue to live next year. The townhouses are very nice, but communication and service is key to me when paying so much for an apartment.
It’s been really great so far. Roommates are super nice and the unit has been good. Lots of street lights so it feels safe at night as well. Definitely recommend.
The room is huge, I love every bit of it. I'm so excited for this year! The pool is also hugeeee and the gym is amazing. I'm happy I've made the right choice.
Very nice neighborhood, good roommates. Room was not very well maintained, the roofs drywall is peeling and my door doesn’t lock. Didn’t get the room I wanted as well.
The community is lovely except the furniture for the amenities such as the chairs or couch. The staff are lovely except for the maintenance people they’re very rude and flippant about issues. Our townhouse was a disaster upon move in and genuinely disgusting and unliveable.
Staff is very nice and helpful, always doing their best to help you out, they all seem very genuine and not rude at all. Community is very nice, however there are always numerous people that do not clean up after their pets, so you have to watch out when you walk through any grass area.
I have lived at The Ridge for the past 3 years, this being my fourth year, and it has been a great experience so far. I look forward to the coming year.
The staff is very helpful and went above and beyond for me. They worked for weeks to help find something that fit my needs. I haven’t had another complex do that for me so I am very grateful!
My experience is great and def recommend this community. The community is very nice and peaceful. Everybody is very friendly. The community is very put together.
No other place around with amenities quite like the Ridge. And with the sizes of the units offered it doesn’t even feel like living in an apartment!
Excited to move into this community that includes wonderful amenities! I love that they have created a private space for each student along with a community area in each pod.
The staff is very nice and helpful with any questions or concerns. The area is peaceful and quiet and I like the community. The units are spacious.
I have had a great time living at the Ridge this year. Apartment is great, amenities are better than anyone's around, and staff is helpful. Only problems have been some slight maintenance issues but all were resolved quickly.
The staff is always friendly and knows us on a first name basis. The pool is amazing and the gym has pretty much everything. I love living here and their community events are fun.
The Ridge can get a little noisy with sirens and random alarms going off in the middle of the night and the walls are thin. Other than that I really enjoy the ridge and all its amenities. The gym is great!
The apartments are in a very nice area aside from the fact that college students are occasionally very loud late at night outside. The layout of the townhomes is very nice and spacious
Love the location but utilities are expensive here parking can suck if you have three roommates and maintenance is kinda iffy. Amenities are quite good though.
Very punctual and clean! The pool and gym are amazing ! If something needs to be fixed they get to your appartment quickly! They ensure you that they are only a phone call away.
The Ridge is great value for money. It's centrally located by Butler plaza which makes errands convenient while still having access to campus via the RTS. The neighborhood atmosphere can be loud at times, especially with after hour pool visits. However, overall, the experience has been great so far with a plethora of amenities and community activities.
staff are very kind and helpful, you can tell they really care about the community. Only problem there is are the residents who do not clean up after their dogs, you have to be constantly looking down when you walk to make sure you dont step on anything.
It has been great so far. Quiet community with helpful office employees. When I have an issue which isn’t often, they help get it corrected right away.
Amazing. Amenities and staff are great. I’m moving in August 17th and they have been nothing but amazing with helping me with all of my needs .
Isaiah was awesome and walked me through the leasing process. The community is clean and walkable. This community has the largest pool patio and I will be certain to use the amenities.
The house is extremely big and the layout is great. The staff is very helpful too especially when it comes to helping with packages, questions, missing keys, etc. I love living at the Ridge and am excited to be signed here again for next year.
My roommates and I love our apartment! And the bus stop is right outside our door, BONUS! Summer is coming and can't wait to enjoy the pool area.
I’ve had an amazing experience here at The Ridge. The community keeps clean and helps all of the residents when they need it. The staff is very nice and the amenities are amazing.
The Ridge is a great place to live. The apartments are beautiful and the staff is great. I love the area too, and it’s a quick bus ride to campus.
Dog poop everywhere!!! People are not held accountable for not picking up after their pets at all!! The leasing agreement says there will be fines for not picking up after pets but it isn't even enforced. Poop. Is. Everywhere! Watch your step!!
The space that is available in the rooms is super nice and the windows bring a lot of light into the room. Just be wary of random roommates that you are matched with based on your preferences. My roommate and I had certain preferences toward quietness and cleanliness and our random roommates are the opposite.
I have had a great time at this apartment complex. The units and the amenities are very nice. Whenever I have had small issues maintenance usually comes pretty quick.
Nice environment. Friendly staff. Always giving out stuff to residents. Overall good experience. However, some residents do not clean ho after their dogs.
All of the staff has been really helpful with any issues I've run into and those issues have honestly be really minor such as some WIFI issues. Overall, I've enjoyed the convenience of the Ridge being by Butler Plaza for any weekend errands I might have. The study room is great for that school grind and just contributes to the fact that the community is focused on providing an amazing atmosphere for UF/Santa Fe students.
After finally being settled here and getting my move in issues resolved I got comfortable with the ridge and their staff. Staff works hard to solve your issues and they make sure to host fun events for the community! Isaiah is awesome and has helped me a ton. I wish that they would fix the hot chocolate machine as it’s been out for a while.
I love living here! Such great amenities, the pool and lazy river are ideal! I love how in my apartment I have a bonus room and a half bath!! makes it super easy when visitors come !!
The apartment was generally clean when I got into it for the first time. The way the rooms are set up is amazing and the amenities are awesome and well taken care of.
The staff is great, anything that needs to be handled within my apartment gets fixed almost immediately. All the amenities that come with this complex are amazing.
I’ve had an absolute amazing experience at The Ridge. The community is super safe and clean, and the staff are extremely friendly. My favorite thing are the resident events, they have such great options each month and it gets me excited to wait for them at the beginning of each month.
Has genuinely been a great experience here at the Ridge. Pricing is very fair for the sheer amount of space as well as amenities provided. Front office staff and maintenance are all extremely friendly. And as a pet owner, I can’t imagine theres a better community with the dog park and ample walking paths nearby.
The community here is nice, the staff is attentive and always friendly, and maintenance always goes above and beyond. My only complaint is other residents, people leaving trash in the hallways, letting their dogs poop everywhere, not putting up weights at the gym. The property does a good job at what they can control
Overall good. Study rooms could be kept up better as well as the lounge and all amenities . I am on end unit, so I hear everything going on outside. The parking sucks. However, maintenance and staff are great.
The layouts are nice, but the area can get really loud when people are out late at night. You can hear everything through the walls. Also, the ridge does not pair you with roommates based on your preferences. My roommate and I said that we are very quiet and clean and we got paired with people who are the opposite.
